Chapter 66: Bianca del Castana III (part 2)

Bianca appeared refreshed, a truly benevolent smile gracing her lips.

“He and I are already entwined. I can’t share the details since it’s a secret only the two of us know, but we’ve seen everything of each other. The time I spent with him was both breathtaking and ecstatic.”

At Bianca’s words, Aria’s face turned deathly pale, as though all the blood had drained from it.

“Do you know what it’s like? The breadth of his chest, how warm I felt when he held me tight, and the joy of becoming one with him.”

“…Then…”

“Well, it’s a feeling a lowly woman like you could never comprehend. Cain is the heir to one of the only four ducal houses in the empire. For the sake of his dignity, he could never associate with a woman of unknown origins like you.”

She smirked, her tone dripping with superiority.

“Perhaps he might play with a toy once, but Cain isn’t that kind of man. His personality is too sincere—he’s the type who feels compelled to take responsibility. It’s far more likely he wouldn’t even glance your way to begin with.”

Bianca let out a theatrical sigh, as though she genuinely pitied Aria.

“It’s unfortunate for you. No matter how much you throw yourself at him, he will never embrace you.”

Her words rang with cruel certainty, each one twisting like a dagger into Aria’s heart.

And yet, they carried an air of truth that deepened her misery.

Aria had always known. From the very beginning, she had been painfully aware that any connection between her and Cain von Estel, the man she served, was impossible.

Cain was a noble of the highest order, destined to inherit the Estel dukedom, while she was but a lowly girl with no memories of her origins.

Love that transcended social status was a fantasy confined to children’s stories.

Still, she couldn’t abandon her feelings for him. She wanted to help him, to devote herself to him, and at the end of it all, to earn his love in return. But these desires were buried deep in her heart, hidden even from herself. She knew better than anyone that such dreams could never come true.

And so, it hurt.

It burned.

The bitter truth that she and Cain could never be together was a torment she couldn’t escape.

Meanwhile, Bianca del Castana—who had casually claimed what Aria could only long for—stood before her, mocking her openly.

Aria hated Bianca for it, despised her for seeing through her carefully hidden emotions and using them as weapons of ridicule.

“Well, that’s that. You’re Cain’s exclusive maid, aren’t you? Once I marry Cain, I might become your mistress. Perhaps you should start practicing your honorifics now?”

Bianca’s laugh was light and airy, but to Aria, it was unbearable. Her head lowered, her trembling hands clenched tightly. She had endured and endured, but her patience had reached its limit.

“…Stop.”

“Yes?”

Aria’s voice was so soft that Bianca tilted her head in confusion.

“If you’re going to say something, speak up properly…”

“…Lies.”

It was then that Aria’s face, which had been lowered, shot up to glare at Bianca. Her expression twisted with ferocious anger.

“Lies, lies, lies! Bianca del Castana, everything you say is a lie!”

Her shriek reverberated through the room, sharp and unrelenting.

“It can’t be! It’s impossible! The idea that Young Lord Cain would fall for a deranged woman like you—it’s absurd!”

Aria took a step closer, her words gaining momentum.

“What did you do to him? You must have used some vile, underhanded trick to cloud his reason, didn’t you?”

Bianca flinched, her composure faltering.

Aria caught it instantly, her eyes alight with triumph.

“Yes, that’s it! You tampered with Young Lord Cain’s memory, didn’t you? Just like you did with me. You manipulated him, played with his mind!”

Bianca froze, unable to refute the accusation. The truth of Aria’s words was undeniable—she had indeed meddled with Cain’s memory.

Seeing Bianca’s reaction, Aria’s confidence soared. Her voice grew louder, dripping with disdain.

“It’s pathetic. Absolutely revolting. Bianca del Castana, should I recount what you’ve done? You’re nothing but a manipulative fraud, erasing memories and pretending to be someone’s lover. How utterly ridiculous!”

The tables had turned. Bianca, who moments ago had been full of scorn, now stood silent, glaring at Aria with hatred in her eyes.

Seizing the moment, Aria delivered her final blow.

“Let me make this clear, Bianca del Castana. You’re nothing but a disgusting, deranged woman. A grotesque joke. Someone like you will never be worthy of standing beside Young Lord Cain.”
