“Xiao Lin, you certainly know how to talk,” Qu Na said with a radiant smile, her gaze fixed on me until I grew unbearably tense.
“S-Sister Qu, this pool is wonderfully warm—no chill at all,” I stammered, heat rising within me.
“Of course. It’s heated. Let’s swim together.” With that, she turned and dove away with a splash.
I nodded and joined her.
Swimming side by side temporarily calmed my restlessness, yet I knew the night held more.
After half an hour, Qu Na climbed out. I followed, heart racing at the sight of her graceful form. We had only just met, yet here we were, drawn so close.
“Xiao Lin, I’ve looked into Daifen before. Your brand isn’t exceptionally competitive. I invited you here tonight not for the products,” she said, towelling off and meeting my eyes.
“Then… why?” Alarm flared—had the deal fallen through?
“Come upstairs with me.” Smiling faintly, she took my hand and led me inside.
“You know, I bought this villa at forty thousand per square metre—twenty million total. Now it’s worth forty million in Hangzhou,” she remarked as we ascended the stairs.
“I’m in import-export, but real estate interests me too. This is only one of my properties.”
Her wealth stunned me. The garage alone held several luxury cars; she was the sort who matched her vehicles to her outfits.
“Sister Qu, you’re incredibly wealthy,” I said.
“It’s out of necessity. I swore never to marry again.” A trace of sadness coloured her voice.
Had she been married and divorced? Or heartbroken so deeply she remained alone?
We entered her bedroom.
“Xiao Lin, are you married?” she asked, lifting her gaze.
I flushed.
“With your looks and character, surely you are,” she smiled.
“Yes, several years now. No children yet—my wife works abroad and returns only for holidays,” I explained awkwardly.
“Then do you know why I truly asked you here tonight?”
“To sign the contract,” I blurted.
Qu Na laughed softly, eyes roaming over me as she bit her lip. “And besides that?”
“S-Sister Qu… have you taken a liking to me?” The words escaped before I could stop them.
She giggled, her laughter shaking her enticingly.
From her bedside bag she drew a photograph and handed it over.
I glanced—and froze.
An old image: a younger Qu Na in graduation robes, perhaps twenty-two, beside a tall, slender young man in matching attire.
He looked exactly like me.
“This man—who is he? He’s… my double,” I gasped.
“My boyfriend from university,” she said softly, studying the photo.
My pulse thundered. No wonder her interest—I had awakened old memories.
“Xiao Lin, stay with me tonight. Even if only for an hour.” Her eyes pleaded.
I nodded.
Delighted, she fetched nightwear and smiled. “Let’s shower together.”
I stared.
“Don’t worry—the bathroom is spacious. We can bathe separately,” she reassured.
The bathroom held a separate shower and a vast tub. Qu Na locked the door and slipped into the steaming water, back turned.
Her beauty overwhelmed me. I had never known a w0man so mature and alluring. What might happen after?
“Xiao Lin, shower quickly and wait for me in the bedroom,” she murmured.
I entered the glass-walled shower, removed my trunks, and washed swiftly—yet glimpses of her soaking in the tub stirred uncontrollable desire. I imagined joining her.
Reason held me back.
Robed and hair towel-dried, I left for the bedroom and lay on the luxurious bed, eyes drawn to the small vibrating toy beside the pillow. Anticipation built.
After the hum of a hairdryer, Qu Na emerged in a sheer black silk nightdress that revealed every curve. She dimmed the main light, switched on a soft pink lamp, and climbed onto the bed beside me.
Up close, I saw her tremble slightly, eyes wide and searching.
“Xiao Lin, give me a beautiful night,” she whispered.
I could no longer resist—I pulled her into my arms.
