Qin Hui was a venomous snake, hiding in the shadows, ready to bite at any moment.
Su Jie himself was proficient in physiognomy and knew exactly what kind of person this was. Moreover, his realm was growing ever more profound…his understanding of physiognomy had reached the point of effortless mastery, judging people like a god. Facing Qin Hui’s surveillance, Su Jie immediately struck first.
Perhaps he could even gain some unexpected benefits from this man.
By instinct, Su Jie felt there was something very wrong with Qin Hui.
“Su Jie, you’re now suspected of intentional assault.” Qin Hui ignored Su Jie’s question entirely, his gaze sharp, his words threatening.
Su Jie stepped forward, grabbed Qin Hui, and lifted him up. With a wave of his hand, the needles in Qin Hui’s knees were retrieved. “Intentional assault? There’s not a single wound on your body. Filing a false police report is illegal.”
As he grabbed Qin Hui, Su Jie gripped his spine from behind and sneered coldly: “With one squeeze, I can shatter your spine…you’ll be ruined for life. Come with me. We’ll talk in your car.”
Gripped by Su Jie, Qin Hui found himself completely immobile…and he didn’t dare move, because with the slightest motion, Su Jie might actually cripple him.
Su Jie took him to Qin Hui’s own car, into the back seat behind the driver’s seat, and closed the door…instantly creating an enclosed space.
“Now you can talk. Why were you following me?” Su Jie didn’t release Qin Hui, but asked his question.
“Su Jie, you’re very bold. This is unlawful detention…you should know the consequences.” Qin Hui was still questioning and threatening. “Also, don’t put on an act. You won’t dare do anything to me. I’ve studied your personality. You appear tough, but you’re actually law-abiding and soft…you won’t dare lay a hand on me.”
“Is that so?” Su Jie smiled. “You’ve studied me so deeply…why? Just because I’m in your way? But I don’t agree that I’m soft. You seem to have received special agent training. You look like you can endure pain.”
“What do you want?” Qin Hui heard the malice in Su Jie’s tone and raised his voice.
“Nothing much. Special agents have many interrogation techniques…they can cause extreme pain without leaving any trace, maximizing torment. I happened to have learned these methods. Of course, I’m just giving you a massage…loosening your muscles and joints. If you can endure it, I’ll admire you.” Su Jie still smiled, but his hands moved like lightning, pinching a highly sensitive nerve cluster on Qin Hui’s body.
Ah!
Qin Hui nearly screamed his throat raw.
But Su Jie’s hand clamped his neck, preventing his vocal cords from vibrating…no sound came out.
Moreover, the grip on his neck made resistance impossible and cut off oxygen to his brain, blurring his consciousness.
Qin Hui was very strong…his martial arts impressive…but before Su Jie, he was barely better than a child. Su Jie could manipulate him however he wished.
Su Jie continued applying massage techniques across Qin Hui’s body, each one causing excruciating neuromuscular pain.
Uncle Mang’s massage could cause unbearable agony…few could endure it.
Su Jie’s massage techniques now far surpassed Uncle Mang’s. His understanding of human anatomy and psychological manipulation was far beyond Uncle Mang’s reach.
All this progress was thanks to his time researching at Larry’s life sciences laboratory.
Larry had collected vast amounts of data. Under high-tech research, the knowledge Su Jie absorbed far exceeded university curriculum.
The lab also contained many special agent interrogation techniques.
“Talk. Why were you looking for me?” Su Jie kept Qin Hui’s neck clamped, keeping his consciousness blurred, while continuously using extreme techniques to torment his nerves…preventing Qin Hui’s will from coalescing.
Like a dazed patient…at that moment, anything that could relieve the pain, he would do.
“It was Wen Ting. Wen Ting told me to follow you, to design a trap to frame you, to cause you trouble…” Qin Hui said dazedly.
“Your connections are quite wild…linking with the Zhang family and also serving Wen Ting.” Su Jie released Qin Hui, found a bottle of mineral water in the car, and poured it on his face.
The cold water jolted Qin Hui awake. Looking at Su Jie, fear appeared in his eyes.
“Clamping someone’s throat causes mental confusion, compressing the brain’s nerves. At that point, willpower dissolves. But the technique must be precise…too much causes shock or permanent brain damage,” Su Jie said. “But my technique is flawless. Though you’ve had special agent training, under my interrogation, I can make you say whatever I want. Believe me? I also have some hypnosis techniques I haven’t used. Want to try? I guarantee you’ll even confess about wetting your pants as a child.”
Hearing this, Qin Hui looked at Su Jie as if at a demon.
“No need to look at me like that.” Su Jie said. “Now I know you’re Wen Ting’s man…that makes things simpler. What you want is benefit. I can see you’re extremely ambitious, trusting no one, never truly loyal to anyone. But we can work together. What you want, Wen Ting can’t give you…but I can.”
“How do we work together?” Qin Hui forced out.
“You know what kind of person Wen Ting is…from Typhon Training Camp, ruthless and vicious,” Su Jie said. “You think you can benefit from him? He’ll only use you. When he’s done, he might even kill you…because you likely know some of his secrets.”
“You want to negotiate with me?” Qin Hui didn’t commit, his inner thoughts unknown.
“Not negotiate…command.” Su Jie produced a recording pen. Qin Hui’s voice emerged: “It was Wen Ting. Wen Ting told me to follow you…”
“If I give this recording to Wen Ting, do you think he’ll kill you?” Su Jie smiled playfully. Qin Hui was no match for him.
“What do you want?” Qin Hui shuddered, knowing Wen Ting’s ruthless methods. If this recording reached Wen Ting, his fate would be worse than imaginable.
“I said…we work together, mutual benefit.” Su Jie said. “You know what Wen Ting wants…to gradually seize control of Hedao Group. But that’s futile. Think about it: what kind of player is Liu Shi? He already saw through it, which is why he has me dealing with Wen Ting. And he’s forgetting one thing…this is China. The authorities won’t allow such a thing. Besides, even if Wen Ting gained power, he’d purge his supporters…especially someone like you who knows his dark history. History is full of such examples. You’re smart…you must know this.”
“You want Wen Ting’s black materials?” Qin Hui calmed down.
“Yes. And the Feng family’s too.” Su Jie nodded. “There must be transactions between them. I believe you can obtain them. Of course, I won’t let you work for nothing. Liu Shi promised me…if his daughter leaves Wen Ting, he’ll pay a billion. If you help me accomplish this, we split it. Think about it…with all your scheming, you might not make that much money.”
“Liu Shi is really willing to spend. But a billion is nothing to him.” Qin Hui said. “You’ll really split it with me?”
“That depends on whether you believe me,” Su Jie said.
“I do have Wen Ting’s black materials, but I don’t want to give them to you.” Qin Hui said. “I have one condition: you must introduce me to Liu Shi. I’ll deliver the materials to him personally. Let him handle his daughter. I think that’s better.”
“Fine.” Su Jie smiled. “You actually have Wen Ting’s black materials? I underestimated you. With your methods, you couldn’t possibly obtain them…so there’s only one possibility: you’re not Wen Ting’s man. You have another boss behind you, don’t you?”
“I obtained them myself,” Qin Hui said. “You don’t know how much effort it took to get them.”
“No.” Su Jie’s smile curved. “If I’m not mistaken, your backer is Zhang Hongqing. Because in your resistance just now, there were traces of Zhang Hongqing’s martial arts. He trained you for some time. I’ve fought Zhang Hongqing…I know his techniques well. Only Zhang Hongqing could have Wen Ting’s black materials.”
“You…” Qin Hui looked at Su Jie in utter terror, unable to speak.
“The domestic market is huge. The Zhang family couldn’t have no interest. Zhang Hongqing has extensive intelligence networks, commanding the dark world…knowing Wen Ting’s plans and identity isn’t surprising.” Su Jie said. “Naturally, he wants a piece of the pie, and you became his pathfinder.”
“I am indeed Zhang Hongqing’s pawn.” Qin Hui knew concealment was useless…everything had been seen through. He had no secrets before Su Jie. At the same time, regret arose in his heart…why had he provoked such a terrifying person?
Now he fully understood Su Jie’s power.
In his mind, Su Jie had become as terrifying as Wen Ting and Zhang Hongqing.
“But if I really give out the black materials, I’ll ruin Zhang Hongqing’s plans. He won’t let me go. Wen Ting won’t either.” Qin Hui said. “You have to give me a way out.”
“There’s always a way out. With me here, no one can kill you.” Su Jie said. “I’ve fought Zhang Hongqing and Wen Ting…neither could do anything to me. Wen Ting is ten years older than me, Zhang Hongqing thirty years older. In another year or so, what do you think will happen?”
