Chapter 20: Pranks Over

“You really like me?” I halted, turning to He Lulu.

“Mmm.” He Lulu nodded lightly.

With her affirmation, all hesitation vanished. I pushed He Lulu onto the bed and pressed my b0dy over hers.

The sudden weight made He Lulu tense; her b00bs rose and fell dramatically. I k!ssed her urgently, impatiently lifting her $kirt, my hands reaching the fullness beneath.

“Nan… Brother Nan, be gentle with me,” He Lulu murmured shyly, cheeks flushed crimson.

The arrow was on the string; it had to fly. Since He Lulu had provoked me so, how could I show mercy?

Minutes later, we were finally bare to each other. What followed carried us across the bed, the sofa, even the bathroom.

After more than half an hour, I released with a low roar, and He Lulu lay spent in my arms.

“Brother Nan, you were so bad just now!” He Lulu pouted, giving me a reproachful glance.

Of course I was—she had begged for mercy, yet I hadn’t stopped.

“And did you like it?” I grinned.

“I did. I like it when Brother Nan treats me like that,” He Lulu answered, bashful.

“Good. But you must promise no one else hears of this.” I nodded slightly.

“Brother Nan, I did this willingly. Being with you makes me happy—I’d never tell anyone,” He Lulu assured me earnestly.

Watching her walk unsteadily to the bathroom, I lit a cigarette, feeling a long-absent surge of passion and triumphant satisfaction.

Yet the thought followed: this felt like a betrayal of my wife. Still, who could guarantee that, with her constant overseas trips, she had never once strayed?

The guilt lingered, but when He Lulu returned, desire stirred again.

I pulled her close and pinned her beneath me once more.

“Nan… Brother Nan, again?” He Lulu asked in startled disbelief, a trace of fear in her eyes.

“Don’t you like it?” I smiled.

It was past midnight when we left the hotel. I told Lulu I couldn’t stay the night—I had to go home. She obediently agreed, knowing I had to join the groom’s party early to fetch the bride. Staying would mean another few rounds, and truthfully, this trip back to Changsha suddenly felt worthwhile.

Early next morning, I drove to my cousin’s villa. More than a dozen luxury sports cars lined up for the wedding procession—each clearly exorbitant. As part of the welcoming party, I followed the convoy to Fangfang’s neighborhood.

Firecrackers exploded, the atmosphere jubilant. My wife called about the red envelope; though this was our third for my cousin’s weddings, she insisted on saving face with at least ten thousand yuan.

“Jiahao, hurry and carry the bride!”

“Wow, the bride is stunning!”

“Tsk tsk—not only beautiful, but so young!”

Amid the cheers, I watched my cousin carry Fangfang—radiant in her white wedding gown—down the stairs. She managed a strained smile. When her eyes accidentally met mine, a lifetime seemed to pass in that single glance.

“Brother Nan!”

At that call, my gaze shifted. He Lulu, dressed as a bridesmaid in pure white, waved at me with a smile. I nodded, signaling her to get into one of the trailing cars.

“Damn, even the bridesmaid is this pretty. We’ve got to get her drunk later.”

“Heh heh, drunk enough and we can cop a feel.”

“Behave yourselves!”

The wedding convoy rolled out—my cousin’s car in front, a formidable line of sports cars behind. Driving at the rear, I couldn’t help feeling a touch of melancholy.

The noon banquet was lively. Fangfang had changed into a crimson qipao. After the tea ceremony came endless toasts table by table; each elder bestowed a red envelope.

My cousin’s villa was palatial, easily accommodating over thirty tables. Skipping the hotel was pure ostentation—proof of wealth and status. Relatives and friends filled the halls with joyous noise.

“Little brother-in-law.” Fangfang approached me, wine glass in hand.

“Sister-in-law, here—this is from Yanzi and me.” I stood quickly, pressing the red envelope into her hand.

“Ha! Little Nan’s been a great help these past days. Bottoms up with your brother!” My cousin laughed heartily, clinking glasses and draining his in one go.

I followed suit.

He Lulu, trailing Fangfang, smiled and remarked that my tolerance was impressive, then challenged me to another drink.

After several rounds, I stepped aside for a smoke while Fangfang and my cousin continued their toasts.

“Don’t forget the bridal chamber prank tonight!”

“Of course, we’ll all make some noise!”

“Definitely.”

The revelry stretched from noon into the evening banquet. Most men were thoroughly drunk, save for the more restrained guests. I stayed sober—I didn’t want anything truly outrageous to happen in the bridal chamber.

I’d heard recent bridal pranks had grown outrageous and vulgar; tonight proved the rumors true.

“Jiahao, hurry up and consummate with the bride!”

“Yeah, strip if you have to, do what needs doing—we’ll stand guard!”

“Next year we’ll have a fat little boy, don’t be shy!”

Inside the bridal suite, my cousin’s rowdy friends crossed every line. Most relatives watched for entertainment; some guests whispered disapprovingly at the escalating chaos.

“Wife, let’s just give them a show tonight, yeah?” My cousin, thoroughly drunk, pushed Fangfang onto the bed and began unfastening her qipao.

“Wow, faster, faster!”

“What—what are you doing? Who causes havoc like this?” Fangfang protested.

Some cheered, others gawked, but He Lulu stepped forward to intervene—clearly this had gone too far.

“Little bridesmaid, why don’t you strip too? Let us admire the real goods.”

“Yeah, yeah, pretty thing like you is meant to be cherished by men anyway!”

“Ha, shall I play a minor role and help the bridesmaid warm up?”

The troublemakers were all my cousin’s disreputable friends; the elders were still drinking downstairs.

I couldn’t watch any longer.

“Everyone out. Pranks end at the door—once they’re inside the room, the rest of us have no business here.” I had seen Fangfang’s eyes glisten with tears, her face pale with distress, while He Lulu desperately shielded her, refusing to let my cousin strip her bare before the crowd.
