Chapter 159: First Steps into the Martial Arts Club

I listened to the teacher’s self-introduction, and as names were called one after another, I honestly thought it was ridiculous and ended up lying on my desk and falling asleep.

Just as I drifted off, I heard someone in the hall—could have been the professor, the expert, or the old teacher—shout angrily. I didn’t catch what was said clearly, but it definitely scared me awake.

Damn! Lu Sen, Hao Shuai, and Diao Sinan actually had class in the morning too, but it was these three idiots being late that got the teacher—maybe the homeroom teacher or something—so mad.

The classroom was huge, and since I didn’t feel like talking to anyone, I sat in the back few rows. After Hao Shuai and the others endured their scolding with their heads down, they moved over to sit near me.

“Boss, isn’t this fate?” Lu Sen patted my shoulder and whispered.

“Fate, your sister!” I snapped, shaking my head, and told them, “I need to sleep for a bit. If you need anything, just call me.”

With that, I yawned and lay my head back on the desk to sleep.

Normally, since I’d leveled up, I should have been full of energy, but my recent uses of the Purple-Gold Enchanting Eyes had consumed a lot of my mental power, so I could only recharge by sleeping.

“Boss, boss! Wake up!” While I was sleeping soundly, Lu Sen’s voice suddenly rang in my ear.

A bit groggy, I opened my eyes and asked, “What’s up?”

“It’s your turn!” Lu Sen said anxiously.

I was taken aback for a moment. “What turn is mine?”

“That student, are you feeling unwell?” the teacher asked me.

I quickly stood up, scratching my head, “No! No!”

“Then please introduce yourself!” The young teacher deliberately emphasized the word “please” as if showing off—really, was that necessary?

“My name is Xia Tian, male, fond of girls, eighteen years old, unmarried, and I hope the female students will pay more attention to me…” I said coolly, looking at the teacher. If you’re going to show off, I’ll show off too—let’s see who does it better.

Some people in the class burst out laughing at my words, but then Qin Mengdie’s voice reached my ears: “Frivolous!”

That little lady just couldn’t let me have even a bit of goodwill towards her!

The teacher’s brows twitched, then he asked, “Tell us about your dreams at Shenghua.”

“‘All the goddesses of the world gather at Shenghua.’ I’m here to pick up girls!” I laughed and said. As if recalling something, I continued, “Also, to get a bachelor’s degree so it’s easier to find a job.”

The teacher’s face looked unusually sour, but he still put on airs, “Although this student speaks a bit lightly, he is telling the truth. Very good! Please sit down!”

This teacher really cared about his face, but he wasn’t wrong—everything I said was true. However, as for picking up girls, forget it. Having Mei’er, my little girl, is just enough.

Frankly, all that talk about studying in university and contributing to the country is nonsense; aside from the early days after the founding of the country, most patriotic folks are long gone. Nowadays, most who study abroad probably won’t come back anyway.

As soon as I sat down, Lu Sen stood up.

“My name is Lu Sen, eighteen years old, male, with the same hobbies as the boss and the same goals as the boss…” Lu Sen looked at me with a cheeky grin. Damn it, this guy makes me want to slap him.

“My name is Hao Shuai…” Hao Shuai stood up, and as soon as he spoke, the girls in the class shrieked like hungry wolves. Damn, why wasn’t there such a scene when I got up?

Although Hao Shuai’s name sounded pretentious, I have to admit he was 100% handsome, even if he did look a bit effeminate.

Then Diao Sinan timidly said, “I—I’m Diao Sinan, seventeen years old…”

I thought that would cause a burst of laughter, but instead a group of fuj0shi suddenly yelled, “Such a cute little boy! You’re Sister’s boy!”

“To hell with you, such a cute little boy is obviously mine!”

“What are you even saying! This little boy is mine!”

Ladies; can we not do this? There’s a super handsome guy here, d*mn it! In this day and age, do girls have no taste anymore?

I yawned and lay back on my desk to sleep again—I was really tired.

When I woke up once more, it was Lu Sen who called me. I stretched lazily; it seems using the Purple-Gold Enchanting Eyes leaves some significant side effects!

Just as I was about to leave with Lu Sen and the others, my phone rang.

“Hello, who is this?” I asked weakly.

On the other end came Yang Xue’s voice, “Xia Tian, I’m your senior Yang Xue. Do you have class today? If not, come over to the Martial Arts Club!”

“I just finished class and have some time, so I’ll come over!” I replied with a smile.

Yang Xue sounded excited, “I’ll be here with all the members of the Martial Arts Club to welcome you!”

“Truly honored. I’ll be there right away. Goodbye!” I said as I hung up, then looked at Lu Sen and the others, “I need to go to the club; you guys head back!”

“Alright!” Lu Sen shook his head helplessly, and he left with Hao Shuai and the others.

“Hey, senior, can you tell me where the Martial Arts Club is?” I asked another senior. After fumbling around for a while, I still couldn’t find where the Martial Arts Club was. This is so frustrating.

“You want to go to the Martial Arts Club?!” The senior turned his head, looking at me in surprise.

I was stunned for a moment and laughed, “Yes!”

“Sigh…” the man sighed, then patted my shoulder and said, “Head east, and when you get to that area, ask around again, and you’ll find the Martial Arts Club!”

“Sigh, so young, choosing the Martial Arts Club. I hope you can make it back alive!” The senior looked at me with pity, then turned and left.

Uh… why did I feel a chill down my spine after that senior said those words?

Continuing east, I reached a group of buildings and saw a handsome guy holding flowers ahead. I quickly asked, “Handsome, do you know where the Martial Arts Club is?”

The handsome guy turned his head. His smiling face instantly turned sour when he saw it was me, “Is that you?”

“It turns out to be Senior Lin,” I was a bit stunned, then smiled at Lin Youchen.

Unexpectedly, this person turned out to be Lin Youchen.

Lin Youchen was momentarily taken aback, then smiled and said, “I’m also headed to the Martial Arts Club, so I’ll take you there!”

“Thank you, Senior Lin!” I smiled, though in my heart I thought this Lin Youchen was probably a very scheming person. Last time, I deliberately opposed him—and even if it wasn’t obvious, he must have noticed. I didn’t expect him to be so calm now.

Following Lin Youchen, we circled around a few times and finally arrived at the Martial Arts Club.

“Open the door!” Lin Youchen said with a smile.

Without any hesitation, I opened the door. The sign above clearly read “Martial Arts Club,” so it couldn’t be one of Lin Youchen’s tricks—after all, he didn’t know I was coming today.

As soon as I opened the door, I heard a loud shout, “All members of the Martial Arts Club, welcome junior Xia Tian to join the Martial Arts Club!”

It was so impressive! But didn’t they say they’d all welcome me? So why… why are there only four people?
