Chapter 118: Shangguan Yuntian

The moment this figure appeared, the world instantly brightened.

A divine five-colored radiance descended from the heavens, swirling around the white-robed figure.

This was a middle-aged man—thick-browed, broad-eyed, with a towering stature and a face as sharp as a blade. His extraordinary presence made him the kind of person who would stand out among tens of thousands. An overwhelming aura, unique to a peerless powerhouse, emanated from him.

“Who dares touch my daughter?!”

The man’s roar was like a thunderclap exploding across the sky. His cold gaze swept over the three figures before him, leaving no doubt about his status as an unrivaled expert.

“Who are you?” The black-robed elder asked warily, his expression grave.

“Shangguan Yuntian!” The silver-haired elder—the former sect master of the Yin-Yang Sect—gasped, a chill running down his spine.

Though Shangguan Yuntian was technically his junior, his cultivation far surpassed his own. In his time, he had dominated the world, leaving none capable of standing against him.

Even the Ghost Immortal, who had also reached the Immortal Ascension Realm, paled at the sight of him. He never expected Shangguan Yuntian to appear here.

On the Divine Martial Continent, no one above the Primordial Unity Realm was ignorant of his name. He was the symbol of invincibility, hailed as the continent’s undefeated legend.

“Shangguan Yuntian…”

Far away, behind a small ridge, the current Yin-Yang Sect Master wore an expression of sheer terror. Just moments ago, he had boasted about disregarding Shangguan Yuntian, but now, face-to-face with him, he realized how foolish he had been. He felt that even a single breath from this man could annihilate him tens of thousands of times over.

Tian Fan stared unblinkingly at the white-robed figure ahead. Though he had yet to witness his true power, the sheer pressure of his aura alone spoke volumes about Shangguan Yuntian’s might.

“My precious daughter, what happened? Who dared bully you? I’ll skin them alive!” Shangguan Yuntian turned, gently patting Zi Ying’s little head with tender affection in his eyes.

“They won’t let me take Little Tian Tian away…” Zi Ying’s eyes welled up with tears as she tugged at Shangguan Yuntian’s sleeve, putting on a pitiful act that made Tian Fan shudder—this little girl’s tricks never failed.

“Don’t cry, my treasure. We’ll leave right now. Let’s see who dares stop us!” Shangguan Yuntian hurriedly soothed her, his words shocking to hear. After all, standing before them were three supreme experts of the Immortal Ascension Realm, yet he didn’t even spare them a glance.

“You must be Tian Fan?” Shangguan Yuntian looked up, his eyes gleaming with divine light. “As expected—extraordinary. A true young hero!”

“Greetings, Senior!” Tian Fan quickly stepped forward, bowing respectfully.

“Rise, no need for formalities. If anything, I should be thanking you.” Shangguan Yuntian nodded slightly, the overwhelming pressure from earlier now gone, making him seem like an ordinary middle-aged man.

“Halt! Shangguan Yuntian, do you intend to monopolize the divine treasure?!” The white-haired elder stepped forward, his voice icy. “Even if you’re the Shangguan Family’s patriarch, you can’t do this!”

“That’s right! The Shangguan Family may be powerful, but this is unacceptable!” The former Yin-Yang Sect Master also stepped up, standing beside the white-haired elder. The Ghost Immortal chuckled darkly, stomped the ground, and leaped forward to join them.

“You vile old men! My father isn’t like you at all!” Zi Ying fumed, her face red with anger. The little girl couldn’t tolerate anyone speaking ill of her loved ones.

Shangguan Yuntian snorted. “What I do is my own business. If I say I’m taking him away, then I will.”

The former Yin-Yang Sect Master’s eyes flickered as he exchanged glances with the black-robed elder. They could sense Shangguan Yuntian’s overwhelming strength, but with three of them here, they believed they stood a chance. If they could obtain that treasure, nothing on the Divine Martial Continent would be beyond their reach.

The temptation of the ancient divine runes was too great. The Ghost Immortal and his allies refused to let the treasure slip away, resolved to keep Tian Fan—even if it meant facing the undefeated legend himself.

“Heh, you’re just a manifestation. You can’t stop the three of us!” The Ghost Immortal sneered, advancing alongside the black-robed elder and the former Yin-Yang Sect Master.

“It’s been a long time since I last fought. Don’t force my hand.” Shangguan Yuntian’s voice was low, his gaze calm yet piercing. Even as a mere projection, his presence made their hearts tremble.

“Then let’s battle!” The Ghost Immortal roared, transforming into a streak of dark light as he charged. Simultaneously, the former Yin-Yang Sect Master and the black-robed elder blurred into afterimages, lunging at Shangguan Yuntian. They knew that unless they destroyed this manifestation, they could never take Tian Fan.

“Wait here.” Shangguan Yuntian smiled at the two before turning to face his opponents. “We fight beyond the heavens!”

Whoosh—

Whoosh—

Whoosh—

Three streaks of light shot into the highest reaches of the sky.

The Ghost Immortal cast a sinister glance back at Tian Fan before vanishing, ascending toward the celestial battlefield.

“What’s wrong with me?”

Recalling those eerie green eyes, Tian Fan shuddered. That ominous feeling surged in his chest again, making his heart ache.

Boom—!

An explosion erupted in the sky, sending shockwaves rippling through the world. Boundless divine energy flooded the heavens and earth as four overwhelming auras clashed in the depths of the firmament. Anyone foolish enough to enter that space would be instantly obliterated—yet this was merely the aftermath of their battle.

The former Yin-Yang Sect Master formed hand seals as the Yin-Yang Sword hovered above him, unleashing two brilliant beams—one black, one white. The beams merged midair, forming a colossal Yin-Yang Hand Seal. Its divine might instantly spread across a thousand miles, shattering the surrounding void.

The Ghost Immortal cackled eerily, his entire body boiling with dark energy. A black skull floated above his head, emitting a sinister hum. A bone-chilling aura radiated from it, freezing even the tempestuous astral winds into ice crystals—a terrifying phenomenon, considering these winds could shred even Primordial Unity experts with ease.

The black-robed elder’s transformation was the most shocking. Once appearing as an ordinary, unassuming old man, he now revealed his true edge. With a roar, his body erupted with dazzling light as he wrenched an entire distant mountain from the earth and hurled it like a mere stone.

The three powerhouses attacked Shangguan Yuntian simultaneously, their combined assault earth-shaking. The very fabric of space shattered, not even allowing the chaotic flows of time to escape.

“Hmph!”

Shangguan Yuntian’s cold snort carried the weight of his title as the Divine Martial Continent’s undefeated legend. Even as a mere projection, an endless torrent of power surged from him. A golden energy barrier materialized around him, effortlessly deflecting all three attacks.

“I’ll say it one last time—don’t force me to act.”

With one hand behind his back, Shangguan Yuntian’s voice was icy, his oppressive aura causing the three experts to stagger…
