Two hours before 10 PM, I had to get there as soon as possible.
For safety, I needed to scout the location; otherwise, if Zhao Xiaoman tried anything funny, things would be terrible.

I was furious at the sight. Damn it, Zhao Xiaoman was trying to trick me! I immediately returned to the red maple forest, gathered up the straw mat, and ran deeper into the woods.
“Everyone, search! Don’t let any suspicious people escape!” the scarred man shouted, then led his three men in a thorough search. Thankfully, the maple forest was pitch black at night. I quickly circled around to the other side of the woods, got in my car, and sped away from this troublesome place.
“Where are you? I just arrived. I haven’t seen you. I’m at the bus station outside Meilan Lake,” Zhao Xiaoman sent me a WeChat message.
Seeing this message, I was furious. If I had foolishly waited there, those guys would have captured me alive, and I might have even gotten a beating.
“Zhao Xiaoman, you’re ruthless! You dare to play dirty tricks!”

“Your place?” I frowned.

Putting my phone back in my pocket, I sneered inwardly. You think you can play games with me? You’re still too green, little woman.
About an hour later, Zhao Xiaoman indeed sent me her location, and I drove towards her home.
