Chapter 61: Dream XII (part 1)

“Do you understand the situation now? I don’t particularly feel like helping you find Bianca del Castana’s whereabouts. Besides, Bianca del Castana and I are bound by an oath, so I can’t assist directly.”

After saying this, Kyrie averted her gaze from Iris, turning away as if issuing a celebratory command.

“…..”

Iris merely stared at Kyrie, who was directing the guests to celebrate, remaining silent.

Observing the situation, it became clear that this eccentric elf had no intention of cooperating in locating Cain.

Begging the elf in this scenario would only wound her pride, yielding no favorable results.

But even so, she couldn’t simply nod at Kyrie’s words and walk away.

This was the only lead she had, one gathered through efforts that included contacting the Marquis of Castana and Duke of Estel, as well as traveling across nearly half of the northern territories.

‘Should I force him to talk?’

Iris weighed her chances in a swordfight against this ancient, undying monster.

‘…Desperate. Would I have to strike with enough force to succeed?’

Objectively, Iris was strong. While she may have been less powerful than she would be ten years later, in terms of sheer “strength,” she ranked among the top five on the continent.

But her opponent was formidable, and even more so here.

Kyrie, too, held a power among the top five and bore no disadvantages due to regression.

Unlike Iris, Bianca, and Ariel, who had returned to a time ten years past with untrained bodies from that era,

Kyrie’s strength had been refined for centuries. Furthermore, they were in the elves’ domain, with the World Tree—a divine tree bestowing blessings on elves—nearby, giving Kyrie an even greater advantage.

Winning a decisive victory against her seemed nearly impossible.

‘…Do I really have to retreat after coming all this way?’

No matter how she considered it, drawing her sword against Kyrie would have been reckless, almost an act of desperation.

It was humiliating, but at this point, retreat seemed the only option.

Just then, however, Aria, who had been silently listening, stepped forward.

“Lady Kyrie. I’m sorry, but may I say something?”

“…Go ahead. You have the right,” Kyrie replied with an unexpectedly polite nod.

Iris, though she kept her expression steady, was inwardly astonished.

Kyrie, who generally disliked humans, was rarely this courteous toward anyone.

“Lady Kyrie, you just mentioned that you and Young Lord Cain share a bond, indicating that you’re inseparable.”

“…Yes. I did say that to Iris.”

“It’s difficult to believe, but if you and Young Lord Cain truly share that kind of connection, shouldn’t we be more proactive in this situation? Bianca del Castana forcibly abducted Cain, disregarding his will, relying solely on her power. Wouldn’t it be irresponsible for someone claiming rightful bond with him to sit idly by and not act at a time like this?”

Aria’s words were firm, her gaze toward Kyrie unwavering and proud. Her stance made it clear she stood on moral grounds.

Iris thought that Aria’s straightforwardness spoke volumes about her character.

Yet, Aria’s logic seemed overly optimistic.

Kyrie regarded Cain as her possession, even suggesting the absurdity of “loaning” him to another woman. How could anyone break the resolve of such an obstinate person with a few persuasive words?

“Certainly, that does make sense. Very well. I’ll cooperate with you this time.”

“…What?”

That was until Kyrie nodded calmly in response to Aria’s reasoning.

“…Hey, Kyrie. Are you agreeing with Aria’s words?”

“Hmm, it seems you’ve lost your hearing, with nothing but a strong body as your talent. Where do you see me disagreeing with her?” Kyrie replied, feigning innocence.

“…Then why did you refuse when I asked for help just now?”

Iris’s eyes flared with fury, unbothered by Kyrie’s nonchalant response.

“That’s because, Iris, I didn’t feel like offering you that level of assistance. And, why should I respect a savage brute like you, perfectly suited to roaming the jungle?”

Iris’s forehead veins pulsed in anger. She felt a strong urge to tear out that d*mn elf’s tongue, but she restrained herself with superhuman patience.

“…Can you even break the oath you made with Bianca del Castana?” she asked, masking her emotions in a blunt tone, though her aura betrayed her inner frustration.

“Don’t worry. I’m not telling you Bianca del Castana’s exact location. I’m merely providing a way for you to locate her.” With that, Kyrie strode toward the World Tree, breaking off a small branch from its base and handing it to Aria.

“This is a branch from the World Tree. When combined with mana, it allows one to pinpoint a specific person’s location. At this size, it can only be used once, but…”

Kyrie gazed at Aria, who was staring intently at the branch, with a gentle, almost affectionate look.

“One chance should be more than enough, don’t you think? After all, there won’t be two people pursuing you.”

“…But is it acceptable to break a branch from the World Tree so freely? Isn’t it the elves’ most sacred tree?”

Get More Chapters on Patreon: From now on, FSM Level 2 will become the CN WN Bundle. The price will remain the same which is $10. Also, the price for the KR WN Bundle will also be decreased to $10 to match this bundle.

With this I have gotten rid of the level system. The reason I am doing this, is because I plan to add more chapters to the $5 Patron tiers. Currently the readers get 2 advance chapters when they become a $5 Patron, but I want to increase the chapters they get to at least 5 chapters and more. So the current updated tier system will work like this:

The Individual Tiers ($5) will give you access to 5 chapters or more.

The Bundle Tiers ($10) will give you access to all the chapters of CN or KR webnovels.

The Supreme Patron ($30) will give you access to all the webnovel chapters on Goblinslate.
