Chapter 33: Facing Chu Yunxuan

Yin Shitian and the man in embroidered clothes wore expressions of extreme displeasure. The embroidered-clothed man bellowed at Tian Fan:

“Brat, how dare you destroy the four flying swords of our Yin-Yang Sect! The sect master won’t spare you!”

“Are you all insane? You came here to seek trouble, got injured, and now you’re throwing a tantrum. Honestly, I don’t understand where you get your shamelessness from!”

Tian Fan’s words made the embroidered-clothed man feel utterly embarrassed. Each word hit its mark, exposing the truth. No one had ever humiliated them like this before.

“This guy is really something!”

Zi Ying grinned as she looked at Tian Fan, her bright eyes twinkling.

“Let’s go, Xiao Fan. No point wasting time with this garbage.”

Li Yunyang stepped forward, urging Tian Fan to leave.

“Wait.”

Just as Tian Fan was about to leave, a man standing beside Yin Shitian spoke in a calm voice. Tian Fan turned to face him. The man had a firm face, wore a black warrior’s robe, and carried an unusual blade on his back. He looked at Tian Fan and said quietly:

“Inflicting injuries and destroying swords—don’t you think that’s excessive?”

Tian Fan studied the man carefully and sensed that he was no ordinary person.

“If they had killed me, I doubt you would’ve said a word.”

Although he didn’t state it outright, his meaning was clear: You simply can’t stand seeing others stronger than you. You’re only angry because your sect bullies others but ended up getting beaten instead. You have no shame.

“Your words are meaningless. Since you injured members of my Yin-Yang Sect, you’re not leaving here easily today!”

The man in black strode forward, his presence overwhelming. Seeing him approach, Yin Shitian and the embroidered-clothed man both looked shocked and then directed cruel glares at Tian Fan. Another man standing beside Yin Shitian, however, remained silent the entire time, showing no reaction.

“You may be strong, but keeping me here won’t be easy.”

Tian Fan spoke confidently as he looked at the man in black.

“It’s unwise to be so arrogant. I, Chu Yunxuan, never let anyone leave once I decide to make them stay.”

Chu Yunxuan remained calm, unaffected by Tian Fan’s words.

“What? You… you’re Chu Yunxuan!”

Hearing the name, Sun Yueying’s expression changed drastically. She exclaimed:

“You’ve already reached the Cloud Heaven stage. Isn’t this a bit too much?”

At these words, Li Yunyang’s face also darkened. The gap between the Condensing Spirit stage and Cloud Heaven stage was simply too vast.

“That’s none of my concern. Your junior brother was too arrogant, and he needs to be taught a lesson.”

Chu Yunxuan spoke indifferently, as if Tian Fan wasn’t worth his attention. After a moment’s thought, he continued:

“Here’s the deal: I won’t kill you, but you must kneel and apologize to my junior brothers and then break both of your arms. How about that?”

“Oh, how generous of you, Young Master Chu!”

Tian Fan’s expression remained cold as he stepped forward.

“Good. It seems you’ve chosen to apologize. Hurry up—we’re on a tight schedule.”

“So, Chu Yunxuan, have you considered the consequences of challenging me? You might regret it later.”

Tian Fan sneered, approaching Chu Yunxuan step by step, causing Sun Yueying and Li Yunyang’s faces to turn pale.

“If you seek death, don’t blame me. I gave you a chance!”

Chu Yunxuan smirked disdainfully as Tian Fan advanced.

“I have to commend your courage—it takes a lot of guts to challenge me.”

He looked down at Tian Fan from his superior position. In his eyes, Tian Fan was insignificant. Even though Tian Fan had destroyed four flying swords, Chu Yunxuan still regarded him with contempt. To him, Tian Fan was merely at the peak of the Condensing Spirit stage, far beneath someone at his level.

“Enough chatter!”

Tian Fan roared and charged forward, his right fist clenched. A silver glow enveloped his entire fist, tearing through the air with a sound like a roaring tsunami.

“Hmph.”

Chu Yunxuan snorted and struck out with a fist of his own, strong and powerful. Their fists collided, and Tian Fan was blasted backward, sliding five steps away. Chu Yunxuan, however, didn’t move an inch. After all, the strength of someone at the Cloud Heaven stage was not to be underestimated.

“Hmm? You’re not injured?”

Chu Yunxuan was surprised to see Tian Fan clenching his fists again, unscathed. Even though Chu Yunxuan had only used sixty percent of his strength, it should have been enough to severely injure a Condensing Spirit cultivator. Yet Tian Fan seemed perfectly fine.

“You think you can hurt me? Keep dreaming! Maybe if your sect master came, it’d be possible!”

Tian Fan scoffed. The Divine Celestial Heart Sutra he cultivated was truly extraordinary, making his body extremely resilient, surpassing even that of the undead clan. On top of that, he had absorbed the essence of a golden divine dragon from the Enchanted Forest, further enhancing his physical strength.

His current body was comparable to that of a cultivator at the early stage of Cloud Heaven. The only thing holding him back was the gap between the Condensing Spirit and Cloud Heaven stages. Once he broke through to Cloud Heaven, his physical prowess would rival those in the legendary Primordial Realm.

Moreover, he had an uncanny feeling that his physique seemed tailor-made for the Divine Celestial Heart Sutra. The technique ran through his body effortlessly, requiring no conscious effort on his part.

“Is that so? Then let’s see if I can injure you!”

Chu Yunxuan’s tone remained calm as his aura surged, stirring the wind. He raised a large hand and swung it towards Tian Fan’s face with eighty percent of his strength.

Yet Tian Fan remained unfazed, countering with another punch, rising against the incoming force. His fist crashed into Chu Yunxuan’s palm with a resounding bang…

Tian Fan was once again forced back, but Chu Yunxuan was also pushed away. His hand felt slightly numb, and a sense of dread towards Tian Fan’s physical strength grew within him. It was unimaginable that someone relying solely on a body at the Spirit Condensation stage could withstand an attack from the Cloud Heaven stage.

“This… Chu Yunxuan was actually forced back? How is that possible? He’s at the Cloud Heaven stage, while Tian Fan is only at the peak of Spirit Condensation! How could this be?”

Yin Shitian’s face was filled with shock as he murmured to himself.

“So, you’re confident in your physical strength. In that case, I’ll suppress you with pure power!”

Chu Yunxuan’s expression changed slightly, looking somewhat displeased. As a Cloud Heaven realm cultivator, being forced back by someone at the Spirit Condensation stage was a blow to his pride. His body burst with a surge of red light as he pushed his Yin-Yang Art to its limits. A Yin-Yang Eight Trigrams diagram appeared in front of him, resembling the one Yin Shitian had created with his Yin-Yang Sword, though the aura was similar, the power was much weaker.

Half black, half white, the Yin-Yang diagram before Chu Yunxuan spun gently, releasing strands of Yin-Yang energy.

“Die!”

With a push from Chu Yunxuan, the diagram’s rotation doubled in speed and hurtled toward Tian Fan.

Tian Fan’s expression became solemn as he quickly formed hand seals. A Five Elements Barrier activated, projecting a massive silver energy shield in front of him.

The Yin-Yang diagram collided with the Five Elements diagram, producing a deafening roar. When the smoke cleared, a massive crater appeared in the ground. Tian Fan’s face was slightly pale, as the clash had stirred his internal energy, causing some blood to seep from his mouth. However, he had not sustained any severe injuries. Chu Yunxuan’s face showed surprise—he couldn’t believe Tian Fan was still alive after that.

“Wow! Little Tian is so tough! He’s fine even after that!”

“Thump!”

“Ow, Sister Ying! You’ll make me dumb if you keep hitting me like that!”

Zi Ying raised her head, covering her forehead with her hand, looking aggrieved as she stared at Sun Yueying. Even Li Yunyang gave Zi Ying a helpless look, feeling that she almost wanted Tian Fan to suffer a serious injury.

“I underestimated you. To think you could block my Yin-Yang diagram… I must commend you again. But your luck ends here!”

Chu Yunxuan snorted coldly, stomping fiercely on the ground as he charged toward Tian Fan.

“Would you die if you stopped being so arrogant?”

Tian Fan sneered and rushed forward without hesitation.

There was no time for words—the battle erupted again. Red light danced in the air, and silver brilliance filled the sky. Chu Yunxuan activated the Yin-Yang Art, with countless red talismans circling around him, exuding a grand aura.

Tian Fan remained unafraid. Silver light flowed around him as four Five Elements diagrams rotated rapidly a meter in front of him. A silver lotus bloomed beneath his feet, following his movements, its petals fluttering around him. At the same time, his eyes gleamed with golden light as his technique, *Heart’s Desire Without Traces*, operated at full speed. Streams of mental power swirled around him, launching subtle attacks at Chu Yunxuan.

“Wow! Little Tian’s magic is so pretty—it looks like something from a fantasy!”

Zi Ying’s eyes sparkled with excitement as she gazed at the dazzling scene. Even Sun Yueying was mesmerized; Tian Fan’s attacks were so elegant they resembled a magic show.

“Hmph, not bad. Really, not bad at all.”

Chu Yunxuan’s face was pale, and he looked disheveled under Tian Fan’s onslaught. It enraged him—he, a Cloud Heaven cultivator, had been pushed to this point by someone at the Spirit Condensation stage!

“You’ve forced my hand, kid. My divine blade hasn’t tasted blood in a long time!”

Chu Yunxuan snorted coldly, his expression turning grim. If word got out that a Spirit Condensation cultivator had fought him this long without being defeated, other experts at his level would mock him for his incompetence.

With a swift motion, he pulled a long blade from his back, the black glow of demonic energy swirling around it. As soon as the blade appeared, Chu Yunxuan’s aura doubled in intensity. Under everyone’s stunned gazes, he slowly rose into the sky, gazing down coldly.

The primary difference between cultivators at the Cloud Heaven stage and those at the Spirit Condensation stage was that the former could truly soar through the heavens on their own power.

“No one has ever survived beneath my blade. The fact that you forced me to this point is something you can be proud of. Don’t resent your fate—blame yourself for provoking someone you shouldn’t have!”

Chu Yunxuan gripped the blade with both hands. Red light shot into the sky as he pushed his Yin-Yang Art to its limits, filling the air with an overwhelming, suffocating presence.

Sun Yueying and the others went pale—this strike was far beyond what someone at the Spirit Condensation stage could withstand. Yin Shitian and the man in embroidered robes beamed with joy as they looked at Tian Fan as if he were already a corpse. The man next to Yin Shitian, however, furrowed his brows slightly.

“Dominating Blade Annihilation!”

With a cold shout, Chu Yunxuan descended from the sky, slashing at Tian Fan with overwhelming force.

Facing the unstoppable blade, Tian Fan remained calm. His lips curled into a subtle smile, like a cunning little fox. At the same time, Yin-Yang energy swirled around him, and a magnificent sword appeared in his right hand. With a swift strike, he swung his sword toward the incoming Chu Yunxuan.

“Ah!”

A scream escaped Chu Yunxuan’s mouth as Tian Fan’s Five Elements Sword Technique unleashed a powerful Yin-Yang sword aura—far stronger than the one Yin Shitian had used. The sword aura tore through Chu Yunxuan’s Dominating Blade Annihilation, bypassed his defenses, and struck his chest directly. His robes shredded, and his chest was left a bloody mess as blood spurted wildly from his mouth.

Crack…

At the same time, Tian Fan swung his sword again. Chu Yunxuan’s dominating blade shattered in mid-air, disappearing completely from the world.
