At dawn, Tian Fan sat cross-legged alone atop a cliff, inhaling and exhaling in the light of the morning sun. He immersed himself in the comprehension of his own Dao. The mysterious Divine Celestial Heart Sutra was extraordinary, and the Five Elements Method drew upon the essence of heaven and earth, both being supreme cultivation methods. The more Tian Fan delved into them, the more he felt the boundless profundity of the two techniques.
With his current strength, few among the younger generation could rival him. Although he was only at the early stage of Cloud Heaven, surviving the heavenly tribulation had brought monumental changes. His True Qi surged like the Yellow River, and his physical body had reached a level that left many in awe. Even against those at the peak of Cloud Heaven, he could put up a good fight. However, fully mastering the two techniques seemed elusive; perhaps only upon reaching the Immortal Ascension realm would he be able to glimpse their true essence.
“Tian Fan, it’s time to eat!”
Little Yiyi, holding a lollipop in her mouth, ran toward him with an adorable and obedient demeanor. It was clear the treat came from Li Yunhua.
“Hehe, Yiyi, you’re such a good girl.”
Tian Fan stood up, a smile on his face, and lifted Yiyi into his arms, placing her on his shoulders. He then walked down the mountain. Even though he could now fly, he preferred walking unless there was a pressing need.
“Hehe…”
Little Yiyi giggled, her laughter ringing like silver bells.
“Big brother’s back!”
When Tian Fan returned, Minmin was at the doorway playing with Xiao Hua. Seeing him, she cheered joyfully and ran inside to announce his arrival. Xiao Hua, the tiger, lifted its head, glanced at Tian Fan, and then looked gently at the giggling Yiyi perched on his shoulders. The tiger was always gentle with the two little girls but consistently ignored Tian Fan, making him roll his eyes.
“Seriously, you stripey show-off, is this necessary?”
Tian Fan set Yiyi down and addressed Xiao Hua, sprawled lazily on the ground.
“Snort…”
Xiao Hua snorted and turned its large head away.
“You arrogant feline! Believe it or not, I’ll turn you into stew!”
Tian Fan was infuriated and began issuing threats. Xiao Hua immediately turned to glare at him, baring its teeth. Just then, Zi Ying’s crisp voice echoed from inside.
“Little Tian, you’re getting bolder, daring to threaten my Xiao Hua?”
Zi Ying emerged with a playful scowl, followed by Sun Yueying, Li Yunhua, and others.
“Uh… haha, no way! Even if you lent me courage, I wouldn’t dare! I was just joking with Xiao Hua. Right, Xiao Hua? Look how well-behaved you are. How could I ever…”
“Ah! Let go, you stripey menace!”
As Tian Fan tried to pet Xiao Hua’s head, the tiger suddenly bit him, causing everyone around to burst into laughter.
At mealtime, a large table was filled with laughter as everyone gathered cheerfully. Outside, Xiao Hua basked lazily in the sun.
“So, Junior Brother, any progress recently?”
After the meal, Li Yunhua, fanning himself elegantly with a folding fan, inquired casually. Though his scholarly demeanor was refined, his companions found it strangely out of place. As Zi Ying remarked, he resembled a flirtatious thief.
“A little…”
Feeling the gazes of the group, Tian Fan smiled sheepishly.
“How much is ‘a little’?” Zi Ying rested her chin on her hand, her sparkling eyes fixed on Tian Fan.
“‘A little’ means just a little,” Tian Fan chuckled and pinched Zi Ying’s delicate nose.
“Ugh! Get your dirty hands off me!” Zi Ying frowned and slapped his hand away, protesting loudly.
“With only seven days left until the final battle, Junior Brother, you should focus on consolidating your cultivation.”
Di Fu, ever calm and composed, offered his advice.
After the meal, everyone dispersed. Over the following days, Tian Fan sat alone under the cliff each morning and evening, facing the rising sun and the full moon. He meditated silently, seeking insight into himself and the Dao of heaven and earth.
On another mountain peak, Zi Ying played with Xiao Hua and the two little girls. The trio, accompanied by the tiger, painted a serene picture as they frolicked in the forest and under the setting sun. Zi Ying often glanced toward Tian Fan as she lounged on a tree branch, her chin in her hand.
Tian Fan, meanwhile, was extraordinarily calm. His entire spirit seemed to detach from his body, drifting amidst the vast cosmos. He blended so completely with nature that birds mistook him for a piece of driftwood, occasionally pecking at his hair.
Seeing him, Zi Ying’s eyes sparkled mischievously. She suddenly leapt from the branch and ran toward Yiyi and Minmin, her agile figure and flowing hair making her look like a sprite.
Seven days later, the entire Soaring Dragon Sect was abuzz. Today, they would witness a duel between two outstanding individuals. Early risers flocked to the central arena, eager to watch the event unfold.
The three sect leaders descended gracefully from the sky, standing side by side. Nearby stood Li Yunhua, Sun Yueying, Zi Ying, Minmin, Yiyi, and the entire delegation from the Great Sealing Sect. They occupied the prime viewing spot near the central stage.
Before long, a man in golden robes appeared on the horizon, his sharp and cold features drawing excited shrieks from female cultivators.
As expected, the first to arrive was none other than Xiang Yufei, his punctuality fitting his personality. He walked steadily to the central platform, standing with his hands behind his back. His gaze swept past the Great Sealing Sect’s group before looking into the distance.
“As expected, Xiang Yufei arrived first!” someone exclaimed, sparking lively discussions.
“Who do you think will win?”
“I believe Tian Fan from the Great Sealing Sect will triumph. His performance has been astounding!”
“Not necessarily. Xiang Yufei might have the edge since he’s nearly at the peak of Cloud Heaven.”
“Why don’t we place bets?”
The suggestion was met with enthusiasm, and a large space was cleared to set up a makeshift betting area. Most people wagered on Xiang Yufei, while only a few gambled half-heartedly on Tian Fan, largely due to Xiang Yufei’s overwhelming reputation. Even the Flying Sword Sect Master cast a curious glance at the betting table, lost in thought.
“Why isn’t Tian Fan here yet?” Yiyi asked Zi Ying, her small face upturned.
“Hehe, don’t worry. Your Tian Fan will be here soon,” Zi Ying said, playfully touching Yiyi’s nose.
“But can he defeat that man? I heard people say he’s really strong,” Yiyi asked seriously, her concern evident.
“He will. Your Tian Fan will definitely win,” Zi Ying reassured her, squatting down to gently pinch Yiyi’s cheek.
“Really? Big brother will win? That’s wonderful!” Yiyi cheered, her laughter filled with childish delight.
Behind the Fist Emperor Sect, atop a cliff, Tian Fan suddenly opened his eyes. A flash of brilliance shot out as he stood, startling two birds that flew off in panic.
With a confident smile, he glanced down at the sect.
Swish!
His white figure vanished in an instant, leaving behind only a wisp of dust.
Get More Chapters on Patreon: From now on, FSM Level 2 will become the CN WN Bundle. The price will remain the same which is $10. Also, the price for the KR WN Bundle will also be decreased to $10 to match this bundle.
With this I have gotten rid of the level system. The reason I am doing this, is because I plan to add more chapters to the $5 Patron tiers. Previously the readers got 2 advance chapters when they became a $5 Patron, but now I’ve increased the chapters they will get to at least 5 chapters and more. So the current updated tier system will work like this:
The Individual Tiers ($5) will give you access to 5 chapters or more. The Bundle Tiers ($10) will give you access to all the chapters of CN or KR webnovels. The Supreme Patron ($30) will give you access to all the webnovel chapters on Goblinslate.
