Chapter 205: Those Who Flaunt Their Love

Since the last meeting, there hadn’t been any updates about the Freshman Meetup. The only change was that some foreign students were allowed to sit in on lectures.

The next few days were eerily quiet—so quiet that it made me uneasy.

Not a single person from the SR organization showed up, and Zhao Gao was also keeping a low profile.

Due to his severe injuries, Miyagi Sawano had returned to Japan ahead of schedule. I had expected him to recover in China before leaving, but instead, he took a ship directly from Tianjin and went back.

His reason? He didn’t trust Ch!nese medical treatment.

What puzzled me was that the Japanese instructor didn’t come after me at all. Miyagi Sawano even claimed that his injuries were from a fall. Seriously? A fall that cripples all four limbs? Give me a break.

I had no idea why he made up that excuse, but as long as he didn’t bother me anymore, I wasn’t going to complain.

At first, the classroom had been quiet—everyone was still trying to figure out what kind of teacher we had. But now? People skipped class openly, and those who did show up brought laptops to play games.

This lecture started with the teacher going through the usual charade of roll call.

“Xia Tian!” My name was called pretty quickly.

Slumped over the desk, I lazily responded, “Here!”

To my surprise, my answer drew a lot of attention. Two girls even moved from the front rows and sat down beside me, notebooks in hand, right in front of the teacher.

The teacher didn’t say anything and just continued calling names.

Now, with a girl on either side of me, I wasn’t sure how to react.

“Wow! It really is Xia Tian!” The girl on my right looked thrilled.

The one on my left stared at me like she wanted to devour me. “Yeah, even hotter than the rumors say!”

What the hell? Rumors? Am I some kind of legend now? I almost wanted to say something ridiculously cocky like, “Bro is just a legend,” just to see how they’d react.

I forced an awkward smile. “Uh… you two know me?”

“Of course! I’m your biggest fan!” the girl on my right gushed.

Huh? I’ve always considered myself more of a “skill-based” guy, but judging by their reactions, I’ve somehow become an idol?

The girl on my left chimed in, “Our whole dorm is obsessed with you!”

“The whole dorm? Am I really that popular?” I laughed nervously.

Both girls grinned and slid their laptops toward me.

“The school forum is flooded with posts about you!” the right one said excitedly.

I glanced at them before turning my attention to the screen.

– “Martial Arts Club Newbie Avenges Vice-Captain, Beats Up Japanese Punk!”

– “Martial Arts Club Newbie’s Name Revealed: Xia Tian (Neude Photos Inside).”

– “Here to Challenge Again! Martial Arts Newbie Xia Tian Strikes Back!”

– “Freshman Xia Tian Dominates Thai Boxing Prodigy—Leaked Footage!”

– “Thai Boxing vs. Chinese Martial Arts: Rising Star Xia Tian Scores Again!”

My head was spinning. Page after page, it was all about me. Was this really necessary?

Then I saw one titled: “I’m Xia Tian’s Girlfriend—AMA!”

My girlfriend? Seriously? Since when does Mei’er even use forums?

Curious, I clicked on it. The OP was acting all cutesy, but the post itself was just: “RT (as title).” Below were questions from other students.

– “Pics or GTFO!”

– “OP, I know you—you were begging me for ‘seeds’ the other day!”

I skipped the first few replies—typical forum trolls. But the further I scrolled, the more horrified I became.

Someone actually asked: “How’s Xia Tian in bed?”

And the dumbass OP replied: “Not bad, he’s the endurance type!”

What the hell?! Since when?! I’m still a v!rgin, d*mn it!

But the real kicker? Someone later exposed the OP—he was a guy the whole time!

“Don’t mind that idiot,” one of the girls beside me said, noticing my expression.

I sighed and forced a smile. “It’s fine…”

“Hey, do you really know martial arts?” the girl on my right asked suddenly.

I nearly choked. So you became my fan without even knowing if I could fight?

The girl on my left smacked her friend’s arm. “Of course he does! You saw that video of him fighting that Thai freshman, didn’t you?”

“Oh, right!” The other girl nodded, still looking a bit clueless.

“Xia Tian… can we hug you?” the left girl asked seriously, not even blushing.

The right one nodded eagerly.

Neither of them was particularly beautiful, but they weren’t ugly either. Still, I wasn’t in the mood.

I needed an escape plan—fast.

Smiling, I said, “Sure, but it’s a bit awkward sitting down. Let’s stand up first.”

The moment they stood, I vaulted over the desk and bolted out of the classroom!

Only when I was sure they weren’t chasing me did I stop to catch my breath.

Who knew a few fights would make me this famous? Were these college students really that bored?

I thought about heading to the Martial Arts Club to find Yang Xue and Yang Fan, but it was closed. They must’ve been in class.

With nowhere else to go, I returned to the apartment.

Sister Lin had no afternoon classes, so she was at home watching TV with Mei’er. Xu Xin and Qin Mengdie had lectures, like me, so they weren’t around.

Wang Ziyan seemed busy—I hadn’t seen her in days. Probably working on another big case.

The moment I walked in, Mei’er dropped the remote and ran over to hug me. “Xia Tian, you’re back!”

Before I could reply, Sister Lin muttered, “Hmph! Those who flaunt their love must die!”

What the hell? Did I offend her recently?

“Yeah, class ended, so I came back,” I said with a smile.

Sister Lin scoffed. “Class ended? Bullshit. It’s way too early!”

I really wanted to kick her right then. Why did she always have to stir up trouble?

Pulling Mei’er to the couch, I sighed. “Is this because I forgot to give you a massage? Really?”

“Oh, so you do remember neglecting your dear sister?” She glared at me.

Truth was, I hadn’t forgotten—I’d been avoiding it. Last time nearly killed me. If I did it again, I might not survive.

Mei’er looked between us curiously. “What massage?”

“Nothing!” Sister Lin and I answered at the same time. Guess we were both guilty.

Clearing her throat, Sister Lin changed the subject. “I heard there’s a bonfire party tonight for freshmen and the foreign students. You going?”

“Bonfire party?” I blinked. Since when was this a thing?
