Chapter 127: The Junior and the Senior

I didn’t know who the person was aiming at, but instinctively, I thought it was targeting Tang Shuyao and Qin Mengdie.

Sister Lin and I wouldn’t attract such a deadly enemy, but Tang Shuyao and Qin Mengdie, as members of the Tang and Qin families, might.

Although the Four Great Families of the capital were highly prestigious in Ch!na, they still had many opposing organizations. After all, not everyone feared the influence of these families.

Even the head of the most prominent family among the Four Great Families had been assassinated, let alone two young heiresses.

I immediately pushed Sister Lin aside. Although I pushed against her chest, I felt nothing at all. It seemed I would need to find a time to help her enhance her figure.

“Get down!” I shouted at Qin Mengdie and Tang Shuyao, but they didn’t react. Instead, they looked at me in confusion.

“Sh!t!” I cursed under my breath and lunged toward them. In this situation, I couldn’t care about propriety anymore.

“What are you doing?!” Tang Shuyao panicked and stepped back, but I still managed to take her down to the ground.

The two beauties ended up beneath me, and at the same time, a bullet whizzed past my back. Although there was still some distance, cold sweat broke out all over me.

A sniper rifle’s power was leagues ahead of an ordinary handgun. The last time Zhao Ziguang almost killed me with one shot, I learned how deadly they could be. If this bullet had hit me, I’d have been done for.

“You… you pervert! Take your hands off me right now!” Tang Shuyao’s angry shout snapped me back to reality.

Looking down, I froze. Crap! My hand had landed on her chest. No… wait! Why did my other hand feel just as soft? No way…

I swallowed hard. My other hand wasn’t on Qin Mengdie’s chest, but it was caught in that… valley.

Just as I was about to explain, Qin Mengdie slapped me across the face.

Her face flushed red, but she still glared at me furiously. Quickly, I retracted both hands, got up, and helped Tang Shuyao to her feet.

Although Tang Shuyao wasn’t as aggressive as Qin Mengdie, she still looked at me with disdain. “I didn’t think you were this kind of person!”

“No, wait… let me explain!” I tried to explain, but Qin Mengdie, who had barely interacted with me before, snorted coldly and turned to leave.

I glanced up at the floor above where the shooter had been, but the person was already gone. Missing a shot, they left immediately to avoid exposure—classic professional assassin behavior.

Who on earth had Qin Mengdie and Tang Shuyao offended?

Tang Shuyao was about to leave, but I quickly grabbed her. If this misunderstanding wasn’t cleared up, it would be incredibly awkward the next time we met.

“Miss Tang, please stop and listen to my explanation!”

Tang Shuyao turned back angrily. “What’s there to explain? And don’t call me ‘Miss.’ You’re the one who’s a ‘Miss,’ and your whole family is too!” This girl was still holding a grudge about that?

I took a deep breath and looked at her seriously. “Tang Shuyao, you should know what kind of person I, Xia Tian, am. Please calm down and hear me out!”

“We’re not that close. How would I know what kind of person you are?” Tang Shuyao retorted, though she didn’t seem inclined to leave anymore.

I let go of her and said, “Someone was trying to harm you and Qin Mengdie just now. That’s why I acted that way.”

“There are only four of us here. I think the person trying to harm Mengdie and me is you!” she snapped irritably.

I frowned and said, “We should be able to find proof. Come with me.” I walked a few steps forward, looking for the bullet’s landing spot, and soon found a small hole in the ground.

Pointing to the hole, I said, “This is where the bullet hit. If you don’t believe me, you can check it yourself.”

“Really?” Tang Shuyao hesitated but came over. After seeing the bullet hole, she still doubted me. “It could’ve been caused by something else.”

“Damn it!” I cursed under my breath, channeling True Qi into my fist and punching the ground to create a small crater.

“You… are you even human?!” Tang Shuyao stared at me in shock.

Ignoring her, I retrieved the bullet from the crater and showed it to her. “Do you believe me now? You’re like a dog biting Lu Dongbin—not recognizing a good person’s intentions!” I stood up after speaking.

Seeing my anger and the evidence, Tang Shuyao felt a bit embarrassed. “I’m sorry. I’ll explain things to Mengdie. I’m leaving now!” She then hurried after Qin Mengdie.

Just as I was about to return to the dormitory, I suddenly remembered…

Crap! Damn it, Sister Lin was still lying on the ground!

I quickly went over to her, feeling guilty. “Sister Lin, I’m so sorry!”

“You still know how to come back? Weren’t you busy chasing after girls? I called you so many times, and you ignored me! Ouch…” Sister Lin winced and rubbed her waist.

“What’s wrong, Sister Lin?” I asked, concerned.

“I twisted my waist,” she replied, grimacing.

I helped her up slowly. “Let me massage it. It might help.”

“Well, at least you have some decency left,” she muttered irritably.

I gave a sheepish laugh and began massaging her waist, channeling True Qi bit by bit. Soon, she was completely fine.

“All better!” I said with a smile.

“Really?” She seemed doubtful.

“Try standing up!” I encouraged her. Although hesitant, she stood up and moved around. Realizing her waist no longer hurt, she exclaimed, “Xia Tian, I didn’t know you were this capable!”

“Well, who’s my sister, after all?” I joked, secretly relieved she hadn’t seen me punching the ground earlier. That would’ve been tough to explain.

“By the way, little brother…” She glanced around, then whispered, “Can you make my ch*est bigger?”

Hearing that, I felt my nose itch as if something warm was about to gush out.

“Uh… maybe you should ask your boyfriend to massage it more,” I joked, trying to deflect. Sister Lin was undeniably beautiful. Except for her less-than-full figure, everything else about her was nearly perfect. Her sudden request left me feeling a bit flustered.

“Wow, look at that beauty over there!” A lecherous voice came from a distance.

Turning around, I saw a group of people staggering toward us.

The leader glanced at me and sneered, “Hey, kid, the junior belongs to the senior, and so does the senior. Now scram, got it?”

They reeked of alcohol. Not wanting to bother with them, I pulled Sister Lin and started to walk away.

“Damn it! That kid’s ignoring his senior brothers! Get him!” The leader slurred, waving his hand as the group stumbled toward us.
