A subspace filled with gold and a yellow dragon guarding it.
Artia, also known as the Golden Dragon, had the power to gather all the gold and silver treasures in the world. She began walking with light, measured steps.
“Isn’t it spreading too much, Emperor?” she asked.
“It has been over 10 years since the last award.”
“10 years? That’s shorter than I expected!”
However, Artia had a miserly personality. Without her restraint, the Empire could have faced severe inflation due to the rampant scattering of gold. In a way, this was fortunate for the Empire, although it made things difficult for the emperor, who intended to plunder Artia’s treasure trove and distribute it among the two of us.
“Artia, can I really trust you this time?” the emperor asked.
“Heh, do you think I’ll be deceived by such a silly reason? I am not so easily fooled.”
“The two share the same talents as the first emperor.”
“… Like Reinhardt?”
At the mention of that name, Artia’s golden eyes sparkled intensely. Her gaze fell upon the two of us, her eyes—golden orbs capable of perceiving the truth of all things—penetrating deeply.
“Hmm… I’m not certain about this one.”
Then, she shifted her gaze toward Noah. Upon seeing her, Artia’s eyes widened, and her expression turned astonished.
“That’s right. You are the great hero of this era.”
“Huh? Hero? Me?” Noah stammered, baffled.
“It seems you haven’t fully awakened yet. No matter, he was the same.”
Disregarding Noah’s confusion, Artia turned to the emperor and nodded.
“I will acknowledge one of them. As for the other…”
“Well, it’s hard to say, but this one handles summons better.”
“Better with summons? That one has no talent at all. I suspect he’s destined to summon a mere 1-star summon at best.”
Hearing those words, I glanced at Artia skeptically. Was she implying that summoning was purely a matter of chance? It was almost as if she had read my thoughts because she smirked and said, “If he manages to summon a 2-star, I might reconsider my judgment.”
“Artia, will you take back those words once the time comes?” the emperor asked, his tone firm.
“Of course not.” Artia tilted her head, seemingly intrigued by the emperor’s confidence. Her demeanor suggested an unshakable belief in her own infallibility.
“Ian, prove it,” the emperor commanded.
“Your Majesty, but…” I hesitated but raised a gloved hand to indicate my readiness.
Seeing this, Artia waved her hand dismissively, motioning for me to remove the glove.
“Let there be no disturbances. Impress her.”
“… Understood.” I extended my hand and summoned Anna.
Wings of light spread wide as the angel revealed herself, her appearance radiant. Artia’s expression froze as she observed the summon.
“… Did you possess an exceptional heirloom? Even so, this summon—”
“Theresia.” I summoned yet another.
Artia’s astonishment grew, her expression now frozen in disbelief.

“All right! I’ll repeat myself: one per person. Do not take more than that!” Artia exclaimed as she pushed open the massive doors of the treasure trove. Her hands trembled slightly, betraying her earlier composure.
The door swung open to reveal a room brimming with heirlooms and finely crafted treasures. The sight was overwhelming.
“Wow…” Noah’s eyes sparkled as she scanned the ceremonial dresses and heirlooms. She took her time deciding what to pick.
I, too, took in the grandeur of the Imperial Treasury. Its splendor truly matched its reputation.
‘Unbelievable,’ I thought, comparing it to the collection of the Duke of Eritz. Despite his immense wealth and influence as ruler of the southern territories, his treasures paled in comparison to this.
‘This must be Artia’s ability,’ I realized. Her skill, Treasure Collection, had turned into a reality. While it was merely a game mechanic before, capable of increasing drop rates, it now seemed like an extraordinary power that recovered lost relics from across the land, sea, and battlefields.
As I browsed the room, my eyes landed on an heirloom linked to a 4-star summon.
‘This is it,’ I thought, reaching for it. Yet, as my hand hovered near, I paused and turned to the item beside it.
‘… What’s this?’
It was the insignia of the saintess—Anna’s ceremonial dress.
‘Why is this here…?’
I hesitated, torn between the heirloom and the ceremonial dress. In a game, I would have chosen the 4-star heirloom without a second thought. The ceremonial dress would be used eventually, but having a powerful summon was essential.
But now, in reality, the rules had shifted. The number of summons weren’t as critical as they were in the game.
‘In a game, I’d run around to gather all the 4-star summons I could collect,’ I mused. But here, in the absence of party size restrictions, just a few well-chosen 3-star and 4-star summons would suffice.
