Chapter 65: Bianca del Castana II (part 1

Bianca opened her eyes.

Darkness still enveloped the room.

She rolled her eyes and scanned her surroundings.

Beside her, Cain slept soundly.

Watching his peaceful face, Bianca tried to lift herself slightly, but the sharp pain in her lower abdomen made her wince.

‘…Ah, come to think of it…’

Memories of last night flooded her mind…

After lying beside him, their b0dies had come together. It was her first time, and while it brought some pain, the pleasure far outweighed it.

No, it wasn’t just pleasure—it was joy.

For a woman, nothing could be more fulfilling than making love with the man she adored.

“…Ah, well…”

Gritting her teeth, Bianca slowly raised herself despite the lingering discomfort.

As the blanket slipped from her b0dy, her bare form was exposed in the dimly lit cabin. However, she felt no shame. After all, only hours ago, she had shared everything with Cain. What reason was there to feel embarrassed now?

Her gaze shifted to the bed, where clear bloodstains marked the sheets. Seeing them brought an odd sense of satisfaction.

Those stains were proof that Bianca del Castana had given her first to Cain von Estel.

Wrapping herself roughly in the torn dress Cain had removed the night before, Bianca stepped out of the cabin.

The night sky stretched above her, its moon and stars shining brighter than she had ever seen. Though it was the same sky as before, it now seemed utterly transformed.

The change wasn’t in the stars, but in her heart.

Not long ago, Bianca had harbored a deep disdain for the world. Yet, the intimacy she had shared with Cain had softened that bitterness.

Of course, thirty years of pain and resentment couldn’t vanish overnight, but a shift had undeniably begun. For the first time, Bianca allowed herself to consider that this might truly be love. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, embracing the unfamiliar feeling.

Then, her senses flared.

“…What?”

A presence—a bold, unwelcome intrusion—disturbed the barrier she had erected to create a sanctuary for herself and Cain.

No, it wasn’t just one intruder!

Concentrating, she identified two distinct presences.

Their auras were formidable, powerful enough to warrant Bianca’s full attention. Few individuals on the continent possessed such strength, and only three could have followed Cain and her to this secluded spot.

“Saintess Ariel Thiers and Princess Iris el Devhart,” Bianca murmured, narrowing her eyes.

For a moment, she had considered Kyrie el Denaris, but quickly dismissed the thought.

Kyrie was bound by oaths sworn to the World Tree, including one to keep each other’s whereabouts secret. Her presence here was all but impossible.

“Still, those women are impressive,” Bianca muttered wryly. She had kept Cain in such a hidden location, yet here they were, chasing him down with reckless determination.

“…Now, how should I deal with these uninvited guests?”

Ordinarily, Bianca would have confronted intruders without hesitation. But these were no ordinary foes.

Ariel and Iris were powerful adversaries, both in status and personal might. The fact that these two, who could barely stand each other, had joined forces to pursue her and Cain was unsettling.

A cold dread settled over Bianca as she realized she might not survive the night.

A ferocious roar suddenly shattered the silence, vibrating through the barrier.

“…An invitation,” Bianca muttered.

The roar was unmistakably a challenge, daring her to come forward rather than hide like a coward.

With a sneer, Bianca strode toward the source of the disturbance. If they were going to provoke her, she wouldn’t hesitate to strike first.

Protecting Cain—even if it meant taking the fight to her enemies—was a duty she embraced without complaint.

Crossing the meadow in front of the cabin, she reached the fractured edge of the barrier. The space there rippled like shattered glass, and a menacing figure loomed just beyond.

“…What?”

Bianca’s breath caught as her eyes fell on the figure.

It wasn’t Ariel or Iris as she had anticipated. Instead, a girl with striking silver hair and piercing purple eyes stared back at her.

“…the witch?” Bianca whispered, her voice laced with disbelief.
