Chapter 61: Falling Behind is Painful (part 2)

“Absolutely.”

“Who…?”

“Many.”

Ian opened his eyes and spoke the names of the families he wanted to destroy.

“The heirs of Eritz family, the Elnes family, the Ariel family, the Therra family.”

“That… that’s the heirs of the Four Great Dukes…the Four Generations!”

Upon hearing Ian’s words, Dinua tilted her head. These were the names of the four great dukes who protected humanity.

Three of them came from families Ian had never even met. To claim a grudge without any prior connection meant he targeted those who had done nothing.

“Yes, that’s correct.”

“The Four Generations… you want me to kill them?”

“Yes. Can you do it?”

“M-Me? I can’t… Besides, those people are 4-star Summoners… How could I…?”

“I could.”

Saying that, Ian pulled out a black dagger from his pocket. It was entirely black, from the blade to the hilt, as though carved from obsidian.

He handed the dagger to her and said, “For now… k!ll Stella first.”

“Stella!?”

How could he say such a thing?

If Ian had changed so drastically, the cause must have been tied to the scroll she had used…

‘As I thought… I shouldn’t have used something given by the demon…’

Regret hit her like a tidal wave. But Dinua knew she had to take responsibility.

Her hands trembled as she raised the dagger and pointed it at Ian.

“You… who are you? Where is Ian…?”

“Senior, what are you saying?”

“You, stay back!”

As she swung the dagger in a panic, Ian’s palm, trying to intercept her, was torn open.

Horrified, Dinua dropped the blade. She hadn’t meant to actually hurt him.

“Ian…! Are you okay!?”

“It hurts.”

Ian licked the blood flowing from his palm, his lips stained crimson as though smeared with lipstick.

“Senior,” he said, smiling broadly.

“I-I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to! I was wrong…!”

“It’s okay, Senior.”

Ian picked up the fallen obsidian blade and placed it in Dinua’s hands. Then he stepped closer to the edge of the blade.

“If you doubt me, st*ab me.”

“W-What?”

“St*ab me to death.”

“How can you say that…?”

“Senior.”

Ian gently guided her hand holding the blade, making sure their eyes met.

“I’m going to k!ll them—for everyone.”

“For… everyone?”

“Yes. For the greater good.”

“What are you talking about?”

“You might not understand now, but if you trust me, you’ll see the truth one day.”

Despite his disturbing words, Dinua found herself unable to push him away.

“Is this really… for everyone?”

“Absolutely.”

Yes, it was for everyone.

The demon within Ian’s eyes thought so and grinned.

In the end, Dinua and Ian headed to Stella’s location—to kill her.

[Ian’s POV]

“Ouch!”

While observing the battle between Anna and the Death Reaper from the sidelines, I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my hand—it tore open as if it had been slashed!

“Master!?”

Anna, who had been locked in a fierce struggle with the monster, turned to look at me, bewildered.

“What happened?”

“Are you okay!?”

“It’s fine… maybe a stray attack from the fight? No… it can’t be…”

As I examined my wound, I felt something licking it.

Having a torn wound licked is excruciating. It hurt so badly that my veins pulsed and tears welled up.

“Ahh!?”

“Master!”

“Just keep fighting!”

Clutching my hand, I realized there was nothing I could do to stop the pain. The cause of my wound wasn’t here—it was outside.

‘What’s happening?’

If I didn’t get out soon, I’d pass out entirely. I turned to Anna, silently urging her to finish the fight.

Anna must have sensed my urgency because she pushed forward, driving the demon back with renewed determination.

“Ha-aah!”

Not long after, Anna defeated the monster and rushed to my side.

“The core, not me!”

“Ah!”

Realizing my intent, Anna pivoted and aimed at the demon’s nucleus.

Though the core was hard as steel, it couldn’t withstand the relentless attacks of a 3-star summon.

With a loud *crack*, the barrier shattered, and my vision returned to normal.

When I came to, I saw Senior Dinua standing over Stella, a dagger in her hand.

“No!”

My voice tore through the air, but I was too late.

Whoosh!

“Ian!”

I glanced down to see the dagger plunged into my stomach. For a moment, I locked eyes with Dinua, who stared back, tears streaming down her face.

‘I’m the one stabbed, so why is she crying…?’

With that bitter thought, I collapsed into unconsciousness.

  1. Yandere went full yandere. MC did change Dinua, she didn’t go on a killing spree but decided to kill MC as he was acting odd and demanding unthinkable from her.

    Thanks for chapter
