Chapter 47: The Real World (part 2)

And an unattended 1-star or 2-star Summoner could not defeat a 3-star Summoner.

“Senior, do you want to help Ian?”

“O-f, of course!”

“Then follow me quietly.”

“Yes…”

Dinua, crushed by her charisma, nodded quietly.

As a senior, she thought she had to take the lead, though she had never considered it before.

The two women followed them carefully, ensuring they were not detected by the cadets at the forefront, managed to catch up with them before long. However, it was not yet their turn to act.

“…What is this?”

“Ian!”

“Uh? Stella, Senior Dinua.”

Somehow, all the cadets were lying on the ground, and a blonde girl was holding Ian’s wrist.

Although Anna was a 3-star Summoner, she was still human.

Even a winged human, like a half-angel, followed the physical limitations of a human body. No matter how fast they ran, they could not exceed 60 km/h.

“Catch up!”

A cadet, riding on a huge summon with a few companions, fiercely chased after her.

Even in the real world, birds could fly at speeds of hundreds of kilometers per hour. In this world, where superhumans transcended human limits, there were beings that exceeded the speed of birds as well.

Two cadets, perched atop the huge summon, summoned their own summons. The two creatures, rooted between their wings, aimed their weapons at Anna.

“Uh, huh?”

“Fire cannon, fire!”

“Energy cannon, retaliate!”

Anna could not discern whether they were actual fire cannons or energy cannons, but intense energy gathered and flew toward her.

Spotting the attack, Anna quickly stopped and evaded it with delicate footwork, decelerating and changing direction.

“Hahaha! How do you like the power of our aerial artillery squadron?”

The Summoner laughed loudly, but Anna seized the opportunity. She kicked a loose stone from the ground.

Tuk! Tuk!

The stone ricocheted off nearby trees before hitting the wrist of the laughing cadet.

There were artifacts on his wrist. When they were damaged, the cadet was enveloped in light particles and disappeared. His summons vanished along with him.

The other two Summoners, whose creatures had been shooting energy from their winged perches, raised their hands in surrender, sweating nervously.

“Ha, surrender?”

Leaving the eliminated duo behind, Anna glanced around.

“You did great,” I remarked.

“It doesn’t matter. Master, I almost put you in danger…”

“It’s impressive to see such precise attacks,” I praised.

Anna, tilting her head in confusion, seemed unsure of my meaning. I then ordered her to cut down the surrounding trees.

Although puzzled by the command, Anna complied without hesitation.

“Master, why are we doing this?” she asked.

“Quiet,” I replied, signaling her to stay silent.

After returning her summon to its glyph, I concealed my bracelet and waited for the cadets to arrive.

Before long, dozens of cadets appeared, led by a blonde-haired girl who pointed directly at me.

“Oh ho ho! What is your relationship with Stella Eritz?”

“Stella? Why?”

“Yeah! You suddenly appeared where Stella Eritz disappeared!”

“Hmm, I don’t know.”

As she approached slowly, I noted her strategy. She seemed to believe surrounding me with accusations would prevent defeat.

She clearly did not know who I was. If she did, she would have attacked outright instead of questioning me about Stella.

‘Theresia, are you ready?’ I asked mentally.

[Of course, Master!] came the reply.

The blonde girl stepped forward cautiously. When she reached the location I had prepared, I smiled and raised my hand.

“Are you surrendering? If so, let’s discuss Stella Eritz’s whereabouts—”

“Stella, Stella—you’re so noisy. Are you that close to her? Or do you just enjoy calling her name?”

“W-What are you implying!? How dare you—!”

“Then why do you call Stella by her full name?”

“That’s basic courtesy among nobles…”

The blonde girl, flustered by my words, failed to notice what I was setting in motion.

What I was about to do could not be executed easily unless one was a 4-star Summoner.

“Good.”

“W-Where are you going—?”

[The ashes as the bed and the fire as the blanket.]

“—Attack!”

Hearing Theresia’s voice, the girl quickly ordered an assault, but it was too late.

[This is our last battlefield.]

Whoosh!

Fireworks erupted everywhere.

The battlefield was realized—The Last War—a place where the Order of the Phoenix Knights fell.

Her homeland, the Golden Fields of the Kingdom of Erecium, appeared as fire consumed the surroundings.

[The phoenix flies.]

“What, what is this!?”

“Cough, cough! I-I can’t breathe…!”

“Retreat! Everyone, fall back!”

[Prepare for ashes.]

The battlefield, reduced to nothing but ash, was fully realized.

Get More Chapters on Patreon: From now on, FSM Level 2 will become the CN WN Bundle. The price will remain the same which is $10. Also, the price for the KR WN Bundle will also be decreased to $10 to match this bundle.

With this I have gotten rid of the level system. The reason I am doing this, is because I plan to add more chapters to the $5 Patron tiers. Previously the readers got 2 advance chapters when they became a $5 Patron, but now I’ve increased the chapters they will get to at least 5 chapters and more. So the current updated tier system will work like this:

The Individual Tiers ($5) will give you access to 5 chapters or more.

The Bundle Tiers ($10) will give you access to all the chapters of CN or KR webnovels.

The Supreme Patron ($30) will give you access to all the webnovel chapters on Goblinslate.
