Chapter 236: Beginner’s Five Elements Technique

The Five Elements Technique was somewhat different from what I had imagined. I initially thought it was a transformation of True Qi within the body, but it turned out to be the process of using the True Qi in my body to condense the Five Elements Spiritual Qi from the air.

Earlier, Mei’er had mentioned that the air contained not just Attribute-less Spirit Qi, but also the Five Elements Spiritual Qi of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth.

The Attribute-less Spirit Qi could be absorbed and refined by cultivators into True Qi, while the other five types of elemental Spiritual Qi could not be absorbed or refined; they had to be directly utilized.

After Wu Ming’s explanation, I learned that these elemental Spiritual Qi could not be drawn into the body but could only be guided using one’s own Spiritual Qi, allowing them to be condensed and used to cast techniques.

Boom!

Looking at the fireball in my hand, I shook my head helplessly.

The fireball didn’t feel burning to me; I wondered what effect it would have if thrown at someone.

“Pretty clever, huh? You succeeded right away! Next, let’s try the waterball technique!” Wu Ming said while munching on some fruit, laughing.

This guy was quite familiar; he went straight to the fridge in the living room to grab whatever he wanted without any politeness towards me.

A waterball appeared in his hand, and Wu Ming laughed again: “Not bad! Keep going!”

Wu Ming only taught me some simple Five Elements techniques, but among these, I preferred the wood attribute’s Wind Blade Technique because I thought it had the most power.

As for the earth attribute’s Earth Wall Technique, I wasn’t too fond of it.

Wu Ming only taught me four types of the Five Elements Technique, but he didn’t teach me his own metal attribute technique, which made me a bit puzzled: “What about the metal attribute technique?”

“Are you sure you want to learn?” Wu Ming asked seriously.

I suddenly felt a bit uneasy. Was there something special about this metal attribute technique?

“The metal element represents thunder and lightning, and thunder and lightning are the means by which heaven punishes the world. Since ancient times, very few people have had metal as their destined attribute. I don’t know whether to say you’re lucky or just unfortunate!” Wu Ming said helplessly. “Actually, when I asked you to absorb the Metal Attribute Essence, I thought you had no chance of surviving, but you did it, which really surprised me!”

“Since the metal attribute techniques are so awesome, why not teach me quickly!” I said with a smile, already envisioning myself surrounded by thunder and lightning.

Wu Ming looked at me and cursed, “Ignorant! Since thunder and lightning are controlled by heaven, how can mere mortals hope to control them!”

Hearing this from Wu Ming, I was stunned. Indeed, thunder and lightning were a way for heaven to enforce punishment; how could mortals dare to use them?

“So you mean I can’t cultivate the metal attribute techniques right now?” I asked Wu Ming, looking puzzled.

Wu Ming shook his head: “That’s not it. Simple thunder techniques can still be learned. Besides, there’s more to metal attribute techniques than just thunder and lightning.”

Damn! I suddenly felt a surge of wanting to teach Wu Ming a lesson; this guy was too full of himself!

“Although I’ve always told you that you can’t go against heaven, I actually don’t believe it myself. Your personality is somewhat similar to mine; we’re both carefree people. Now, I’ll teach you this lightning technique!” Wu Ming said as he stood up, adding, “By the way, my destined attribute is also metal!”

Can I just say, what the hell? This guy is way too arrogant! First, he talks about how terrifying it is to cultivate metal attribute techniques, and now he’s revealing that he himself practices metal attribute techniques. Isn’t that just showing off?

Wait! His destined attribute is also metal, so why does he use the Metal Attribute Essence himself? Wu Ming was being a bit too good to himself; there must be a reason behind it, but he just didn’t want to say…

The beginner metal attribute techniques had two types: one was the Summoning Thunder Technique, which sounded quite impressive, but it was actually similar to the fireball and waterball techniques, condensing metal attribute Spiritual Qi in the hand to form a small ball of lightning.

The other was Alchemy, a method of purifying metal ores. The golden little sword within me, using its own Blade Refinement Technique, was several times stronger than Alchemy, so I directly gave up on learning it.

In addition, Wu Ming taught me a technique called the Five Thunder technique.

The name sounded quite impressive, but it was just about condensing five thunderballs at once; of course, the destructive power was increased.

Beginner techniques didn’t require hand seals or incantations, but the Five Thunder Technique seemed a bit advanced and needed hand seals, though it wasn’t complicated.

After teaching me these, Wu Ming disappeared again, not knowing where he went.

But based on past experiences, he wouldn’t have gone far; he might even be observing me from nearby.

“Ah!!!” Suddenly, a scream echoed from the living room; it was Tang Shuyiao’s voice. Did something happen?!

I hurriedly ran out of the bedroom and into the living room.

I saw Tang Shuyiao standing in front of the open fridge, her body trembling uncontrollably.

“Yao Yao, what happened?” I asked quickly, sensing that something was off.

Tang Shuyiao turned around, glaring at me angrily, and walked towards me step by step.

Uh… what’s going on? She seemed fine, but why did I have a feeling of unease?

“Did you cruelly kill my fruit?!” Tang Shuyiao shouted at me.

What the hell! It was just fruit… fruit! That was what Wu Ming ate, okay? It had nothing to do with me!

“Yao Yao, you have to believe me, I absolutely didn’t do it!” I quickly explained.

But Tang Shuyiao shook her head, holding up an apple that had already been bitten into, saying, “Who else has a mouth this big besides you?!”

Wu Ming, damn you! I said you could eat, but why did you bite into it and put it back?!

“Uh, Yao Yao, let me explain. I really didn’t eat that apple!” I tried to calm Tang Shuyiao down.

Tang Shuyiao looked at me, speaking each word clearly: “I bought seven apples, and you ate six! There’s only one left, and you even bit into it! I’m going to avenge my dead fruits!” Saying this, she actually looked like she was going to attack me.

I quickly grabbed Tang Shuyiao’s hand and said, “How many times do I have to say it for you to understand! If you don’t believe me, you can taste my mouth and see if there’s any apple flavor!”

I really didn’t want to argue with a girl; this was also why I always found myself at a disadvantage in verbal battles with girls.

“You, you, you pervert!” Tang Shuyiao was furious.

But was it really that serious?

At that moment, my phone suddenly rang, so I said to Tang Shuyiao, “I’ll take this call first. I really didn’t eat that apple. I’ll go out and buy you some cucumbers later.”

After saying that, I answered the phone.

“Xiao Tian, come back quickly! Grandpa has fallen ill!” My aunt’s anxious voice came through the phone.
