Chapter 14: Will You Be My Sword (part 2)

“What are you talking about, Kiba?”

“Ah, you don’t seem to know. It’s not often that the student council president, Hoshizora, shows interest in a man!”

“Then why don’t you go instead…?”

Hyunjin had a rough idea why the student council president had called me. It wasn’t anything pleasant.

‘It’s probably about the game.’ Hyunjin thought as he said, “Calm down.”

Sojuro made an exaggerated movement and raised his voice, “What, you block of wood!! Wow, the student council president called you, and that’s your reaction? How rude!”

“Seriously, why are you making a fuss, Kiba?”

“The daughter of Hoshizora High School’s president and student council president—why would she have any reason to look for you? Yes, man, yes! Don’t you know the saying, ‘interest is not that far from attraction’?”

“Is that saying even appropriate for this situation?”

“This guy. This…this block of wood!!”

“I’m heading back anyway. Why don’t you go to the classroom first, Kiba?”

“B*astard!! I am so jealous!!”

Sojuro ran toward the classroom, wiping away his tears, while Hyunjin wondered if he was truly in such an envious situation.

“Well, let’s just be done with it.”

[Tsubasa’s POV]

Tsubasa was in the student council president’s office, sorting through the usual stack of paperwork.

“Hmm.”

She had been waiting for the boy named Kim Hyunjin at the school gate. Thanks to a chance encounter, she had called him to the student council office, but there were many suspicious aspects about him.

Even his most recent actions raised questions. He had single-handedly driven out a notorious biker gang, [Evil Hearts], with sheer skill.

And aside from that, wasn’t he also an exceptionally skilled video game player?

‘I don’t know how this will turn out…,’ she thought.

If she could get him on her side, it would definitely be beneficial in some way. And it also wouldn’t hurt to learn about the game. As the student council president and the second daughter of the Hoshizora Foundation, she believed she could somehow bring him to her side.

Using her authority as the student council president, she could assign him to the disciplinary committee or some other position, ensuring regular contact.

“If possible, it would be nice not to rely on authority,” she muttered, waiting for Hyunjin to arrive while reviewing documents.

[Hyunjin’s POV]

“Excuse me,” Hyunjin said, knocking on the door of the student council president’s office.

“Come in,” a sharp female voice responded.

Drreuk!

As soon as he entered, he felt the difference. The student council room felt markedly different from a regular classroom. The atmosphere was formal and imposing.

‘How much had they spent on this place?’

Tsubasa was seated behind a massive desk, reviewing a mountain of documents.

“I came as you asked at the school gate. What’s the matter, Hoshizora Senpai?”

“Can you close the door?”

“Oh, yes.”

“Please sit in front of the desk.”

He quietly closed the door, entered, and took a seat.

Tsubasa handed him a cup of tea and looked at him.

“Kim-kun, you were recommended by the Lionheart family and admitted to Hoshizora High School.”

“Yes.”

“Don’t ask me how I know. It’s easy to find out by looking at the student list.”

Tsubasa casually pulled out a document and tapped it.

“So, why did you call me here, Hoshizora Senpai?”

“Your sharpness hasn’t changed.”

“Sharp? I’m not sure what you mean.”

“Don’t you remember? Back then, you…”

Hyunjin gave her a look, “Hmm. Isn’t that something better left unspoken at school? Isn’t that something you would want to keep as a secret, perhaps?”

Tsubasa put her finger to her mouth and replied, “You’re right. I almost made a mistake.”

“Anyway, let’s get to the point. Kim-kun, will you be my sword?”

“Excuse me?”

‘Did I hear that right? A sword?’

What kind of love comedy plot was this?

“It seems you didn’t hear me. Kim-kun, please be my sword.”

“No, I heard you… but shouldn’t you explain everything first?”

“Fair enough.”

Tsubasa nodded and continued, “Recently, [Evil Hearts], a notorious biker gang, came to the school. You drove them out.”

“Well… I did.”

“Given that, I’d like you to take on the role of the Discipline Committee chairman.”

“The chairman of the discipline committee…?”

“For the record, I won’t accept a refusal.”

She was relentless. Accepting her offer wasn’t difficult, but it would be problematic if it interfered with his personal agenda.

“I have no intention of accepting. Hoshizora Senpai.”

“Why not?”

“I dislike troublesome things. Now, if you’ll excuse me.”

Hyunjin turned toward the door and began to leave.

“Wait, Kim-kun…!”

“Oh, by the way, feel free to reach out if you ever need help. I don’t mind lending a hand, but I’m not interested in rigid constrictions. Excuse me.”

With a polite bow, Hyunjin walked out of the student council president’s office.
