Chapter 81: Overpowering Execution

Lu Hun was slain. Many cultivators shuddered in fear. He had been just one step away from stepping into the Primordial Unity realm, yet he was killed by someone who had only entered the early Cloud Heaven stage less than three months ago. This filled them with deep reverence.

Boom!

Suddenly, divine radiance surged into the sky. Within Tianyun City, a massive demonic saber imprint emerged on the ground, trapping Tian Fan within. Murderous intent surged wildly, accompanied by occasional flashes of crimson lightning, an eerie and ominous sight.

“Heh heh…”

A chilling laugh echoed ahead. A young man in blue robes appeared, a sinister smirk playing on his lips—it was none other than Huangpu Han of the Huangpu family.

“Huangpu Han, what are you trying to do?”

Tian Fan eyed Huangpu Han coldly, his guard up.

“Fellow cultivators, I am Huangpu Han of the Huangpu family!” Ignoring Tian Fan’s question, Huangpu Han instead cupped his fists toward the distant cultivators and announced loudly,

“This fiend first slaughtered the disciples and elders of the Yin-Yang Sect, then massacred nine prodigies of the Sword Immortal Sect. Now, he has even slain Brother Lu Hun! Such a devil must be eliminated! I have used the ‘Crimson Cloud Killing Formation’ to trap him—let us join forces and exterminate this villain!”

“Hmph, Huangpu Han, I must say, you are the most shameless person I’ve ever met. You even surpass Yin Shitian of the Yin-Yang Sect!”

Standing within the Crimson Cloud Killing Formation, Tian Fan showed no signs of concern. He gazed at Huangpu Han with undisguised contempt.

The gathered cultivators remained motionless. They weren’t fools—Tian Fan’s overwhelming might when he had slain Lu Hun still lingered vividly in their minds. That earth-shattering power had been awe-inspiring, beyond anything they could handle. Although Tian Fan was now gravely injured, there was an old saying: “A starved camel is still bigger than a horse.” They weren’t about to risk their lives over this.

“Fellow cultivators, this fiend is ruthless and unscrupulous. If we allow him to grow stronger, the world will be plunged into darkness and chaos, with rivers of bl00d flowing everywhere!”

At that moment, a noble-dressed man stepped forward from the crowd, gently waving a folding fan. He glared at Tian Fan with a sinister expression and declared,

“For the peace of the world, the Yin-Yang Sect has decided—whoever slays this devil will receive one of the forbidden techniques from the Yin-Yang Secret Manual!”

Yin Shitian had arrived. Ever since his failure to subdue the old zombie and the loss of the Yin-Yang Sword, he had been consumed by the desire to kill Tian Fan.

Many cultivators showed signs of temptation. The crowd buzzed with whispers—one of the Yin-Yang Secret Manual’s forbidden techniques! That was an unparalleled divine ability, something that could benefit them for a lifetime.

“In that case, the Huangpu family has decided—whoever beheads this devil may come to our clan and cultivate for one year!”

Another voice rang out. Huangpu Han, his face full of righteousness, cupped his fists toward the crowd.

“Wow…”

The crowd erupted in shock. The Huangpu family was one of the four great ancient martial families. Cultivating there for a year was worth a century of arduous training elsewhere.

“Hmph, justice speaks for itself. I have nothing more to say. But know this—whoever dares to make a move today will receive a personal visit from me in the future!”

Tian Fan swept his gaze across the crowd, his voice calm yet firm. Wherever his eyes landed, cultivators instinctively looked away, not daring to meet his gaze.

“Hmph, even on the brink of death, you still dare to threaten everyone? You deserve to die!”

From within the crowd, a young man stepped forward, wielding a long saber. He declared, “I am Huang Hao of the Divine Wind Hall. I cannot bear to watch this fiend bring disaster to the world. I shall do my part for the greater good!”

The young man glared at Tian Fan, his face filled with righteous indignation, as if he were the embodiment of justice.

“Brother Huang Hao, you are truly righteous and noble! As the future successor of the Divine Wind Hall, your concern for the world is admirable and worthy of respect!”

Huangpu Han cupped his fists toward Huang Hao, making the latter visibly thrilled. Gaining the approval of a direct descendant of an ancient martial family was an honor worth celebrating.

“I, too, am willing to do my part and rid the world of this menace!”

Another young man in a long coat stepped forward. He was the young master of the Mirage Cloud Cavern, holding a treasured sword as he spoke with conviction.

“I’ll join too…”

“Count me in…”

Before long, many people stepped forward, claiming to be on a crusade against demons. However, everyone here knew the truth—they were merely after the rewards offered by the Yin-Yang Sect and the Huangpu Family.

Many people advanced, their weapons aimed at Tian Fan, who was trapped within the killing formation.

Boom!

Within the Crimson Cloud Killing Formation, a finger-thick stream of murderous Qi solidified, piercing through the sky. The land grew even more desolate, covered in cracks and debris.

Tian Fan raised his hand, golden light blazing like fire. With a single slap, he sent the attack shattering into nothingness, distorting the void as if it were nothing more than a sheet of paper.

“Divine Wind Hall, Mirage Cloud Cavern, Mystic Shadow Pavilion—have I ever wronged you? Why are you getting involved?” Tian Fan questioned coldly as he looked at the figures who had stepped forward from the crowd.

“Hmph! You have committed countless evils and are addicted to killing. We are merely assisting the Sword Immortal Sect and the Huangpu Family—what’s wrong with that?”

A man from Divine Wind Hall spoke, pointing his long blade at Tian Fan.

“Countless evils? Merciless slaughter? All I did was refuse to join the Sword Immortal Sect, and they issued a Demon Extermination Decree against me. Hah! Is that what you call ‘committing countless evils’?”

Tian Fan sneered.

“First, you killed more than twenty experts from the Yin-Yang Sect. Then, you slaughtered the ten elites of the Sword Immortal Sect. Isn’t that enough?”

The young man from Divine Wind Hall spoke coldly. He wore a blue robe and had an elegant appearance.

“Heh, you sure know how to twist the truth. Isn’t it all just for the benefits promised by the Yin-Yang Sect and the Huangpu Family? Why pretend to be righteous?”

Tian Fan scanned the crowd coldly. None of them dared to meet his gaze, clearly guilty of their own hypocrisy.

“There’s no need to talk to this devil. Kill him!”

Yin Shitian shouted coldly. If anyone here wanted Tian Fan dead the most, it was undoubtedly him. A crescent-shaped wheel appeared in his hand, emanating rolling demonic clouds. A single brush of its power reduced a distant tree to a pool of sludge. In just a few months, he had reached the Cloud Heaven Realm—truly worthy of being the beloved youngest son of the Yin-Yang Sect’s master, with extraordinary talent.

“Kill!”

Many cultivators roared, their weapons radiating divine brilliance as they mercilessly struck toward Tian Fan. None of these people were weak; they were all young experts at the Cloud Heaven Realm.

“Hmph!”

Tian Fan snorted coldly, unafraid. A dazzling golden radiance erupted around him as the golden “卍” seal trembled through space and time, exuding overwhelming dominance. He was fully protected within it as he moved like lightning, charging toward one of the men who had stepped into the killing formation.

At this moment, eight powerful cultivators had entered the Crimson Cloud Killing Formation, all attacking Tian Fan at once. Not a single one of them was below the Cloud Heaven Realm.

Tian Fan possessed a unique physique, and with the powerful and mysterious Divine Celestial Heart Sutra and the Five Elements Method, he could fight experts at the peak of the Cloud Heaven Realm despite only being at its early stage. However, he was severely injured, and now facing so many opponents of the same level, the pressure was immense. Even worse, he was trapped inside a killing formation, with a peak Cloud Heaven Realm cultivator controlling it from outside—an extremely dangerous situation.

Yet, he did not panic. Instead, he launched himself forward in a deadly assault. Countless ancient silver characters materialized around him, rotating ceaselessly. A massive golden palm struck outward, stirring up violent gusts.

Outside the formation, the onlookers were aghast. Such terrifying physical power was simply unimaginable—practically unstoppable! The man from Divine Wind Hall swung his long blade in an attack, but as soon as it made contact, his treasured weapon shattered inch by inch. A crack split open across his tiger’s mouth, and bl00d flowed from the wound.

Whoosh…

Tian Fan unleashed the Divine Cloud Steps, moving at an almost inconceivable speed. In an instant, he appeared beside the man, his face devoid of emotion. A golden fist slammed down, sealing off the space around his target, rendering him completely immobile.

Splurt!

With overwhelming pressure and terrifying strength, the man was crushed into a bl00dy pulp on the spot—without even managing to let out a scream…
