Chapter 128: Do You Know Whose Person I Am?

“Sister Lin, you go first!” Because of what just happened, I didn’t exert too much force this time.

Sister Lin looked at me and said, “Can you handle this alone?”

“No problem, just don’t be a burden to me by staying here!” Hearing this, Sister Lin nodded and quickly ran away.

When the group saw Sister Lin running, they stopped chasing. After all, they were drunk and didn’t have much energy.

The drunkard leading the group pointed at me and said, “Kid, you dare let that chick escape? Do you know whose person I am?”

I smiled faintly and replied, “I really don’t know. If there’s nothing else, senior, I’ll be on my way.”

“No way you’re leaving!” Just as I turned around, the drunkard grabbed my shirt.

I had no intention of arguing with a group of drunkards, so I turned back and said to him, “Senior, you’re drunk. Go back and rest!”

“Do you know whose person I am?” The drunkard’s face was full of arrogance, but I had no interest in entertaining him.

Feeling a bit impatient, I said, “I really don’t know whose person you are! Is being kept by someone so impressive?”

“Kid, you’re so cocky! I’m backed by the second young master of the Zhao family! The Zhao family! Do you know them?” the drunkard said smugly.

Why does this always end up connected to that fool Zhao Gao? Initially, I didn’t want to hit him, but since he’s tied to Zhao Gao, I can’t let this slide—it’d be a disservice to the audience.

I looked at him and said with a smile, “Oh, so you’re from the Zhao family?”

“Scared now?” The drunkard looked at me triumphantly and said, “Let me tell you, bring that chick back here right now, or don’t even think about surviving at Shenghua!”

Slap!

I gave the drunkard a hard slap across the face. I just couldn’t understand why Zhao Gao would keep such a useless person.

“You—you dare hit me? Do you know whose person I am?” The drunkard was shocked that I actually hit him.

“Zhao Gao’s mistress, right? You already said that,” I replied impatiently.

The drunkard pointed at me and said, “Since you know I’m connected to the second young master of the Zhao family, how dare you hit me?” Then, he turned to the rest of the group and shouted, “Brothers, get him!”

“Oh? You want to fight?” I looked at them disdainfully.

Drunk people naturally grow bolder. My words didn’t intimidate them at all. This time, my attempt at showing off didn’t work.

“Ah! Ow! Oof! Ouch!” In a chaotic mess of yells, these weaklings with a combat power of five were quickly knocked down. However, their collective groans were oddly unsettling to hear.

‘Sigh, it seems our countrymen need better practice.‘ Look at those actresses from certain islands; even if there’s no real feeling, their sounds are mesmerizing.

Now only the drunkard was left, frozen in place. As I walked towards him, he stumbled and fell to the ground, sobering up a bit.

“Don’t come near me! Do you know whose person I am?” Even now, he tried to use Zhao Gao to suppress me. Doesn’t he realize I hate Zhao Gao?

Annoyed, I replied, “I know, you’ve said it several times—Zhao Gao! The eunuch from the Qin Dynasty who pointed to a deer and called it a horse!”

“How dare you insult Young Master Zhao like that!” The drunkard seemed loyal to Zhao Gao—no idea how much that loyalty cost.

“Will you lie down yourself, or should I help you?” I asked, smirking.

The drunkard shuffled backward and said, “I’m one of Young Master Zhao’s people! Don’t you dare touch me!”

“Relax, I’m not after your backside!” I cursed impatiently and kicked the drunkard unconscious.

I stripped their clothes, leaving only their underwear, and tied them up in pairs using their own clothing. They looked oddly… intimate.

After dealing with them, I left without a trace, concealing my merit and fame.

Still worried about Sister Lin, I headed toward the women’s dormitory.

As I approached, I called her. “Hey, Sister Lin, are you alright?”

Sister Lin’s voice was emotional as she replied, “Of course I’m fine! But you scared me to death!”

“Good to hear. I’ll hang up now!” Phone charges are expensive with roaming. Since coming to the capital, I’ve been using my old phone and SIM card in case Zhang Yu and the others wanted to contact me.

“Wait! Where are you now?” Sister Lin asked urgently.

“Outside your dormitory. Why?” I replied, puzzled.

“I have something to give you!” Sister Lin said with a laugh.

Something to give me? Curious, I said, “I’m downstairs. Hurry up; it’s getting late, and the lights will go out soon.”

“Wait there; I’ll be right down.” With that, Sister Lin hung up.

While waiting downstairs, I noticed something strange.

There were many cars parked outside, most of them clearly expensive. I didn’t recognize all the models, but I knew the logos—BMW, Mercedes… and others I couldn’t identify. They didn’t look cheap.

Even stranger, all the cars had their doors open, facing the dormitory, with bottles of water on their roofs. What did that mean?

A girl suddenly ran out of the dormitory. Thinking it was Sister Lin, I got up to greet her, but I realized her figure didn’t match Sister Lin’s. So, I crouched back down.

The girl ran to a car I didn’t recognize, took the water bottle off the roof, got in, and closed the door. Shortly after, the car drove away.

While waiting for Sister Lin, I saw several girls come down and do the same thing.

What the hell was going on? Forget it, I’ll just wait for Sister Lin.

After a while, Sister Lin finally came down. Smiling, she said, “Sorry to keep you waiting!”

“You know you made me wait a long time? My legs are numb!” I pretended to stretch exaggeratedly.

Sister Lin slapped my arm playfully. “Can’t you be nicer to me? Don’t forget, I’m a beautiful woman!”

“Sorry, it’s modern society—gender equality!” I shrugged, feigning helplessness.

“Enough joking around. Here, see what I brought you!” She handed me something.

“What’s this?” I asked, puzzled, looking at the stringed yellow paper.

Sister Lin sighed. “It’s a safety charm. Don’t you know?”

“Oh…” I replied absentmindedly, not expecting it to look like this.

Sister Lin tied the charm around my neck and said, “I got this from the Confucius Temple a while ago. I forgot to give it to you. I thought I wouldn’t see you again, but now you’re my junior!”

As if remembering something, she pulled out another charm from her pocket and said, “This one’s for Mei’er. Give it to her next time you see her.”

“I’ll thank you on Mei’er’s behalf,” I said with a smile.

Just then, my phone rang. Looking at the screen, I saw it was Zhang Yu.
