Ian looked at Dinua’s attire and kept his mouth shut.
It wasn’t like the dress the principal had worn to seduce Cadet Ian before, but it also wasn’t the kind of clothing a student should wear either.
“No, Senior. Why are yo…?”
“Well…I was in a hurry…is it ugly?”
Dinua shrugged slightly and lowered her head. However, due to the height difference, she had to bow so much that her upper body was exposed, revealing more of her figure.
“Hahaha, Senior. Shall we go inside and talk?”
Syrah, who couldn’t just stand by and watch, quickly grabbed Dinua’s shoulder, turned her upper body, and pulled her out of Ian’s view.
Dinua was helpless against Syrah’s grip and was dragged inside.
The maid watching from the side grew restless and began to tremble.
Her master had shown such a figure in front of a man, only to be led away by another noble and forcibly taken inside.
By then, Ian could tell that the maid was neglecting Dinua and looking down on her. If she had been Stella’s maid, she would have protected her master, even if it meant throwing herself in harm’s way.
“Uh, well…”
Dinua, now inside her room with Syrah, blushed slightly as if embarrassed and began to introduce the space.
To be honest, the room was so gloomy that it was hard to believe it belonged to a woman. There wasn’t a single thing that was girly, pink, or lovely. Heavy blackout curtains blocked the light from entering the room.
“Aww, what a dark soul you are,” Syrah teased.
Saying so, she pulled up the curtains. Although bright sunlight flooded in, the room still felt lifeless and gloomy.
Ian pulled out a chair in front of the desk and sat down, looking at Dinua.
Dinua, who had wanted to sit alone with Ian on the bed, now sat down with Syrah instead, her expression filled with disappointment.
Seeing Dinua’s fluttering gaze, Ian closed his eyes, unsure of where to direct his eyes.
“…Do you like this?”
No matter how socially unaware she was, there was no way she could miss the instinctive gaze of a man.
Dinua flinched slightly, making waves ripple through her body. It continued until Syrah, unable to watch any longer, smacked her on the shoulder.
“Ahhhh!?”
“Senior, you’re to timid.”
“I am…not.”
Even though she was struck by her junior, Dinua only shrugged. Seeing that she wasn’t particularly angry, Syrah began to laugh as if she had found a new toy to play with.
Dinua instinctively sensed that Syrah intended to tease her and cautiously moved away.
After observing her reaction, Ian decided to ask a question that had been lingering in his mind since coming here—something about how Dinua had made a contract with the demon.
“Senior.”
“Yes?”
“How did you get your hands on the scroll you used on me?”
At those words, Dinua lowered her head and began to tremble. Her pupils shook with anxiety.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I was wrong, so don’t hate me, I’m sorry…”
“…Senior?”
“…Ian, why is she acting like this?”
Syrah, slightly unnerved, stepped away and looked at Ian.
Cadet Ian couldn’t even guess why Dinua was reacting this way.
‘No, maybe…’
He had thought everything was resolved…that he had forgiven Dinua, and she had accepted it.
He had believed that the trauma of the sta*bbing had faded. But had something happened during the interrogation? Or was Dinua only now beginning to feel the weight of her actions?
Either way, it was clear that she was on the verge of breaking down.
Cadet Ian got up from her chair and gave Syrah a meaningful look.
Realizing there was no point in pushing further in the current situation, Syrah cautiously stepped away.
Taking a seat next to Dinua, Ian gently wrapped his arms around her shoulders and held her carefully.
“It’s okay, Dinua.”
“Uh, uh-?”
“It’s okay.”
“Hemh, Ian. Ian—.”
Dinua sobbed and hugged Ian tightly.
Ian stroked her back, comforting her as she cried.
And—beyond Dinua’s shoulder, a sly smile crept onto her face.
Watching from a distance, Syrah suddenly realized she had been deceived.
‘No, this senior…!’
Using Ian’s kindness, she had feigned weakness to earn sympathy.
If Syrah were to call Dinua out on it now, Dinua would feign ignorance, pretending she had lost everything in the world. And then, Cadet Ian would cast Syrah a disapproving glance for bullying Dinua.
It was a masterful tactic—one that only Dinua could pull off.
All Syrah could do now was pray that Ian would see through Dinua’s act and understand the cunning heart of the black-hearted woman before her.

it feels like the author is trying tk make me dislike Danua because wtf is this? this wasnt a skit or a joke, she messed up MAJORLY and a couple days later she’s so fine with it she acts victim about it and abuses his kindness like this?
Dude, she’s a typical yandere. That’s normal for her personality type.
well, I guess that’s true, tho I feel like she was being portrayed as a bit of a soft yandere or even just with yandere tendencies and then she went full fledged yandere.
In hindsight maybe she was just revealing more and more of herself and an accident happened
