Chapter 67: The Disappearance of Immortals and Divines

A radiant golden light hovered above Tian Fan’s head, exuding majesty and dominance. Though it was just a single character, it felt as though a divine king had been resurrected. The overwhelming authority and power it emanated made all living beings within a hundred-mile radius tremble.

“Heavens, what is this disturbance?”

From a distance, powerful cultivators sensed the energy fluctuations and exclaimed in shock.

A shadowy demon roared, shaking the skies as a rain of deathly black light poured down. Each drop shattered the void and fractured the earth.

“D*mned them!”

Standing a hundred feet away, Zi Ying frowned, her delicate brows furrowing as she voiced her dissatisfaction. Holding Xiao Hua, she leapt into the distant skies.

Boom!

Terrifying energy erupted repeatedly. Tian Fan’s body was drenched in crimson bl00d, his injuries severe. Yet, he laughed, flashing his snow-white teeth.

“Ah…”

Across from him, Wu Biheng screamed miserably. The dark demonic realm had been completely shattered, and the shadowy figure wearing a crown before him was annihilated in an instant.

Wu Biheng himself suffered a terrifying impact. In a mere moment, his body was pierced through with seven or eight bl00died holes from the divine light radiating from the ancient character above Tian Fan’s head.

Wu Biheng’s once-mighty figure, now drenched in bl00d, fell backward with disheveled hair. His deep-set eyes were filled with anger and a trace of fear as he was sent flying by the devastating energy.

“Nether Moon!”

He roared, once again unleashing this peerless technique to confront Tian Fan.

Tian Fan sneered coldly, stepping forward with divine speed. He left an afterimage in place as he charged, unafraid of the demonic moon suspended above Wu Biheng’s head.

Wu Biheng’s violet-gold armor emitted divine light, golden wings appearing on its surface as he retreated at high speed. Yet, despite his efforts, Tian Fan caught up to him. The Divine Cloud Step Tian Fan used was unparalleled, hailed as the swiftest in the world.

Buzz!

Tian Fan’s golden hand slammed down, sending the Nether Moon flying before it shattered in the distant sky. Wu Biheng spat bl00d, forced to endure with his physical body.

Bang!

The two clashed violently once more, their physical bodies colliding in a dazzling display. Wu Biheng’s Purple Gold Battle Armor failed to withstand the force of Tian Fan’s powerful strikes. A corner of it shattered, revealing cracks.

Bang!

Another punch landed, shattering the Purple Gold Battle Armor completely. The fragments fell onto the ruined earth below. Above Tian Fan’s head, the ancient character floated while golden light surged around him. His massive golden hand descended like a grinding disc, pressing down on Wu Biheng.

“Ah…”

Wu Biheng raised his arms to resist, but his scream betrayed the toll it took. The clash left his arms nearly deformed and his body drenched in bl00d, with countless wounds appearing.

Splurt!

Tian Fan’s afterimage flashed as he charged, pressing his attack relentlessly. He gave Wu Biheng no respite, striking heavily and continuously.

Bang!

The brutal collision sent Wu Biheng into a frenzy. His black hair stood on end as his fury and terror peaked.

“K!ll!”

Tian Fan roared. The Sword Immortal Sect had gone too far, sending ten prodigies to kill him. His rage had reached its limit. Seizing Wu Biheng’s arm, he exuded an aura that could swallow mountains and rivers.

“Ah…”

Tian Fan let out a shout, and the earth quaked. With a ferocious tug, he r!pped Wu Biheng’s left arm clean off, bl00d spraying across the land.

In the distance, Zi Ying’s beautiful eyes widened in shock as she stared at the berserk Tian Fan. Even Xiao Hua, perched on her shoulder, wore a stunned expression, its little tiger mouth agape.

“Ah…”

Wu Biheng screamed as his arm was torn off, bl00d flowing profusely and staining half his body red.

He activated the Primordial Unity Art, his life essence boiling. A stream of white bl00d energy erupted from his severed arm, staunching the flow of bl00d.

At this moment, Wu Biheng was truly terrified. He began burning his essence and fled into the distant sky.

“Trying to escape? Do you think you can get away?”

Tian Fan shouted, stepping forward with divine speed and leaving an afterimage as he pursued.

High above the sky, Wu Biheng, his left arm severed, found his combat strength plummeting. Burning his essence, he fled with such speed that even Tian Fan was taken aback. “Damn it, with that speed, he’s practically the authority on escaping.”

Boom!

A streak of silver light shot from Tian Fan’s fingertips toward Wu Biheng, narrowly missing him. The sword light struck a nearby valley, leaving a crater in the earth.

“Argh…”

Wu Biheng, driven mad, burned his essence even faster. His speed increased yet again as he transformed into a small black dot shooting forward.

“You can’t escape. Today, I’ll end you!”

Tian Fan roared, the golden ancient character above his head radiating boundless divine light. A ray of brilliance shot into his body, enhancing his speed instantly.

The two moved with incredible swiftness, leaving more than a dozen mountains behind in an instant.

“Someone’s fighting at an incredible speed!”

The thousand-mile chase left countless cultivators stunned. Upon catching sight of the two, they exclaimed in shock, “That’s Wu Biheng from the Sword Immortal Sect! He’s on the verge of reaching the Cloud Heaven peak… and he’s being chased!”

A powerful cultivator identified the purple-robed man with a severed left arm up ahead. This man had ventured out three times in the past, each time shocking the world with his overwhelming strength and brilliance. Now, his fourth appearance was equally astonishing, but for a different reason—this time, he was being pursued. Everyone showed expressions of disbelief.

“That person behind him looks familiar. Have we seen him somewhere before?”

Wu Biheng’s defeat left the crowd in shock, and Tian Fan, who was pursuing him, became the center of attention.

“That’s Tian Fan, the champion of the Four Sect Martial Competition from a while ago! He’s the one chasing Wu Biheng!”

Someone recalled the “Demon Extermination Decree” issued by the Sword Immortal Sect and recognized Tian Fan.

“There’s a golden character above his head. It looks like… it’s the character for ‘Divine’!”

The Divine Martial Continent was not lacking in experts familiar with ancient scripts. Those who had read countless ancient texts immediately recognized the archaic symbol above Tian Fan’s head, their expressions filled with shock.

“What? Divine? Is he really a god?”

Many people, upon hearing about the ancient character above Tian Fan’s head, were visibly shaken, murmuring in disbelief.

A god, like an immortal, was only mentioned in ancient texts—beings of myth and legend, possessing unparalleled power and lifespans rivaling the heavens.

According to legend, in the distant ancient past, gods, immortals, and even supreme demon lords existed in the human realm. But for some unknown reason, they disappeared without a trace, never to be seen again. The Immortal Realm, Divine Realm, and Demon Realm vanished as well, and no one could ascend to them. Even the strongest of cultivators could only wait helplessly for their life force to wither away.

Gradually, people came to regard the records in ancient texts as mere myths, not rooted in reality. Yet, seeing the ancient divine script above Tian Fan’s head, many could no longer remain calm.

Was there truly a Divine God in this world? Could this person be a descendant of a god, or even a divine son? Otherwise, why would there be an ancient divine symbol above his head? For millions of years, apart from fragments of ancient texts, such writing had never appeared on the Divine Martial Continent.

More importantly, the ancient character exuded an incredibly ancient aura, as if it carried the weight of countless eons.

“That’s Tian Fan. Could he really be the son of a Divine God? How is this possible?”

Countless cultivators nearby were stunned, unable to believe what they were witnessing.

Wu Biheng fled in terror, overwhelmed by fear.

Tian Fan was too fast—within moments, he closed the distance.

A golden hand descended, causing the void to tremble.

“Poof…”

Wu Biheng was sent flying, vomiting bl00d.

“Such a powerful physical body! Is he really a god’s descendant? How else could he be this strong when he’s only at the early stage of Cloud Heaven?”

“His strength rivals the Primordial Unity realm!”

“Ah!”

Wu Biheng screamed in agony as another punch from Tian Fan sent him hurtling a hundred meters away. Yet, his body glowed even brighter as his essence burned wildly.

As a disciple of the Sword Immortal Sect, his True Qi was profound, and his physical body far surpassed that of other cultivators. Anyone else would have been reduced to pulp under Tian Fan’s blows.

Wu Biheng’s long black hair was soaked with his own bl00d. For the first time, he felt the despair of impending death. But he was unwilling to accept this fate.

He was a Sword Immortal Sect disciple, an undeniable genius. At just twenty-three years old, he was nearing the peak of Cloud Heaven. Across the Divine Martial Continent, he was one of the most exceptional talents. Yet now, he was about to die at the hands of someone at the early stage of Cloud Heaven. It was something he found hard to accept.

As the chase continued across the vast plains, Tian Fan and Wu Biheng left a trail of shattered stones and torn grass. Many cultivators exclaimed in awe, especially when they recognized Wu Biheng, the genius of the Sword Immortal Sect.

A prodigy of such caliber—already one step away from the peak of Cloud Heaven—was a near-invincible figure on the Divine Martial Continent. If nothing unexpected happened, he was destined to become one of its rulers in a few centuries, a supreme expert of the Immortal Ascension realm. Yet today, he was in such a dire state.

Everyone who witnessed the scene found it unbelievable. Was Tian Fan truly this powerful? Those who once harbored malicious intentions toward him swallowed nervously, abandoning their plans. Wu Biheng’s defeat was monumental news, causing a significant commotion across the plains.

The two mighty combatants continued across the plains.

Wu Biheng sustained more injuries, with bl00d holes appearing on his body and his right arm dangling limply, its bones shattered.

“No! I don’t want to die!”

Wu Biheng roared, his black hair flying wildly, standing on end as he let out a despairing cry.

“Hmph! Whether you want to or not, you’ll die!”

Tian Fan snorted coldly. He never sought trouble, but he never feared it either. This all began with Long Daotian. Tian Fan had merely defended himself, yet because of the destruction of one of their artifacts, they issued a “Demon Extermination Decree” against him. Such injustice warranted a thunderous response, regardless of whether the opponent was an immortal sect.

“Ninefold Unity!” Tian Fan unleashed his move, and a silver sword light tore through the sky, causing the earth and stones to whirl in chaos.

Bang!

A deafening sound echoed as a massive boulder was pierced through, sending fragments flying everywhere. Wu Biheng screamed as he was engulfed in an endless vortex of energy, tossed a hundred meters away, leaving a long trail on the plains.

“You can’t kill me! If you do, the Sword Immortal Sect will tear you apart! You can’t stand against the Sword Immortal Sect!”

Wu Biheng shouted in terror, his bl00d-stained body trembling as he collapsed on the ground.

Bang!

Tian Fan’s response was a golden hand descending. He sneered, unmoved, and strode forward.

“No! I don’t want to die!”

By now, Wu Biheng had lost both arms, and his internal organs were shattered. Yet even in such a state, he refused to accept death, burning his life force as he fled toward the northern region. Ahead, a vast mountain range loomed, filled with towering ancient trees.

“Goodbye, Wu Biheng!” Tian Fan raised his right hand and shouted, “Rest in dust!” His roar sent flocks of birds fleeing in fright.

The golden ancient character above his head radiated divine brilliance, enveloping him in boundless light. A silver formation diagram appeared, stretching across the sky and covering most of the ancient forest. Wu Biheng had no escape as the silver formation pinned him down.

Boom!

The silver formation slowly descended. It carried no terrifying energy fluctuations or destructive aura but seemed capable of suppressing everything. Wu Biheng was utterly crushed.

Moments later, the silver formation disappeared. The earth remained intact, the ancient forest unscathed, and only a one-armed man lay lifeless on the ground.

Many cultivators had followed the battle, but now they could only watch from afar as a white figure hovered in mid-air. Above his head, the golden ancient character for “Divine” glowed brilliantly. Its ancient and majestic aura radiated powerfully, illuminating the entire sky.
