‘If I had known that he would enjoy a homemade lunch box so much, I would have tried making one myself!’
“Good! Ed, ask the kitchen to prepare the ingredients right away!”
“Yes?”
“If he’s happy with commoners’ meals, isn’t that something I can do as well?”
“You can, but the lady cooking herself…”
Ed hesitated for a moment. He understood the character of Amelia Iori Lionheart quite well, having served her for years. However, ever since Amelia had taken in Kim Hyunjin, a boy she picked up, she had become harder to manage.
Ed debated whether to express his concerns honestly or to remain quietly supportive. However, his sense of duty to protect Amelia prevailed. To avoid any potential mishaps, he decided it would be best to assign a cooking teacher to assist Amelia.
After reaching this conclusion, Ed spoke up again. “I will instruct her to come to the mansion immediately.”
Amelia, catching the implication of who Ed referred to, shrugged and responded with exaggerated confidence.
“Hmph, Ed! Don’t you believe in me? I, Amelia Iori Lionheart, am more than capable of cooking!”
“But, my lady, cooking involves handling cutlery. If you were to get hurt…”
Ed’s concern seemed to resonate with Amelia. She replied firmly, “Hmm, now that you mention it, that is a valid point. Good observation, Ed. However, this is something I must accomplish on my own.”
“Is that so…”
Ed, who had served the Lionheart family for many years, remembered Amelia’s persistent determination. Her bright nature had always been accompanied by a certain stubbornness.
Accepting Amelia’s resolve, Ed relented and refrained from further objections, even though he quietly instructed someone to watch over Amelia just in case.

[Kim Hyunjin’s POV]
After winning about ten matches in a row, I was finally able to leave. The other side seemed to have given up entirely, as no credits were inserted to continue.
As a gamer, I disliked half-hearted efforts, so I had played with everything I had.
‘Still, that was a tough opponent.’
I reflected on how close I came to losing a few matches due to minor mistakes. Curious about the identity of the person I had faced, I walked over to their side to say goodbye.
What I saw was a mysterious woman.
Her attire stood out—something familiar about it caught my attention.
‘Huh? Is that the Hoshizora High School uniform?’
The style was distinctive, with a sense of refinement. I could only see her from behind—a figure with slightly loose, tidy silver hair and an air of elegance even in her gait.
She must have felt my gaze because she turned her head to speak first.
“Do you have something to say?”
When her gaze met mine, I recognized her immediately. She was Hoshizora Tsubasa, a sub-heroine from To Love X Lady.
Tsubasa was a second-year student at Hoshizora High School, the daughter of the school president, and the student council president. She had a perfectionist personality and secretly relieved stress by playing games at arcades. Losing was something she despised more than anything, though she tried to mask her emotions.
“Oh, yes. You’re really skilled at games,” I commented.
Tsubasa must have sensed sarcasm in my tone because she snapped back, “You’re acting nonchalant toward someone who hasn’t won a single match…?”
“I wasn’t being sarcastic. I almost lost,” I replied honestly.
“…Is that so?”
Her reaction was priceless. I could almost laugh at how she tried to maintain composure. A perfectionist like her would undoubtedly be upset by losing to me.
It was clear from the subtle frustration she displayed that she was dwelling on her loss. I could imagine her replaying the matches in her mind later, analyzing every move to figure out why she lost ten times in a row.
That determination was amusing—and, in a way, endearing.
“By the way, senpai… Judging by the color of your nameplate, I believe it would be right to call you that…” I said, testing the waters.
Tsubasa immediately snapped, “I don’t see why seniority among gamers should matter. What’s the point?”
Ah, she’s angry. But her effort to maintain a polite demeanor made her even more endearing.
“Well, it’s good to know you’re a senior. I look forward to playing with you again, Hoshizora-senpai.”
Tsubasa gave me a sharp look, studying me for a few moments before sighing and replying, “…I see. Very well, then. Excuse me.”
With a curt bow, she turned and walked away quickly, disappearing into the crowd.
“Who would have thought I’d meet the student council president here…” I mused aloud.
I hadn’t expected to encounter her until later in the semester. Her quick departure made it clear she had realized we attended the same school and wanted to avoid further interaction for now.
The nameplate on Hoshizora High School uniforms indicated grade levels. She must have assumed I was a freshman and dismissed me.
‘This should’ve been Ryunosuke’s event,’ I thought to myself.
In the original story, Natsuki Ryunosuke was the one skilled at arcade games. He would’ve had a similar encounter, showcasing his abilities and forging a bond with Tsubasa.
Suddenly, an idea struck me—what if I helped Tsubasa improve her gaming skills and arranged for her to challenge Ryunosuke later?
Of course, this would only work if I became close to her.
“Oops, it’s already this late.”
I realized I needed to return to Lionheart Mansion. Staying out too long would cause unnecessary trouble.
