Chapter 10: A Village’s Plea for Help

Tian Fan looked at Li Yunyang with confusion. 

At this moment, Li Yunyang had a serious expression on his face, completely different from his usual demeanor. 

Tian Fan didn’t know what this usually carefree man intended by stopping everyone.

“What’s the matter, Brother Li? Is there something wrong?” one of the disciples asked. 

Li Yunyang held considerable authority among them.

“Junior brothers, please stop for a moment and listen to me!”

Li Yunyang paused, then said solemnly, “I don’t know how you all ended up here, but since we are all living here together, this place can be considered our home. Since it is our home, as members of this home, we should do our best to defend its dignity!”

The group of disciples listened quietly without saying a word.

“Think about it, although the Great Sealing Sect’s Sect Master has never demanded anything from us, that doesn’t mean we can be lazy and neglect our cultivation. Our junior sister is younger than most of us here, but her cultivation level surpasses everyone else’s. The biennial Four Sects Martial Arts Competition is approaching soon. Are we going to finish last again and be ridiculed by others?”

“Our junior sister works so hard for the Great Sealing Sect; as men, are we really going to let a woman outdo us? The Great Sealing Sect doesn’t belong to the junior sister or the Sect Master alone; it belongs to all of us. It’s our home, and we can’t leave the defense of its dignity entirely to the junior sister. We are all part of this home, so we must protect it together!”

After hearing his words, not only were the disciples stunned, but even Tian Fan was taken aback. He never expected this guy to say something like that. 

The entire martial arts field was silent until a voice finally broke the stillness: “Brother Li is right, the Great Sealing Sect belongs to all of us; it’s our home.”

“Yes, this is our home!”

“We must defend our home’s dignity!”

“We can’t leave all the responsibility to the junior sister alone!”

“We need to work hard in our cultivation, and this time, we will show everyone the might of the Great Sealing Sect!”

One shout after another echoed as everyone became excited, itching to get to work immediately.

“Alright, from now on, we will work hard on our cultivation. There’s still some time before the Four Sects Martial Arts Competition, so let’s all strive to make breakthroughs during this period and demonstrate the might of the Great Sealing Sect!” Li Yunyang shouted loudly, looking at everyone and hearing their rallying cries.

“Work hard on our cultivation and show the might of the Great Sealing Sect!”

Everyone shouted and then began to seriously immerse themselves in cultivation. One junior brother wiped the tomato juice off his hand and punched the wooden stake in front of him with a “bang.” Another brother licked the “bloodstain” at the corner of his mouth, sat down cross-legged, and began cultivating. 

In an instant, all the disciples were frantically focused on their cultivation.

Seeing them like this, even Tian Fan was influenced, joining them in calming down to cultivate. 

At that moment, the woman in yellow unexpectedly returned. When she saw the intense cultivation atmosphere, she was momentarily stunned. How could this energy feel different from before?

However, she didn’t think much about it and directly pulled Li Yunyang aside, saying, “Brother Li, something has happened.”

Li Yunyang and Tian Fan were cultivating. 

Upon hearing her words, Li Yunyang stood up and asked, “What’s the matter, junior sister, that has you running over here so urgently?”

“Well, something ominous happened in a small village at the foot of our mountain. Several people have died, and some villagers have come up the mountain to seek help.”

“What? Such a thing happened?”

Indeed, there was a small village below the Great Sealing Sect, home to nearly a hundred families who lived off farming. The villagers were very honest and often brought small gifts to the Great Sealing Sect. Hearing about such an event, Li Yunyang was a bit anxious.

“Mm, Grandfather has already instructed me to take a few people to investigate.”

After the Sect Master of the Great Sealing Sect learned about the situation, he first comforted the elderly villager who had come to seek help. Then he immediately instructed his granddaughter to take a few people to accompany the old man back to the village to investigate, considering it a small training exercise. So she quickly came here to ask Li Yunyang to join her.

“Alright, let’s go then. Oh, and Brother Fan, you should come along too.”

After listening to her, Li Yunyang instructed everyone to continue their cultivation and then called Tian Fan to join them. 

The three of them made their way down the mountain, where an elderly man was already waiting. When he saw the three approaching, he immediately stepped forward to greet them.
