Chapter 25: You’re So Impatient

“This morning I ran into Secretary Zhao in the elevator. She was carrying an evening gown, and we chatted,” Liu Xue explained hurriedly.

“I see.” I nodded thoughtfully. “Tingmei, book tomorrow’s flights and hotel for Hainan. Xiao Xue, find out exactly what kind of event President Wang’s gala is.”

“Got it, Brother Nan.”

“Understood, Brother Nan.”

Watching them leave, I took a deep breath. I could no longer let Sun Dan keep me under her thumb. Once I had something on her, she would have to obey me and stop being so arrogant.

At noon, Zhang Tingmei and Liu Xue invited me to grab a quick meal at a nearby mall. There I learned the evening event was a small, exclusive gathering of high-end figures in the apparel industry. President Wang would attend with Secretary Zhao and Sun Dan. While Secretary Zhao was known to be extremely close to him, Sun Dan’s presence was unusual.

“Brother Nan, the Palm Tree Grand Hotel is by the bay—quite far from here. There’ve been rumors in the company for a while that President Wang is not only involved with Secretary Zhao but has grown close to that tigress lately. Word is, after the New Year they’ll create a regional sales director position for East China, and she’s been eyeing it for ages,” Liu Xue said quickly.

“I understand.” I nodded.

“Brother Nan, you’re not planning to go tonight, are you?” Zhang Tingmei asked uncertainly.

“Don’t overthink it, girls. This Hainan trip is real—make sure the sample cl0thes are ready early,” I replied.

“Okay, we’ll head to the factory this afternoon.”

“We won’t let you down, Brother Nan.”

After they agreed and we returned to the office, the idea solidified: I had to go to the hotel that evening.

At the end of the workday, I watched Sun Dan leave the company with a triumphant air and sneered inwardly.

In the underground garage, I got into my car, set the navigation, confirmed the hotel’s location, went home to change into a suit, and styled my hair.

By nearly six o’clock, I was driving toward the bay.

The Palm Tree Grand Hotel was one of the few five-star hotels in the suburbs. Due to its special location, it was also a Shanghai tourist spot. With the weather turning cooler, few visitors came to the seaside.

I parked in the open-air lot several hundred meters from the entrance, straightened my appearance, and approached the hotel.

I arrived early to scout the place. Only then did I realize entry required an invitation pass issued in advance to guests.

“Damn it, what now? How do I get in?” I muttered anxiously, looking around helplessly.

At that moment, a BMW 730 pulled up. I recognized President Wang’s license plate instantly. The driver parked at the entrance, the rear door opened slowly, and President Wang stepped out.

Portly and dressed in a gaudy gold suit, he adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses. Secretary Zhao and Sun Dan followed.

Secretary Zhao wore an elegant black-and-white evening gown and clung to his arm with poise. Sun Dan carried a small handbag, glancing around as she stayed close to his side.

“That tigress, dressing so provocatively!” I cursed under my breath.

Indeed, Sun Dan wore a black lace hip-hugging dress—backless, the hem barely reaching mid-thigh, revealing long legs encased in black stockings.

“Excuse me, sir, is the Dysia commercial gala here?”

A pleasant voice startled me. I turned to see a young w0man in a white pleated skirt.

She was about 1.60 meters tall with a doll-like face—delicate yet strikingly beautiful. An invitation pass hung around her neck as she blinked up at me.

“Yes, it is. And you are?” I asked, sizing her up.

“I—I’m a designer, new to the industry. I’m here to observe the Dysia fashion show,” she said, blushing slightly.

“Invited guest?” I pressed.

“I applied myself. As long as a recognized authority in fashion design approves, anyone can,” she explained.

“Ah… I’m an invited guest too, but I forgot my pass. Would you mind if I entered with you?” I said with a slight smile.

She giggled. “Of course not. As long as the organizers know you, it’s fine. I’m Jiang Lili. And you?”

“Lin Nan, from Daifen Brand.” I grinned and handed her my business card.

“Pleased to meet you.” She accepted it with both hands and glanced at it.

“Shall we go in?” I said calmly.

Thanks to quick thinking, I walked in alongside Jiang Lili. The hall was filled with men in formal suits and w0men in evening gowns. A red-carpet runway for models dominated the center. I immediately spotted President Wang chatting in a corner. Jiang Lili began looking around curiously.

I took a glass of red wine from a waiter’s tray and observed from afar. President Wang whispered something to Secretary Zhao; she walked away moments later. Then, to my shock, he slipped an arm around Sun Dan’s slender wa!st. She smiled back, cheeks flushed.

You shameless w0man!

I snapped several photos on my phone. Soon after, I saw President Wang lead Sun Dan toward the winding staircase to the upper floor.

Driven by curiosity, I set down my glass and followed.

Minutes later, I reached the second floor, but with so many private rooms, I was momentarily lost.

“Ah… President Wang, not so fast. We have all night—after the gala, please…”

“Who told you to dress so seductively? Don’t worry, no one’s here. Let me love you properly!”

“No—don’t! President Wang, don’t pull my skirt!”

Following the voices, I located a fire-exit door.

Through the narrow gap, I saw President Wang lift Sun Dan’s skirt. Her full, rounded a$$ was suddenly exposed. His large hand caressed it while he k!ssed her neck.

“Ah… President Wang, you’re too impatient.”

“Heh heh, it’s more exciting here. Dan Dan, I’ve missed you like crazy. Tonight I’m going to ravish you thoroughly!”
