“…..”
“Actually, there are a few things I don’t understand. It seems that not only has your personality improved, but also your overall physical abilities, including swordsmanship. But no matter how much I think about it, I can’t quite understand why.”
Aria murmured something incomprehensible, then muttered, “Could it be the scheme of that sinister elf who stays hidden in the great forest and rarely comes out?”
Why?
The Aria standing before me didn’t feel like the Aria I knew. No, she was definitely different. That gentle smile, as if teasing me; that way of speaking, far more intellectual than usual; that elegant demeanor exuding a mature grace—none of it was familiar to me.
…No, that wasn’t true. This wasn’t the first time I had seen Aria like this. I was certain I had seen her like this before. That was unmistakably—
“…Aria, you… no way…”
‘Ugh!’
I tried to say something to Aria, but I must have reached my limit. I struggled desperately to stay conscious, but my already blurry vision quickly darkened.
Then, just as my body began to collapse toward the floor, someone gently wrapped their arms around me, holding me close.
“…Thank you. Thank you for giving me a name. Thank you for staying by my side until the very end. Thank you for making me happy.”
“And thank you… for trusting me until the very end.”
For some reason, I felt at ease in the warmth embracing me. I surrendered to the surging darkness. Just before my consciousness faded completely, someone whispered softly into my ear—
“I promise. I will stay by your side until the very last moment.”
“So, I will make sure to prove that the choice you made today was the right one.”
“So, at least for this moment…please rest in peace.”

And so, the battle came to an end.
With a roar that shattered the heavens and the earth, the clash of convictions concluded with one man’s victory.
In that vast battlefield, a woman stood, barely able to breathe, watching the fight unfold.
Her name was Iris el Devhart.
She was both the teacher and lover of Cain von Estel, a woman who had pledged to share everything with him.
“…Cain.”
‘I saw everything. I engraved it all into my heart.
Your struggle, your will, your determination.’
Honestly, every time he was wounded by that woman’s hand, Iris wanted to rush to him. But she held herself back. Because she couldn’t turn away from his efforts—the way he stood there, putting everything on the line.
In the end, he won. He proved his worth through his own strength alone.
The brilliance of that moment was incomparable to anything else in this world.
It was magnificent!
And with that, her desire to claim him only grew stronger.
‘I want to run to you right now, to take you back to the Islands as I did before. I want you to see only me, smile only at me, love only me.’
‘This time, I want to be happy with you—until the moment the world ends.’
Just imagining being with him made her heart race uncontrollably.
The thought of having him by her side forever filled her with overwhelming joy. That deep, consuming emotion within her—it must be love.
“Cain.”
Iris’s eyes gleamed with greed. She no longer saw or cared about anything around her.
“Now, I truly want to make you mine.”

“…That was the best, really.”
Kyrie el Denaris, the guardian of the World Tree at the heart of the great forest, trembled, her face flushed.
The scene she had just witnessed—secretly, from the shadows—was unlike anything she had seen in her long life.
It was astonishing!
It was exhilarating!
Even though some time had passed, the excitement still lingered in her body. It was an overwhelming thrill, a pleasure so intense it made her shudder.
“…Ah, that was really incredible. At this level, he might even be comparable to Iris el Devhart.”
In Kyrie’s personal opinion, Cain had always been the most captivating, but today was particularly extraordinary. No matter how many times she watched, she never grew tired of it.
The sight of the man she loved pouring everything into his convictions—it was intoxicating.
Kyrie involuntarily licked her lips, her tongue darting out.
She was thirsty.
This alone wasn’t enough. Not nearly enough. The monotony of her long, eternal life had left her craving more. She needed more entertainment.
“Ah, I see.”
Suddenly, an idea struck her.
There was still one piece she hadn’t moved.
Ariel Thiers.
As far as Kyrie knew, Ariel was the most twisted, the most unpredictable—far more deranged than even Bianca.
Of course, it would take some time. Ariel was intelligent, partially aware of the hidden truths of this world.
But Kyrie knew all too well the key to driving that serpentine woman into action.
“Now then, Ariel Thiers… what kind of scene will you set for me?”
When everything aligns and all the truths are laid bare—what choice will he make?
For now, just imagining that future was enough to keep her entertained.
(G: I mean…all I can say is rest in peace Cain von Estel. Your suff*ering is my entertainment.)
