Chapter 70: The Tri-Origin Formation

Thousands of years ago, this northern region was a vast, lush grassland brimming with vitality and greenery. However, a duel between two supreme experts at the pinnacle of Immortal Ascension left the once-flourishing plains in ruins. The battle was earth-shattering, causing the entire plain to sink. Since then, no one had dared to step foot in this area, leaving it to become the home of demonic beasts.

Now, the vibrant flowers were gone, the vegetation had withered, and the land was desolate. The soil was a reddish hue, littered with pits, puddles, and swamps—a scene of utter barrenness. Although there were occasional oases, they were insignificant compared to the vast crimson land, like a lone sapling in an endless forest.

Tian Fan walked alone across this reddish-brown wilderness, one hand clasped behind his back. He had learned that one of the top ten young experts of the Sword Immortal Sect might pass through here.

He had left Zi Ying at the inn, planning to retrieve her after the battle was over.

The boundless crimson land was particularly grim and cold, with only dry grass and wild beasts in sight. The emptiness stretched as far as the eye could see, with no sign of human life.

Tian Fan’s pace was unhurried, and his steps were light yet resolute. One step at a time, he ventured deeper into the red land, his hand still resting behind him.

Suddenly, he halted, standing motionless as he gazed into the distance. On the horizon, three small black dots were rapidly approaching.

“They’ve arrived.”

A cold smile appeared on Tian Fan’s lips. His second battle was about to commence. This time, he was determined to go all out and eliminate them completely.

The three black dots on the horizon moved at an incredible speed. As they drew closer, it became evident that the three figures were hovering a hundred feet above the ground, moving steadily through the air without disturbing the wind.

In a matter of moments, the three figures were near, their appearances now distinct. Though their strides were unhurried, their speed was astonishing. In the blink of an eye, they were standing before Tian Fan.

The three stopped ten feet away from him. One of them stepped forward. Dressed in purple, the man appeared to be around twenty-five or twenty-six. His fiery red hair danced in the wind, and though his frame was not tall, it was solid and muscular. His bronze-toned skin reflected the ideal complexion for a man.

“Tian Fan?”

His voice was firm and resonant, like the beat of a great drum, making one’s ears tremble.

“It’s me,” Tian Fan replied, his gaze locked on the red-haired man. He felt no overwhelming pressure from him; this man was weaker than Wu Biheng.

“Haha! We’ve been looking for you, yet you didn’t hide away. You must have a death wish!”

The red-haired man’s gaze bore into Tian Fan, his tone arrogant and domineering.

“I’ve been waiting for you,” Tian Fan said plainly. Though his tone was calm, the killing intent behind his words was immense. “Today, I’ll cut you all down.”

“Haha…”

A tall man with short black hair laughed loudly from behind the red-haired man. His towering frame exuded immense strength, and his piercing eyes carried a sharp, oppressive presence, brimming with aggression. It was clear he was a dominant figure who sought to control everything around him.

He stepped forward to stand beside the red-haired man and said, “The entire Northern Region is searching for you, yet you dare to act so brazenly. You’re truly seeking death. At least you’ve spared us the trouble of hunting you down.”

The third man, dressed in green, also stepped forward. His cold eyes gleamed as he spoke with a chilling tone, “There’s no need for words. We’ll end him here today. The dignity of the Sword Immortal Sect cannot be violated!”

“State your names. Wu Biheng has already fallen. Today, I’ll send the three of you to join him,” Tian Fan said calmly.

“Lu Dongbing,” the red-haired man declared. “It’s only fitting you know the name of the one who will kill you!”

“Tuan Yanqing!” the crew-cut man with black hair sneered arrogantly. “The so-called Son of God? Today, let me see how the blood of the divine descendants is any different!”

“Yuan Yongling!” The last man, clad in green, sneered coldly. “Perhaps you think no one can surpass Wu Biheng, but I can tell you clearly—when the top figure among the Ten Heroes faces the three of us, even he would tread carefully!”

“Enough talk! If you want to fight, then fight!”

Tian Fan shouted coldly, golden light erupting from his body. He charged forward directly, taking on all three opponents at once. His golden palms struck left and right, shaking the void and trembling the ground. The immense power was shocking to behold.

Bang!

The red-haired man was immediately slapped away by Tian Fan. His arms nearly went numb as surging blood energy within him dispelled the overwhelming force. Without it, his arms might have been crippled.

Boom!

The black-haired man, Tuan Yanqing, with his robust physique, was particularly focused on physical cultivation among the trio. His massive fists collided repeatedly with Tian Fan’s strikes. For a time, neither side had the upper hand, and his physical strength even exceeded that of Wu Biheng.

But it was futile. Tian Fan’s physique was unparalleled, towering over all. His right fist radiated golden brilliance, seemingly tearing through the void.

“Pfft…”

The immense force ultimately split Tuan Yanqing’s palm open, blood gushing out. Tian Fan extended his right foot and sent him flying with a fierce kick.

Yuan Yongling retreated decisively, sneering at Tian Fan. “Indeed, you’re strong. I’m starting to believe you are the Son of God. But so what? In this godless era, your fate is destined to be a tragedy!”

The other two shared the sentiment. Lu Dongbing mocked, “The so-called Son of God? Ha! You’re nothing more than a laughingstock. After today, this world will no longer have your presence!”

“Form the Tri-Origin Formation!”

Tuan Yanqing acted swiftly, sneering as he and the others spread out, surrounding Tian Fan.

“What is this?!”

Tian Fan was taken aback, his brows furrowing deeply. The positions of the three men were peculiar, subtly corresponding to the Kan, Li, and Zhen trigrams of the legendary Eight Trigrams.

The trio occupied distinct positions, with black, red, and green divine lights radiating from them. At this moment, the three seemed connected, forming a mysterious bridge. This area transformed into an entirely different battlefield, cutting Tian Fan off from the heavens and earth with a mysterious power.

“Heh, our individual strength might not be enough to kill you, but together, even someone at the Cloud Heaven pinnacle would not scare us!”

Yuan Yongling sneered, trapping Tian Fan in this confined space. His expression was icy as he strode forward.

“Attack!”

Tuan Yanqing roared, enveloped entirely in black divine light. He charged ahead, a black, sword-like object appearing in his hand. It had no physical form, composed entirely of black demonic light. Wisps of dark brilliance drifted from it, exuding an aura of terror. Its appearance caused the temperature to plummet drastically, as though standing beneath a ten-thousand-foot snow-capped mountain. The weapon was a deathly demonic blade, seemingly forged in the depths of hell.

Clang!

From another direction, Lu Dongbing held a crimson blade, also intangible but raising the surrounding temperature sharply. The contrast between the icy cold of Tuan Yanqing’s blade and the fiery heat of Lu Dongbing’s created a surreal battlefield of ice and fire.

Above, Yuan Yongling summoned a great bell over his head. Instead of charging in, he hovered in midair, sneering coldly as he ascended.

Tian Fan found himself in a dire predicament. Lu Dongbing and Tuan Yanqing’s intangible sword and blade were impossible to shatter, yet their power was overwhelming. Simultaneously, he kept an eye on Yuan Yongling above, sensing that the true danger lay there…
