Chapter 17: Sister-in-law’s Friend

“How can you not hold back? Or should I make your best friend wait a little longer at the train station?” I grinned, my palm boldly climbing onto Fangfang’s slender wa!st.

“Stop fooling around. She’s come all this way; don’t keep her waiting too long.” Fangfang hurriedly said.

Teasing Fangfang a little in the early morning wasn’t bad at all, but I wouldn’t really cross the line. After all, today my task was to take good care of her best friend and show them around Changsha.

The car soon reached the train station. Fangfang and I waited at the exit. After about twenty minutes, a tall beauty emerged.

This tall beauty stood around 1.7 meters, with shoulder-length short hair and a beauty mark on her lip. She wore a flowing Bohemian maxi dress, graceful and elegant, her figure exceptionally fine.

“Lulu!” Fangfang called out excitedly, waving both arms. I, too, looked at this tall beauty in surprise.

Good heavens, I hadn’t expected Fangfang’s best friend to be this stunning—and her name was pleasant too.

“Fangfang!” The tall beauty searched through the crowd. The moment she spotted Fangfang, she immediately pulled her suitcase and joged over.

Tsk tsk, not only beautiful, but as she ran, the full curves of her b00bs swayed enticingly—truly voluptuous and alluring. Could she be a model?

I silently wondered, standing beside Fangfang while quietly sizing up her best friend.

“Let me introduce you. This is Lin Nan, my fiancé’s younger cousin,” Fangfang said with a wide smile before continuing, “Xiao Nan, this is He Lulu. We shared a dorm in university; she’s my very best friend.”

“Hello.”

“Hello.”

He Lulu and I shook hands. She looked me up and down with open curiosity.

“Where’s your boyfriend?” Fangfang asked, completely missing the look in He Lulu’s eyes.

“We broke up a couple of days ago. This lady isn’t going to hang herself on one tree,” He Lulu said with a pout, then laughed.

Wow, this w0man was seriously bold—there was definitely a tough, straightforward edge to her.

“Lulu, let’s put the luggage in the trunk first,” I said calmly with a faint smile. The station was crowded; better to leave quickly.

“Mm.” Fangfang and He Lulu nodded together.

Soon, I placed He Lulu’s suitcase in the trunk and returned to the driver’s seat.

Since Fangfang and He Lulu hadn’t seen each other in ages, they had plenty to talk about. As I, of course, arranged the day’s itinerary: first asking whether He Lulu had booked a hotel, then heading toward a famous nearby snack street.

“A Porsche Cayenne—tsk tsk, I really couldn’t tell, Brother Nan, you must be loaded,” He Lulu suddenly turned the topic to me.

Through the rear-view mirror I closely observed the two beauties. He Lulu already knew I was married and older, so she switched to calling me “Brother Nan.” Fangfang, because she was marrying my older cousin and thus higher in family rank, still called me Xiao Nan.

“It’s my uncle’s car,” I replied with an awkward smile.

“Where do you work, Brother Nan?” He Lulu seemed determined to get to the bottom of everything, showing great interest in me.

“Lulu, Xiao Nan works in Shanghai. A few days ago my fiancé and I even stayed at his place,” Fangfang quickly explained.

“Wow, owning property in Shanghai is really something. They say houses in the city center start at a hundred thousand per square meter, right, Brother Nan?” He Lulu exclaimed, then continued.

“Pretty much. Mine’s in Xujiahui—yes, that price,” I smiled and kept driving.

“I’m actually planning to look for work in Shanghai soon. Let’s add each other on WeChat,” He Lulu said lightly.

Damn, asking for my WeChat the first time we meet? Fangfang’s best friend was awfully bold. I’d just heard she’d broken up—could she be feeling especially lonely these past couple of days?

With a silent question mark in my mind, I opened WeChat on my phone. He Lulu scanned my code and added me.

“Sister-in-law, let’s park up ahead and stroll through this snack street. We’ll have lunch here,” I quickly changed the topic.

“Mm.” Fangfang nodded slightly.

Once the car stopped, the three of us got out and instantly drew many passers-by’s eyes. Not only were Fangfang and He Lulu strikingly beautiful, but my outfit that day was sharp too—it looked like a handsome guy taking two beauties on an outing.

Fangfang and He Lulu walked ahead while I followed behind, watching their rounded a$$ sway with each step. I secretly compared them: Fangfang’s was fuller and rounder, while He Lulu’s most lethal weapon was that slender wa!st. Of course, since she wore a long dress, those plump fair legs flashed tantalizingly in and out of view.

This was one of Changsha’s famous snack streets. Besides food, there were many souvenirs; the whole street somewhat resembled Qibao Old Street in Shanghai. Naturally, strolling it with two beauties made me very happy.

At noon we settled in an upscale restaurant, and I began ordering. As the host, I certainly wouldn’t skimp.

“Lulu, order whatever you like—I’m not short on cash,” I said with an easy smile.

“Alright! I knew Brother Nan was generous; after all, you’re a Shanghai big shot,” He Lulu beamed, eagerly grabbing the menu and ordering.

“Xiao Nan, it’s too much to make you pay,” Fangfang whispered in my ear.

“It’s fine, Sister-in-law. Before we left, Uncle gave me ten thousand yuan—plenty for today,” I replied.

Hearing this, Fangfang nodded. Because we sat close, my hand brushed her smooth thigh under the table, making her blush and clamp her legs together.

“Stop that,” Fangfang murmured.

“Done—just these dishes. Please serve them quickly!” He Lulu, oblivious to what was between Fangfang and me, told the waiter.

“Right away. Please wait a moment,” the waiter nodded, took the menu, and left.

“Brother Nan, what does your company do? What’s your position?” He Lulu sipped her tea and looked at me.

“Daifen brand company. I’m a sales supervisor,” I answered calmly.

“Wow, Brother Nan, you’re amazing—a company leader!” He Lulu praised, giving me a meaningful glance.

From He Lulu’s words and behavior, I clearly sensed Fangfang seemed a little displeased. Then, suddenly, I felt someone kick my calf lightly.

I frowned, glanced under the table, and was startled: He Lulu had slipped off her shoe, and her black-stocking-clad foot was rubbing against my calf.

No way—could He Lulu really be interested in me?

I was stunned. Lifting my eyes to her again, she playfully stuck out her t0ngue at me while Fangfang was focused on her phone.
