Chapter 56: Dream VII (part 1)

Crik–tak–krrk–

The inside of the cabin where Cain and Bianca lived together.

Currently, Cain was lying on the bed, sound asleep, while Bianca stared at the roaring flames in the fireplace in the corner of the cabin.

She was in a state of worry.

It was because she feared that if the flames weakened or went out, Cain might feel the cold while he slept, or worse, wake up.

Of course, it was possible to use magic to adjust the temperature inside the cabin, but Bianca thought that using magic in this intimate setting would ruin the atmosphere.

After all, according to the romance novels she had read, newly married couples overcame small hardships together and deepened their bond over time.

That was why Bianca felt inwardly troubled, wondering if the fire might weaken, leaving Cain cold.

Seeing a young lady—who had likely never lifted anything heavier than a teaspoon—holding several sticks and tossing them one by one into the fireplace was a strange sight.

But Bianca was completely serious.

It felt good…

The simple act of doing something for Cain brought her joy.

In that moment, she realized something new: doing things for someone you love, instead of yourself, gave a unique sense of pride and satisfaction.

She felt happy.

This kind of fulfillment had eluded her, even when she learned magic or when she defeated the Witch of Winter after an intense battle.

A warm feeling bloomed in her heart, one she had thought was cold and hardened. She realized that this must be what it felt like to love someone.

“…Whoo.”

Rustle—

She quietly approached Cain, who lay deeply asleep, the sound of her clothes faintly brushing as she moved.

He appeared to be in such a deep sleep that even if someone carried him away, he wouldn’t notice.

It wasn’t surprising, though. He had only just regained consciousness after three days of unconsciousness. Even though resting quietly in bed was ideal, he had insisted on walking around the cabin. Eventually, his strength had given out, and now he had collapsed into a sleep so deep it seemed like unconsciousness.

“…Mmm.”

At that moment, Cain groaned softly, as if disturbed by a nightmare or discomfort. He rolled to his right side, his face now directly facing Bianca, who stood beside the bed.

Of course, Cain’s eyes remained closed—he wasn’t aware of her presence.

“…Cain.”

But for Bianca, this proximity took on a different meaning. Staring at his peaceful face stirred memories of everything they had shared that day.

“…It was good. Yes, it was really good.”

Indeed, it had been a wonderful day. They had walked arm in arm, strolled through the garden, and even shared k!sses.

Did he know? When their lips had met, her mind had gone blank, as if she had become an idiot. It was as if an electric current had surged through her brain, leaving her stunned.

People often said that first love never lasted. First love, they claimed, always ended in disappointment, leaving behind only bittersweet memories. But Bianca couldn’t agree.

At that moment, she felt overwhelming happiness. She was so happy that it made her question whether someone like her deserved such joy.

Swoosh—

Bianca carefully raised her right hand and gently caressed Cain’s cheek. His skin held a lingering warmth, perhaps from the fire.

Her choice felt right.

Abandoning everything to be with him had been the correct decision. In this secluded place, free from the world’s interruptions, the dream of spending a lifetime with him didn’t feel impossible.

She even imagined having children who resembled him, spending joyful days together. The thought made her heart race, as if a strange switch had flipped on in her mind.

“…Heh.”

Bianca carefully studied Cain’s sleeping face again. His closed eyes, calm and serene, looked cuter than she had expected.

“…Cain, you’ve made a mistake. Yes, showing me that expression was your mistake…”

With a playful smile, Bianca began to cast a spell. The magic wasn’t harmful—it was just a sleep-inducing spell, designed to deepen his slumber so that no amount of disturbance would wake him. There was no way she could use harmful magic on Cain.

“Well then…”

Her fingers began to move slowly, starting at his cheek. She stroked it gently, letting her fingers trail lightly across his l!ps, down to his c0llarbone, and eventually to his firm chest.

“…Ah.”

An excited sigh escaped her lips before she could stop it. She had no intention of crossing the line, but since she had already resolved to give herself to him completely, she reasoned that it was better to prepare for what lay ahead. Or so she told herself, using it as an excuse.

“Cain, I love you.”

Bianca whispered those words softly into his ear as she climbed ont0 his b0dy.

The night was still long—endlessly long.

The Shop section on Patreon can be used as a way to make a one-time-payment. I will be creating products in the Shop section with the title of the webnovels. It will only have an image as the product, but it will count as the payment for the Sponsored Chapters.

For example: You will buy the product with the title “Flower Stealing Master” to sponsor a chapter for the novel. As far as I know, you can buy the same product multiple times, so you should be able to sponsor as many chapters you want. I hope it was easy to understand.
