Chapter 4: Slipped

The relentless scenes left me flushed and tormented. My thoughts flew to Fangfang, still waiting in the car.

Minutes later, my cousin grew still.

“Brother Lin, what’s wrong?” the young w0man asked in surprise.

“Heh heh, it’s been so long—I got overexcited. Probably tired too!” He chuckled, k!ssing her forehead.

I pocketed the phone. He clearly had no intention of returning soon. With evidence secured, it was wiser to leave.

I descended the pipe, returned to the car.

“Xiao Nan, how was it?” Fangfang asked eagerly.

Seeing her tension, I started the engine and drove out of the compound without a word.

His infidelity was undeniable, but would telling her now only cause more pain?

“Xiao Nan, does your cousin really have a w0man outside?” She grasped my hand.

I braked at the roadside, sighing deeply. She was truly pitiable.

“Sister-in-law, he does.”

Her b0dy trembled; I sensed her heart shattering. Tears welled in her eyes.

“Don’t cry. If Uncle finds out, he’ll deal with him!” I said quickly.

“Xiao Nan… may I see the video?” She took a deep breath, blinking up at me.

“I—” I hesitated.

The footage was degrading; showing it might drive her to despair. Yet withholding it now, after my bold promises, felt cowardly.

“I know he has many w0men outside,” she added.

“You can watch, but please don’t grieve too much.”

“Mm.” She nodded.

I played the video. Obscene images and sounds filled the screen.

I squirmed in embarrassment while Fangfang shook, cheeks burning, b00bs heaving. Whatever stormed inside her, it tasted bitter.

“Xiao Nan, let’s go home,” she whispered, turning to the window.

Back home, she said nothing and retreated to the bedroom. Fury overtook me; I phoned my cousin.

“Yeah, what?” came his irritated voice.

“When are you coming back? Be careful out so late.”

I hoped he would return soon—anything to avoid scandal so close to the wedding.

“Another two hours. Did your sister-in-law make you call? Tell her to sleep; no need to wait.”

I hung up, mind racing.

Soon, water ran in the bathroom—Fangfang showering.

The sound stirred me. Two hours alone with her… what if something happened?

Good heavens, what was I thinking!

I shook my head, yet memories of last night unsettled me. Drawn to the bathroom door, I tried the handle almost possessed.

It turned—unlocked.

Fangfang bathing without locking the door?

Heart pounding, I swallowed hard and eased it open a crack—then stopped. If she discovered my intent, how shameful. This was my home; I could not take advantage. Calm—I must stay calm.

Swallowing again, I thought of her as a goddess; possessing her would be fortune from many lifetimes.

A noise inside startled me. Better retreat before she noticed. I fled to my room.

My master bedroom had its own bathroom. Tormented by thoughts of her, I stripped and doused myself in cold water to cool the fire.

The chill steadied me—until Fangfang cried out.

“Sister-in-law!” Wrapped in a towel, I rushed out.

She stood in a pink nightdress, biting her lip, a bruise darkening her knee.

“It hurts!” she whimpered.

“Did you fall?” I caught her, instantly aware how sheer the fabric was—likely nothing beneath—and fragrant with shower gel.

“I… slipped.”

“It’s alright. Let me help you to the room; I have medicated oil.”

Supporting her, my elbow brushed her b00bs; she shivered, cheeks flaming.

I reacted despite myself, the towel awkward as I walked.

I settled her on the bed’s edge and reached for the oil—then the towel slipped.

Fangfang turned away, face scarlet, trembling. “X-Xiao Nan, you—”

Panic seized me. I snatched the towel, desperate to vanish into the floor. It was utterly mortifying—I had never meant this to happen.
