The Adventurer’s Guild building was disappointingly smaller than even the village hall, but the buzz and energy I felt upon entering far exceeded my expectations.
People sitting around tables, laughing as they recounted tales of valor; adventurers gathered in front of the bulletin board, deliberating and discussing with their companions.
Amid the clamor, receptionists greeted people with kind smiles, while others lined up waiting their turn—there was barely any room to step inside.
Oh… this is impressive.
The liveliness was something I couldn’t have predicted from the outside.
As I stood dumbly at the entrance, a few older men glanced my way and burst into loud laughter.
“How long do you think that kid’ll last?”
“Not even a day. He’s orc bait straight off the bat.”
“Hahaha. Don’t tease him. A man’s gotta dream big.”
It was amusing to see them openly trash-talking me like that.
Oddly, it didn’t bother me. Probably because something good happened as soon as I arrived in Dry Village.
Right now, I could let most things slide with a generous laugh.
To get some explanations, I headed toward the receptionist with the shortest line.
The queue wasn’t shrinking anytime soon, and I soon saw why: the newbie receptionist was so inexperienced that she was busy apologizing to every customer.
“W-what can I help you with?”
By the time it was my turn, the newbie receptionist was even breathing heavily.
Waiting was worth it. She had a pure, innocent face, large mounds noticeable even over her uniform, and neat shoulder-length hair that suited her perfectly—a real beauty.
“I’d like to register as an adventurer.”
“N-new… I mean, new adventurers, please fill out your name and class here.”
…Did she just bite her tongue?
I take the paper and fill it out as instructed. Thanks to the goddess’s proxy effect, even unfamiliar characters felt as natural and easy to use as the language of my homeland.
Since proxies of the goddess are sent to various worlds, this kind of ability must be essential.
“But what’s this ‘class’ thing here?”
“It refers to class names like mage, swordsman, or thief. Could I take a look at what skills you have?”
“Sure, go ahead.”
It’s just Fire Arrow anyway.
“Wow! You can use fire magic! I think you can write ‘mage’ here.”
It didn’t seem like a big deal, but her warm reaction was endearing. I didn’t mind it. I’ll be coming here often from now on.
More importantly, this receptionist has big bre6sts.
“Don’t I get some kind of certification? Like an ID?”
“Oh, you mean an adventurer’s li—license! The adventurer’s license is issued after you complete your first mission. It takes about two days to process.”
“Hmm.”
No wonder registration felt so easy.
They only acknowledge you after you’ve proven yourself with results.
“Are there any perks for sticking around as an adventurer for a long time?”
“Your co-contribution… I mean, contribution to the guild increases based on the difficulty and number of missions you complete, and your rank goes up accordingly.”
…This girl’s face is getting redder every time she stumbles over her words.
She’s not going to overheat and explode, is she?
“Tell me about the ranks.”
“Yes, ranks start at Bronze. As you build achievements, they go up to Silver, Gold, and Diamond. Most adventurers in the guild stay at Bronze or Silver. Reaching Gold gets you housing support and a monthly pension.”
Oh… Aiming for a high rank as an adventurer doesn’t sound bad.
Wandering around is fine, but having my own house would be reassuring.
“What about Diamond rank? What perks does that come with? You didn’t explain.”
Suddenly, the area around me goes quiet.
What’s this? These intense stares. A moment later, the atmosphere returns to normal.
“D-Diamond rank… it’s a special rank bestowed by the king himself to those who resolve massive calamities,” the receptionist says cautiously.
I see. It’s not a rank a mere adventurer can aim for.
No need to hear about the perks. I’d consider being a calamity myself, but fighting one? Pass.
What if I ran into another goddess’s proxy in this world?
Forget them—I’d end up on another god’s bad side.
The key is to play casually in a manageable sandbox. Achieving some grand feat that affects the world sounds exhausting just thinking about it.
Next, I ask about how to take on missions.
“There are various missions on the bulletin board. They’re ranked from D to S based on difficulty. Tell us which mission you want, and we’ll process it for you. There’s a deadline, and you just need to complete the objective within that time.”
Nothing too complicated.
If they ask for herbs, you gather herbs. If they want something hunted, you hunt it.
In a world with monsters, hunting missions are probably the norm. People’s lives likely revolve around that too.
I’ve heard enough explanations.
“Thanks. You explained it kindly.”
“Sorry, I’m still inexperienced…”
“You spoke clearly at the end without stuttering, didn’t you? You’ll get the hang of it.”
“T-thank you!”
The big-bre6sted receptionist bows repeatedly, expressing her gratitude with her whole body.
I consider taking a mission right away, but when I come to my senses, I notice the sunset outside the window.
Guess I’ll call it a day and find a place to sleep. As a modern person, sleeping outdoors is too harsh for me.
I don’t have money, but I prepared for this—I pulled a bunch of goblin teeth!
Selling materials to earn cash—basic stuff, right?
I walk into one of the many cluttered general stores and dump the goblin teeth onto the counter.
“These are goblin teeth. How much can you give me for them?”
“Gah! You lunatic! Guards! Guards!”
***
I get chased out. …This isn’t right, is it?
Apparently, collecting parts of monster corpses is considered crazy.
I quickly slip away from the gathering crowd drawn by the commotion.
Oh well, it’s an experience.
Guess I’ll have to use hypnosis.
I start searching for a rundown inn with few people. Why? Because there’s a limit to how many people I can hypnotize at once.
My signature gesture and hypnosis trigger—finger snaps and claps—work by “focusing the target’s attention” as the activation condition.
The requirements are the gesture and sound, but since they’re pretty similar, I trained myself to use finger snaps for inducing hypnosis and claps for waking them from a trance, to avoid confusion.
In other words, a noisy place full of people chatting and ignoring me is the worst for me.
I can hypnotize someone right in front of me, but everyone else would see what I’m doing.
Unless it’s absolutely necessary, I should avoid those situations.
While wandering, I spot an inn tucked away in an alley that fits my ideal perfectly.
“Only flies buzzing around” couldn’t describe it better.
The wooden floor and tables are barely cleaned, and there’s a weird smell. I wouldn’t feel the slightest guilt using hypnosis to eat and stay for free here.
If anything, wouldn’t eating their food give me a stomachache?
“What are you doing! A customer’s here—take their order already!”
“W-welcome!”
A shout comes from inside, and a woman with blue hair approaches with a timid expression.
“Is something wrong?”
“Oh, it’s nothing. He’s just had a bit too much to drink.”
Hmm… Great, an uncomfortable story I didn’t ask for.
But I’m glad I came to this inn. The wife is quite pretty. Even under her baggy clothes, her well-developed h!ps and melons catch my eye.
Her outfit is old and shabby, but her skin glows, and her hair and nails are meticulously groomed.
The inn’s lack of cleanliness seems entirely due to her husband’s antics.
“Um… sir?”
She looks scared as I silently stare at her.
“Give me the tastiest thing you’ve got. Two servings.”
My stomach, which has only had water today, growls for solid food.
“Yes!”
I pull a starlight clam from my inventory and examine it.
What’s this even for? An accessory? No way—picturing Beleira wearing something this cute on her head is unimaginable.
“Your order’s here.”
Let’s see.
The dish looks like a soup made with white fish. I scoop a spoonful and sniff it—no fishy smell, just a pleasant aroma.
I didn’t expect much, but it’s pretty tasty.
“I’d like to stay the night. Got a room?”
After finishing my meal, I head to the counter, where a weathered-looking man steps up and says,
“Use the third room on the second floor. With the food you just ate, that’ll be 35 silver.”
Snap.
I snap my fingers.
“Innkeeper, I’ve already paid. You’re obligated to offer your w!fe for a night to lodging guests.”
“Obligated… to offer.”
“Your w!fe always does her best to satisfy the guest s9xually. That’s your joy.”
“…Yes.”
Clap!
I clap my hands to break the trance and take the key.
“Sir, if you’d like, I’ll send my wife up.”
“Send her up? What do you mean?”
I feign ignorance.
“My wife’s premium snatch is part of our Water and Grass Inn’s lodging service.”
The blue-haired married woman flinches, hesitating shyly.
“Premium, huh? Can’t pass that up. Send her up right away.”
“Yes, sir.”
I head up to the second floor. The creaky floor doesn’t inspire much hope, but the room is decently clean.
There’s no plush bed, just an old room faintly lit by a single candle, but it gives off a real otherworldly vibe.
Living in my always-tidy room back home made this feel refreshing.
Still, I can’t sleep in places like this forever. Starting tomorrow, I’ll need to figure out where to stay long-term.
As I sit on the bed waiting, a knock soon comes.
“Um, adventurer sir? May I come in?”
“Come in.”
She must’ve just washed—her hair’s still damp.
She approaches with quiet steps, dressed in a thin, sheer fabric that reveals everything, clearly prepared to serve a man.
“I’m Anais, here to provide you with… s-snatch service tonight.”
Anais bows politely as she introduces herself.

why censor words in an ero novel?
Bcos I don’t have any a-d-s on the site, and I want to earn through patreon. I don’t ommit anything, I just use ulternative words, which should be easy to understand. I hope you understand.
that doesn’t make sense, the only reason to censor words would be either SEO or the ads system rules. i’d guess SEO isn’t that important as there is novelupdates and you have no ads, so why censor ???
I have advanced chapters in the Patreon. It requires me to censor some words. And I don’t change things that much. I have to earn somehow. Running the site costs money, and I use my time and effort to translate.
