Chapter 213: Take This Brick!

“What a shame that the little girl earlier didn’t have a physical body!” The towering figure spoke regretfully before pointing at the unconscious Qin Mengdie and saying, “But it’s fine, there’s still this one. Her blood must taste delicious.”

Completely ignoring me, he strode toward Qin Mengdie.

With the shadows no longer concealing him, his appearance was now fully exposed.

He stood nearly two meters tall but appeared somewhat gaunt. Like the previous assassin, this man was also a foreigner—though his face was far paler, with an eerie, sinister aura.

What surprised me even more was that he was dressed in archaic noble attire. Combined with his earlier words, a thought struck me—could this giant be a legendary vampire? Aside from the lack of visible fangs, everything else fit.

“Take one more step, and I’ll make you pay in blood!” I swiftly blocked Qin Mengdie’s path, glaring at the giant with a low, threatening voice.

The giant burst into laughter upon hearing me. “An insignificant ant dares to speak so boldly? It’s been ages since anyone dared to address me like that!”

Damn it! Who does this foreign bastard think he is?!

“Try me and see if I’m just an ant,” I challenged, staring him down.

The giant smirked before snarling, “Since you’re asking for death, don’t blame me!” With that, he lunged at me.

His speed was incredible—the fastest I’d encountered among all my opponents so far. Still, he wasn’t as absurdly quick as that swordsman from before, or else I’d have been instantly killed.

I activated my Purple-Gold Enchanting Eyes, raising my mental focus to its peak and locking onto the giant.

Without warning, crimson claws sprouted from his fingers, slashing toward my neck.

Instead of retreating, I stepped forward, raising my black dagger to meet his strike.

Clang—Crack!

First came the metallic clash of blades, followed by the sound of something shattering.

The first exchange ended with the giant’s complete defeat—every one of his claws except his thumb had been cleanly severed by my dagger.

The black dagger’s sharpness far exceeded my expectations. Then again, maybe his claws were just poor quality—definitely not “Made in China.”

“A mere dagger, yet so sharp? Once I kill you, it’ll be mine!” The giant sneered, then twisted his face into an expression like he was straining to take a dump.

Wait… is he charging up an ultimate move?

My nerves tightened to the extreme. Given how constipated he looked, this attack had to be devastating. Shit, I didn’t bring Flash—what do I do?!

“Shit! What the hell is going on?!” Just as I braced for the worst, the giant suddenly cursed in frustration.

You’ve gotta be kidding me! Don’t play me like this—I was all worked up for nothing!

“What did you do to my nails?!” he roared, glaring at me furiously.

I blinked, then smirked. “Everything except $ex.”

“You damned ant! You’re dead!” Enraged, the giant charged at me again.

I dropped my playful attitude. Compared to the last assassin, this guy was on a whole different level. In terms of raw power, I surpassed him, but my real weakness was my lack of combat experience.

The best strategy? Play weak to catch him off guard—then kill him in one strike!

This time, the giant lashed out with his other hand, but when he saw me raise the black dagger again, panic flashed across his face. He retracted his claws and switched to a kick aimed at my abdomen.

I quickly adjusted the dagger’s trajectory, blocking my stomach.

Seeing this, the giant pulled his foot back again.

“Boy, if you’re a real man, put that dagger away and fight me fair and square!” The giant seemed genuinely afraid of the black dagger now, resorting to this idiotic taunt to make me drop it.

Seriously? I only cut a few nails—why’s he so scared?

I grinned. “You think I’m stupid? If I throw it away, how am I supposed to fight you?”

The first part was just nonsense—the last sentence was the real bait.

I wanted him to think that without the dagger, I’d be defenseless, lulling him into carelessness.

Sure enough, the giant’s lips twitched upward when he heard me.

“Throw it away, and I’ll spare both you and that little girl. How’s that?” He didn’t attack but instead tried to negotiate.

Now I was starting to doubt his intelligence. Does he really think I’m that dumb? Do I look like a three-year-old to him?

“Really…?” I pretended to consider it, but before I could finish, the giant suddenly accelerated, appearing right in front of me. With a sharp punch to my wrist, he knocked the black dagger to the ground.

Damn it! I thought he was just a dumb brute, but he was actually trying to distract me!

Most protagonists in stories face one idiot after another, but I seemed to have run into a smarter one.

“Hahaha! Die!” The giant roared in triumph, throwing a punch straight at my chest. I tried to block, but it was too late—his fist connected before I could react.

The punch itself didn’t do much damage. After all my body’s tempering, I wasn’t quite invincible, but I was close.

Still, the sheer force sent me crashing to the ground.

The impact rattled my organs, and I couldn’t help but cough violently.

Before I could recover, the giant grabbed me by the throat and lifted me into the air.

“An ant is just an ant. Without that divine weapon, you’re nothing but trash!” He spoke as if I were already a slab of meat on his chopping board.

I quickly channeled True Qi into my trachea, pushing outward—but then I stopped halfway.

I’m supposed to be playing weak! If I break free now, he’ll get serious, and I’ll lose my chance to kill him. So I withdrew the True Qi again.

The moment I did, the giant pulled me closer, licking his lips.

Oh hell no! Does this guy have some kind of fetish?! Screw playing weak—I’m fighting back NOW!

But just as I gathered True Qi to resist, it was too late—he puckered his lips and leaned in as if to ki$$ me.

Holy shit! He really is a damn p9rvert!

“Aaaah!” Instead of ki$$ing me, he sank his teeth into my neck—only to let out a bloodcurdling scream the moment he made contact.

Before I could process what happened, I was hurled through the air.

I quickly stabilized myself with Levitation Technique and looked back at the screaming giant.

He was clutching his mouth, groaning in pain.

So he really is a vampire! He tried to suck my blood, but my skin was too tough—must’ve shattered his fangs.

Perfect chance! Now’s the time to strike!

I landed, snatched up a brick from the ground, and charged at him.

“Hey! Take this brick!”

CRACK!

The brick smashed against his skull—but the result wasn’t what I expected. Not only did the giant not get knocked out, but the brick… shattered instead!

“You! You’re dead!” The brick attack enraged him completely. His eyes burned with murderous intent, and I instinctively took a step back.

Seeing the danger, I immediately activated Levitation Technique and shot into the sky.

No way he can fly too, right? …Wait, shit! He’s a vampire—of course he can fly!
