“What is it?” I looked at Zhao Xiaoman with suspicion.
This woman is truly unpredictable. I have no idea what she’s up to. She’s been so nice to me today—is she just being overly solicitous? Is there something fishy going on?
“Manager Lin, actually, we have a common enemy. You know who I’m talking to,” Zhao Xiaoman said with a faint smile.

“Secretary Zhao, how did Manager Sun offend you? What are you planning to do?” I asked hurriedly.

After lunch, I quickly replied to Sun Dan’s WeChat message. Using my alternate WeChat account, I replied to Zhao Xiaoman, telling her it was impossible and warning her not to even consider my involvement, or I’d teach her a lesson.
Having calmed Zhao Xiaoman down, I arrived at the office in the afternoon to find her sighing and clearly in a bad mood.
