Ever since Zhou Feng dropped out, there hadn’t been a single word from him.
The voice sounded a lot like Zhou Feng’s, but it carried a colder tone. Probably not him, right?
Besides, it had only been a few months since he left—there’s no way he could’ve made it far enough to negotiate with Zhao Gao. I was probably just overthinking it.
I picked up the things and headed toward Sister Lin and the others. Who would’ve thought that they’d be the ones walking toward me instead?
What can I say—I’m just too popular. As soon as these girls saw me carrying so much, they rushed over to greet me. Sigh…
“Xia Tian, we’re not going to the Summer Palace today!” Sister Lin said excitedly, then turned and started walking toward the apartment.
Xu Xin smiled too. “Yeah, looks like we really can’t go today.” Then she followed Sister Lin without another word.
This was great news. That meant only Mei’er and I were left. These girls were really sharp—knew how to make room for a little time alone between me and Mei’er.
“Xia Tian, time to go back!” Mei’er took my hand and, like Sister Lin and Xu Xin, started heading back.
I paused and asked in confusion, “Why? Weren’t we going to the Summer Palace?”
“Big Sis Mengxin said we’re not going today!” Mei’er replied with a smile.
“If she’s not going, that’s her business. What’s it got to do with us?” I was even more confused now. Didn’t Mei’er want to spend time alone with me? From her reaction, it didn’t seem that way.
Seeing my expression, Mei’er explained with a smile, “Yaoyao just called. She heard we were going out today, so she’s decided to come back this afternoon and join us.”
“You mean Tang Shuyao?” I asked, a little uncertain.
Mei’er nodded. “Yep, Yaoyao!”
How did this suddenly involve that brat Tang Shuyao again?
“So, we’re really not going to the Summer Palace?” I asked Mei’er, still unwilling to give up.
Mei’er looked a little helpless. “Honestly, I wanted to go too, but wouldn’t it be even more fun with Yaoyao and Mengdie joining us?”
“…Fine.” On the surface, I put on a look of helplessness, but deep down, I was already cursing Tang Shuyao from head to toe. The girl wasn’t even here and still managed to ruin my moment!
Mei’er and I walked hand in hand down the road. Even though we couldn’t go to the Summer Palace, Xu Xin and Sister Lin had gone back ahead of us. So, we still had our time alone.
“Oh right, Mei’er—since I’ve already unlocked my Ren and Du meridians, does that mean I can fly now?” I suddenly remembered. Mei’er once told me that when I reached Three-Tails strength—late-stage Starwhirl—I’d be able to fly. The thought made me a bit excited.
Mei’er blinked in surprise. “You’ve already unlocked your Ren and Du meridians?”
I used to be super frustrated about not being able to break through those meridians. I often complained about it to Mei’er, so it made sense that she’d be surprised to hear I’d done it.
“Yep! Don’t believe me? Watch!” I suddenly released my True Qi, boosting my aura to its peak.
Right now, I was technically at late-stage Starwhirl, but in reality, I’d already stepped into the half-step Lunar Reflection realm. Once I fully mastered the third level of my technique, I’d be ready to move on to the fourth level of the Nine Revolutions of Heaven and Earth. With that refinement, I was confident I could break through to early-stage Moonshadow.
“That’s definitely the aura of a Three-Tailed Spirit Fox. Xia Tian, how did you figure out how to unlock the Ren and Du meridians?” Mei’er asked curiously after nodding.
I sighed, my mind drifting back to when Mei’er risked her life to draw out the excess True Qi from my body. She nearly vanished into thin air because of that.
My expression turned a bit awkward as I said, “It was that time I almost exploded from the overload of True Qi. When you absorbed it into your body, it reversed the flow of Qi and forcefully unlocked my meridians.”
“So you’re saying, it’s thanks to me that you managed to unlock them!” Mei’er said playfully with a grin.
I chuckled. “Yep. It’s all thanks to my amazing Mei’er!”
“Then how are you going to repay me?” Mei’er asked with a dreamy look, like she was really expecting a reward.
I pulled her into my arms and leaned down. “Like this…” I whispered, then pressed my lips against hers.
A simple k!ss wasn’t enough to satisfy a passionate—uh, I mean handsome—man like me.
I gently sucked on Mei’er’s soft lips, k!ssing her again and again.
Suddenly, I realized how clumsy I was. All those k!ssing tips I looked up online were completely gone from my mind.
Even without any technique, I started to lose myself in the moment. After all, this time there were no interruptions. Sister Lin should’ve been back at the apartment by now, right?
Wait, why was I even thinking about Lin Mengxin at such a crucial moment?! I couldn’t stand that girl!
At first, Mei’er was a little flustered—understandably, since I’d taken her by surprise. Actually… now that I thought about it, every time I k!ssed Mei’er, it had been a sneak attack.
But this time, she closed her eyes and stopped resisting. Like me, she slowly sank into the moment.
What started as gentle sucking slowly turned into soft nibbling.
As expected, all those so-called strategy guides were nonsense—real experience was what truly mattered!
There was plenty of theoretical material out there. None of it was domestic, sure, but I’d seen enough to be considered well-versed. Still, I had no idea what the real deal would feel like.
While Mei’er was distracted, I stuck out my tongue, gently parting her lips and pressing against her teeth, hoping to get even closer.
This time, Mei’er didn’t resist. Just like that, my tongue slipped into her mouth.
My tongue wrapped around hers, tangling together. Mei’er seemed unsure how to respond. I wasn’t exactly skilled either, but with time, she gradually found my rhythm, and the k!ss grew deeper and deeper.
I licked her fragrant tongue and teeth, slowly getting lost in the moment.
“Mm…” Mei’er let out a soft m0an, turning her face to the side. Her voice trembled as she said, “Xia Tian, you… you again…”
“Don’t say anything…” I sighed, abruptly turning around and punching Little Xia Tian.
D*mn it! Always embarrassing me at the worst possible times!
“You wanna act up, huh? I’ll teach you to misbehave!” I cursed while dishing out a good beating to Little Xia Tian. I was truly pissed off this time!
But… d*mn it! That hurt like hell!
“X-Xia Tian, w-what are you doing?” Mei’er’s voice came from behind me.
I forced a smile through the pain and said, “Nothing!”
“Um… Mei’er, can you teach me how to fly now?” I looked at her seriously. Flying was something I’d always dreamed of. Sure, I was a little afraid of heights, but the thought of freedom was even more tempting.
“Okay, I’ll teach you now,” Mei’er said, her expression serious. The blush on her face had slowly faded.
“Is that so?” I spread my arms and stood with my legs apart. Following Mei’er’s instructions, I began circulating my True Qi.
Mei’er nodded. “You can try lifting off the ground now.”
“Alright!” I took a deep breath, poured all my strength into it, and slowly, my feet began to rise off the ground. I was a bit wobbly, but hey—I was airborne! My heart was bursting with excitement.
One meter…
Two meters…
Ten meters!
I was more than ten meters off the ground. Who said flying was hard the first time? This was easy!
With the excitement building, everything started to feel effortless. I could even manage simple movements now. Getting a little carried away, I suddenly sped up and took off through the sky.
“I can fly!” I shouted, soaring back and forth in the air!
But people do stupid things when they’re too hyped… especially when showing off.
And wouldn’t you know it…
I crashed straight into a utility pole!
What the hell?! Who the heck put a pole right there?!
Stars exploded in my vision, and my body lost all balance, plummeting back toward the ground.
