“Who’s there?” Feng Xinghua reacted swiftly, whipping his head around. Seeing my attire, he visibly jumped in surprise and stammered nervously, “Who are you? How did you get into my office?”
“President Feng, I… I want it!” The w0man beneath him, completely oblivious to the situation, m0aned with a desperate hunger in her voice.
Damn her! The heated scene was so intense that I couldn’t bear to look at it directly.
“Shut up!” Feng Xinghua scolded the woman irritably. Only then did she snap out of her daze. Upon seeing my striking appearance, she screamed in dread.
I silenced her with a swift chop to the neck, knocking her unconscious. Picking up some clothes from the floor, I covered her exposed body.
“Who are you?!” Feng Xinghua demanded, visibly flustered, as he scrambled to his feet.
With a sigh, I pulled out a black dagger.
Seeing this, Feng Xinghua hastily grabbed his phone and started dialing, likely to call the security guards downstairs.
“Smack!” I kicked the phone out of his hand and said coldly, “President Feng, right?”
“My third uncle is the deputy mayor. You’d better think twice before doing anything rash!” Feng Xinghua blurted, still trying to flaunt his connections.
I chuckled darkly, then suddenly adopted a fierce expression and slapped him hard. “And my dad is the Jade Emperor! So what?”
“You… Are you here for money? I can give you money! How about a hundred thousand? Is that enough?” Feng Xinghua pleaded, his face pale with terror.
When I didn’t respond, he upped the offer. “Two hundred thousand!”
“Is that all your life is worth, President Feng?” I pressed the cold dagger against his face, tapping it rhythmically to frighten him further.
“Three hundred thousand!” Feng Xinghua raised the price again. Seeing my unchanged expression, he quickly added, “Five hundred thousand! Surely that’s enough?”
“President Feng, it’s fine to negotiate, but do you always point a gun at your clients during a deal?” I mocked him, gesturing toward his exposed manhood with the dagger.
Despite trembling in fear, the man still managed to maintain some vigor down below. However, its size was rather unimpressive.
Feng Xinghua hurriedly covered himself with his hands. “Brother! Hero! Please, name your price to spare my life!”
“At least a million,” I mused aloud.
“I’ll transfer it to your account right now!” Feng Xinghua brightened up, sensing hope.
I smirked disdainfully. “I prefer cash.”
“Hero, you must be joking. Who carries a million in cash on them?” Feng Xinghua whined.
“You’re a smart boss, I’ll give you that,” I replied with a grin before snarling, “But yes, I am messing with you!”
“Brother, we’ve no past grudges or recent enmities. Please, spare me!” Feng Xinghua begged pitifully.
“Recently, wasn’t there a fatal incident at one of your construction sites?” I asked him coolly.
Feng Xinghua froze for a moment before blurting out, “Fatal incidents happen on construction sites all the time. How am I supposed to know?”
It seemed like deaths were common occurrences on Feng Xinghua’s sites. Based on Zhang Yu and Xiao Kun’s cases, these victims likely received no compensation either.
Anger surged through me, and I slapped him again.
“Why are you hitting me?” Feng Xinghua cried, clutching his reddened cheek.
“I hate it when people point guns at me. And you dared to point this at me?” I pointed at his manh0od with the dagger. “Damn it, you really deserved a beating!”
With that, I delivered slap after slap to his face until his b0dy finally went limp.
“Hero, you’ve hit me enough. Can you let me go now?” Feng Xinghua pleaded, his swollen face trembling as he forced a smile.
“You b*stard! Trying to scare me again?” I retorted, startled by his sudden grin. I smacked him again for good measure.
“President Feng, are you alright?” Before I could deal another blow, a group of security guards barged in.
Feng Xinghua, who had been weeping moments earlier, suddenly burst into laughter. “Surprised?”
How had he managed to summon reinforcements when I had kicked his phone away?
“I have plenty of enemies, so I prepared for this long ago!” Feng Xinghua revealed a small remote control in his hand. “One press of this button, and the guards come running!”
“Shut the hell up!” I yanked him close, placing the black dagger against his neck. “Tell them to leave!”
“You heard him! Get out of here!” Feng Xinghua shouted at the guards.
They hesitated briefly but eventually retreated after exchanging uncertain glances.
This place was no longer safe. Staying longer would only attract more people, making escape harder.
Initially, I had thought Feng Xinghua was somewhat capable, but his need to flaunt in front of me was just foolish. Using him as a hostage was now my best option.
I knocked him out with another chop, slung him over my shoulder, and taunted the guards with a playful grin. “Here’s a parting gift for you all!” Kicking the sofa toward them, I inadvertently caused the w0man’s clothes to fall, revealing her bare b0dy. My eyes briefly caught her heaving chest, and I couldn’t help but wonder if Mei’er’s would be as impressive.
Ugh, what was I even thinking? Shaking my head, I made my escape.
Carrying Feng Xinghua, I leaped out of the sixth-floor window. Although my strength had grown significantly, surviving such a jump unscathed wasn’t something I could yet achieve.
Why was I confident enough to jump? Because I had prepared in advance.
Before entering the building, Zhang Peng and I had set up an inflatable cushion downstairs.
The impact was significant but manageable for someone like me.
“Damn, that’s high!” Even after countless “double flights” with Mei’er, my fear of heights hadn’t completely faded. My heart still raced.
Lost in thought, I landed safely on the cushion. Looking up at the dumbfounded guards on the sixth floor, I sneered.
To my surprise, one guard tried to mimic my jump.
I punctured the cushion with my dagger, slung Feng Xinghua back onto my shoulder, and dialed Zhang Peng as I ran. “I’m down. Get the car to the usual spot, now!” I hung up and sprinted toward the rendezvous point.
Moments later, a white van pulled up. Zhang Peng opened the door and said, “My brothers are pretending to demand payment to stall the guards. Let’s move!”
I tossed the unconscious Feng Xinghua into the van and instructed Zhang Peng, “Handle him as you see fit, but follow the route I gave you. Leave no evidence behind!”
Earlier, I had contacted Zhang Peng, who agreed to help cover this up. However, any obvious traces could ruin everything.
The reason I handed Feng Xinghua to Zhang Peng instead of dealing with him myself was simple. I had no personal vendetta against him; this was for Zhang Yu and Xiao Kun. Zhang Peng, however, had a deep grudge against him. Letting him handle it seemed fitting.
With Feng Xinghua dealt with, I felt I had done my part for Zhang Yu.
After finding a secluded spot, I changed my clothes and strolled back onto the street.
Having witnessed a live “action” scene earlier, my blood was still boiling. I decided to head home and tease Mei’er a little.
But just as I was about to leave, my phone rang. It was an unknown number.
“Hello?” I answered politely.
A familiar voice came through. “It’s Long Qingyang…”
What the hell! When did that old man learn to use a phone?
