Over the past month, living with a woman named Bianca had taught me a lot about who she was.
To be precise, it wasn’t that I had uncovered the identity of Bianca, but rather that I had figured out much about her as a person.
First of all, she was terrible at cooking.
She was so bad that even if she merely baked bread, it would quickly turn into a lump of charcoal, and even if she boiled soup, it would burn black. It was clear to anyone that Bianca lacked the ability to cook.
Whenever she spoiled a dish, her excuses were always the same.
“Actually, I can cook with magic, but I just don’t bother.”
Thanks to that, I had no choice but to take on the task of cooking in the cabin. It was the only way to avoid starving.
After I finished preparing the meals, we sat around the table and ate together.
The conversations between us during meals were always insignificant, just the trivialities of the day.
Even though we only exchanged such small stories, Bianca’s face always shone brightly, as if this was all she had ever wanted.
Bianca also loved holding hands with me.
When we took walks around the cabin, she would run up to me and grasp my hand tightly, resembling a large dog following its owner. Yet, her playful manner was cute, and I found it endearing.
She also loved k!ssing me.
From the day I first woke up and k!ssed her, it became a habit we indulged in from time to time. There was one quirk she didn’t even seem to notice: whenever we k!ssed, she would instinctively stick out her t0ngue toward me.
In one way, her behavior was innocent and charming; in another, it felt as though she was a v!rgin unfamiliar with men. Either way, she seemed incredibly lovable. Because of this habit, every k!ss inevitably became a deeper exchange.
Yet, despite her eagerness, I never thought she was lu*stful.
The look in her eyes toward me always conveyed pure affection and love. She didn’t just like me—she loved me deeply, with a devotion that knew no bounds.
In truth, I couldn’t hate her love.
No—claiming otherwise would be a lie.
I was an ordinary man, after all. Having a beautiful woman like Bianca shower me with unwavering affection was more than enough to stir feelings in me.
Thus, our relationship steadily grew closer. In a way, it was only natural. It would have been stranger if nothing happened between two young people living under the same roof, especially when one was brimming with affection for the other.
However, I couldn’t allow myself to fully open my heart to her.
Deep down, I knew that I wasn’t here by choice. Bianca had confined me under the guise of providing “mental and physical stability.”
She seemed terrified of leaving the cabin, as if the outside world held something frightening.
Even so, I couldn’t stop my heart from being drawn to her.
Perhaps Bianca was right—maybe we had been in love before I lost my memories. It was a thought I shouldn’t have entertained, but the idea of staying with her, living quietly in this cabin, didn’t seem like such a bad one.
But it wasn’t that simple.
Every time I considered forgetting about the outside world to stay here with Bianca, a sharp headache would strike me. It felt as if the lost memories in the back of my mind were acting as the last barrier, keeping me from surrendering to the peace of this secluded life.
Over the past month, I hadn’t just shared meals and affection with Bianca. I had also worked hard to uncover the truth behind my situation by observing everything around me and gauging Bianca’s responses to my questions.
There was no need to force my forgotten memories to return. Just by carefully examining the present circumstances, I could piece together the bigger picture.
“Cain!”
It was then that the cabin window swung open, and a woman leaned inside, calling out to me in a loud voice.
“It’s time to eat! Come in quickly before the food gets cold!”
The thought of what strange concoction she had made—given her inability to even bake bread properly—crossed my mind. Despite being a mage who could command respect anywhere outside, Bianca seemed more like an ordinary country girl, fretting over meals in this secluded cabin.
“…Now that I think about it, it’s already been a month since I ended up here.”
A full month had passed since I had been drawn into her little world. It seemed that the time to confront everything was drawing near.
With that thought, I sighed and made my way toward the quaint cabin I shared with Bianca. Knowing her, the food would likely need to be redone from scratch.

In the northeast of the continent lay a vast forest known as the Great Forest.
It was a place straight out of a fairy tale, where traces of demons and fairies—companions of the elves—could be found with ease.
Towering trees, rarely seen elsewhere on the continent, thrived in this ancient woodland.
At the heart of the Great Forest stood a colossal world tree, said to have protected the world since the dawn of creation.
Sponsor Chapters at the Patreon Shop: Along with BuymeaCoffee where you can now make payments in your local currency, the Shop section on Patreon can be used as a way to make a one-time-payment. I will be creating products in the Shop section with the title of the webnovels. It will only have an image as the product, but it will count as the payment for the Sponsored Chapters.
For example: You will buy the product with the title “Flower Stealing Master” to sponsor a chapter for the novel. As far as I know, you can buy the same product multiple times, so you should be able to sponsor as many chapters you want. I hope it was easy to understand.
