When Xue Wu fainted, Shen Xia and the others were terrified.
The first rule in “The Self-Cultivation of Haunted House Employees” clearly states that customer safety must not be compromised.
Now that Xue Wu had collapsed, what would happen? If the boss found out, wouldn’t they be fired?
Thankfully, they had learned first aid!
If they could revive Xue Wu before Zuo Si arrived, everything would be fine!
Shen Xia and the others immediately began performing chest compressions on Xue Wu, striving to bring him back to life in the shortest time possible. In a hazy state, Xue Wu felt someone pressing on his chest. He knew someone was trying to save him and couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. It seemed he had finally escaped that terrifying scene.
As he groggily opened his eyes, he realized he was still in the same horrifying scenario. The four terrifying nurses were still beside him, grinning at him with blood-soaked faces.
“Uh…” Xue Wu couldn’t catch his breath and fainted again.
Seeing this, Shen Xia and the others panicked and immediately resumed their rescue efforts.

In the monitoring room, Zuo Si watched this scene unfold clearly. This was unacceptable; at this rate, they would scare Xue Wu to death. Fainting, reviving, fainting again—after several rounds of this, no one could withstand it.
Hurrying to Operating Room No. 1, Zuo Si picked up Xue Wu and headed outside. At the door, he turned to Shen Xia and the others and said, “If someone faints, don’t try to revive them. You’ll end up causing a tragedy.”
He carried Xue Wu out of the scene and tossed him onto a chair outside the haunted house.
The crowd around them began to stir.
“Hey~ isn’t that the fearless guy from earlier? How did he come out like this?”
“All that bragging, and it turns out he’s just a kid. He was supposed to last an hour, but he fainted before even reaching that.”
“Now there are only two people left inside; I doubt they can make it out standing.”
“That’s not certain. Didn’t you hear? Those are veteran employees from the funeral home; they have guts.”

Zuo Si struggled for a long time before finally waking Xue Wu, but the guy was too scared to open his eyes. Only after truly feeling the crowd around him and the warmth of the sunlight did he slowly open his eyes and let out a long sigh.
“Pay up.” Zuo Si displayed his phone’s QR code. After going through so much trouble to wake Xue Wu, wasn’t it all for the money?
Xue Wu’s face turned pale; he regretted it deeply. Not only had he been scared half to death, but now he had to pay the haunted house owner a thousand yuan. He felt like he wanted to die.
Why did he have to run his mouth and act like a hero? Now, with so many people watching, if he didn’t pay that thousand yuan, where would he put his face?
He quickly pulled out his phone to make the payment and fled in embarrassment.

Hao Meili stood in front of Operating Room No. 2, feeling increasingly that the surroundings looked familiar, but she just couldn’t recall where she had seen them before.
Just as she and Lu Tao were about to unlock the door, they heard a knocking sound.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
It came from inside the door.
The two exchanged glances, puzzled by what was happening.
“Is someone there? Let me out!” a man’s voice called from within.
“Who are you? How did you get in there?” Lu Tao quickly asked.
“I’m the worker who was here last night. I fell asleep and woke up to find the door locked. Please let me out; I’m starving!”
Hao Meili and Lu Tao exchanged a glance and nodded, then opened the door to Operating Room No. 2.
Although the light inside was dim, they could still make out a young man in his twenties, looking quite amiable. This eased Hao Meili and Lu Tao’s worries; it seemed he really was the worker from last night.
“You’re here for the key, right?”
“Yes, yes! Is the key to Operating Room No. 3 in here?” Lu Tao asked eagerly.
“I was here when the boss hid the key yesterday. Just wait a moment; I’ll go get it for you.”
“Thank you so much!” Lu Tao and Hao Meili were overjoyed, not expecting such good luck to easily obtain the key. Next, all they had to do was go to Operating Room No. 3 and retrieve the doll to complete their task.
However, there was nothing in the operating room except for some dilapidated cabinets; where was the scare factor?
The two of them looked up and down at Liu Wenguang, and the more they looked, the more something felt off. Initially, he seemed normal. But gradually, his behavior began to grow increasingly strange…
“Where’s the key… my key?!”
“The key! Where is my key?!”
Liu Wenguang became more and more frantic, pulling out all sorts of bizarre items from the old cabinets and tossing them around. Then he suddenly turned his head to look at Hao Meili and Lu Tao, his eyes inexplicably turning a sickly green.
“You… did you steal my key?”
Liu Wenguang stepped closer to Lu Tao and Hao Meili, his expression terrifying.
“W-we didn’t take your key; we came to find the key!”
Lu Tao and Hao Meili stepped back, their hearts racing as they wondered if he was a renovation worker, a haunted house employee, or perhaps a special effect from the haunted house?
“Oh, so you came to find the key,” Liu Wenguang said with a smile, stopping in his tracks. He extended his hand, and a key appeared in his palm. “Here, take it.”
The key was right in front of them, and both Lu Tao and Hao Meili hesitated over whether to take it or not.
They didn’t hesitate for long.
In the end, it was Hao Meili who stepped forward, slowly walking toward Liu Wenguang. Her gaze was not on the key but fixed on the smiling Liu Wenguang.
When she was just a step away, Hao Meili swallowed hard and lunged for the key in Liu Wenguang’s hand.
At that moment, Liu Wenguang also moved; he raised his arm, causing Hao Meili to grab his arm instead.
Crack!
With a sickening sound, a bloody arm was torn off by Hao Meili. Though her heart was filled with extreme terror, she kept telling herself that it was all fake, that it was all fake! In the end, she managed to hold on to the severed arm, not daring to give Liu Wenguang a second chance to scare her.
Without lingering any longer, Hao Meili and Lu Tao immediately fled from Operating Room No. 2.
After running for a while, they realized Liu Wenguang had not pursued them, and they finally breathed a sigh of relief. The arm they had been holding was gone, and a key lay quietly in the palm of her hand.
“This 5D effect is too realistic; I never thought I could be scared to this extent in my life…” Hao Meili said, still shaken, while Lu Tao gave her a thumbs up. “Director, I’m impressed; I’m really impressed with you today!”
“Enough with the chit-chat; let’s hurry to Operating Room No. 3. We don’t know if there’s a time limit for completing the task.”
After wandering around for a while, they still couldn’t find Xue Wu; it seemed he couldn’t take it anymore and had left. The two could only approach the door of Operating Room No. 3 alone. Looking at the door of the operating room shrouded in shadows, they couldn’t help but feel a chill run down their spines.
Whoosh~
A sudden gust of cold wind blew through the enclosed space, making them shiver as they stepped forward.
“Why?”
A woman’s piercing voice came from within the operating room, filled with deep despair.
