Chapter 151: Beauty, Please Have Some Decorum

“Still looking? Move aside already!” Tang Shuyao covered her ch*st and shouted at me.

Qin Mengdie also crossed her arms over her chest, while only Xu Xin remained relatively calm. She simply picked up the bags and headed upstairs.

“I think pink doesn’t really suit you,” I said seriously to Tang Shuyao.

Hearing my words, Tang Shuyao stomped her foot angrily. “Ah! Stinky Xia Tian!”

I paused, raised my arm to my nose, sniffed, and then chuckled. “No way, I smell pretty good.”

I was starting to regret changing my clothes so soon. If I had known, I should’ve shown up shirtless in front of them and made them take responsibility instead.

Seeing Tang Shuyao looking so flustered, I laughed and said, “Alright, I was just kidding. Go change quickly, or you’ll catch a cold!”

After saying that, I turned and walked toward the sofa.

Tang Shuyao and Qin Mengdie headed upstairs, but Qin Mengdie, that girl, had such a unique personality. She actually stopped beside me and said, “Pervert!”

“Hey! It was just a joke, don’t overreact!” I called after her, but she completely ignored me. Hmph, such a princess attitude.

Once they were all upstairs, Wang Ziyan walked over to me, making my heart skip a beat. I quickly said, “I’m going to my room!” and turned to leave.

But Wang Ziyan was incredibly fast and blocked my way. “Why were you in my room just now?”

“Uh… well… I…” I stalled, trying to come up with a good excuse.

Unexpectedly, Wang Ziyan suddenly asked, “Do you like me?”

“What nonsense are you talking about!” I snapped.

Wang Ziyan smiled. “Then why did you run into my room and even press d)wn on me?”

Damn! Beauty, could you please watch your wording? I was just standing close to you, not pressing down on you! You’re misleading people!

“If you want me, anytime is fine. You’ll take responsibility, right?” Wang Ziyan’s gaze was seductive, sending chills down my spine. What was this girl up to? I’m still a v!rgin; I can’t handle this kind of teasing!

And she wasn’t done yet. Wang Ziyan stepped closer, forcing me back. I swallowed hard and tried to remain calm. “Beauty, please have some decorum!”

The moment I said that, Sister Lin’s voice rang out. “What are you two doing?”

For the first time, I found Sister Lin’s voice so pleasant. I hurried over to her, smiling. “Sis, you’re finally here!”

Sister Lin looked at me with a puzzled expression. She waved a hand and asked, “Have you seen Mei’er? I remember she came back with you, but now she’s gone.”

“Mei’er? She wasn’t feeling well, so she’s resting in my room,” I replied smoothly, having already prepared an answer in advance.

But as soon as Wang Ziyan heard that, she panicked. “What?! A girl is lying in your room? No way! Absolutely not!” She turned and marched toward my room.

I frowned and quickly blocked her path. Looking at her seriously, I said in a low voice, “What do you think you’re doing?”

Mei’er’s body was still weak, and it would take a long time to expel the remaining True Qi from her system. Right now, I couldn’t let Wang Ziyan go in.

Wang Ziyan was momentarily stunned by my firm tone, but then she regained her composure and said, “Why are you being so aggressive?”

“You’re my fiancé!” She puffed up again.

“Sorry, that’s just your wishful thinking,” I said bluntly.

Almost losing Mei’er this time made me realize something—I only liked Mei’er. Sure, I had some fondness for Xu Xin and Wang Ziyan, but the one who mattered most to me was Mei’er.

Tears welled up in Wang Ziyan’s eyes. “If you don’t like me, then why were you pressing down on me earlier?”

“What?! Xia Tian, you actually…” Sister Lin, who had been standing nearby, looked at me in shock.

Afraid of any misunderstandings, I hurriedly explained, “Sister Lin, listen to me—”

“And what about what happened in the interrogation room? Have you forgotten that too?” Wang Ziyan interrupted before I could finish.

Damn it! Nothing even happened back then!

“Sorry, Miss Wang Ziyan, but nothing happened between us. And what I said back then was only to save you, nothing more. Got it?” I looked at her, feeling a bit helpless.

Wang Ziyan stared at me bitterly. “You’re really this heartless?”

“Miss Wang Ziyan, I think there’s been a misunderstanding between us…” It was best to cut things off now before they got any more complicated. Wang Ziyan was a good girl, but she wasn’t my type. Dragging this out would only end badly.

“Fine…” Wang Ziyan wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes and said, “Whether you like me or not is your business, but whether I pursue you or not is mine. Let’s not interfere with each other.”

This girl was so stubborn! Also, didn’t she just say she was pursuing me? How was that supposed to mean ‘not interfering’?!

After saying that, Wang Ziyan suddenly smiled. “It’s getting late. I’ll go cook something and show you all my skills!” She turned and left.

Sister Lin walked up to me, watching me closely. “Xia Tian… you know, Ziyan is actually a good girl.”

“I know.” I sighed. “But I already have Mei’er.”

“As expected of my good little brother, Xia Tian! Keep it up!” Sister Lin clenched her fist encouragingly, then asked, “Mei’er is really just feeling unwell?”

“Yeah, she took some medicine, so she should be feeling better now.” I smiled at her.

Just as I finished speaking, Mei’er suddenly came bouncing out of my room, grinning. “Sister Mengxin!”

“This is what you call ‘feeling unwell’?” Sister Lin raised an eyebrow at me playfully.

It should have taken at least three days and nights for Mei’er to fully regulate her True Qi. How had she recovered so fast?

Looking at her rosy complexion, without a hint of weakness, she didn’t seem like someone who had just suffered a serious injury. What was going on?

Noticing my confusion, Mei’er smiled at Sister Lin and said, “Yes, I caught a little cold earlier, but after taking some medicine, I feel much better now!”

I secretly gave Mei’er a thumbs-up, though my mind was still preoccupied with her sudden recovery.

At that moment, Wang Ziyan passed by carrying some vegetables. Mei’er spotted her and smiled. “Hello, Xia Tian’s fiancée!”

Wang Ziyan paused before smiling back. “Hello, Xia Tian’s… girlfriend.”

“Ziyan, are you going to cook?” Sister Lin asked.

Wang Ziyan nodded. “Yep!”

“I’ll help you!” Sister Lin offered enthusiastically.

Oh no! Letting Sister Lin cook?! Dear heavens, please don’t make me relive those painful memories!
