Damn! Why is it that every time things get critical, someone always interrupts! This time, no one avoided it, but next time, trying to k!ss her might be more difficult. After all, she’s already learned a few things and won’t be easily fooled again.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
There was another knock at the door. Looking at Mei’er, who had turned into a necklace, I sighed helplessly and walked towards the door.
“Who are you looking for…” As I opened the door and spoke, I felt a sharp pain in my lower abdomen. Someone had kicked me to the ground. Although the force wasn’t great, I was completely unprepared and fell over.
“Damn!” I cursed angrily. After all, being kicked out of nowhere doesn’t feel good, especially when I was already in a bad mood.
“I’m sorry, Xia Tian, I didn’t mean it…” I looked up to see Sister Lin standing in front of me with a guilty expression.
I patted my butt and stood up. Sister Lin’s expression was genuine, not fake. This kick was in vain; I could only consider myself unlucky.
“Sister Lin, your welcome gift is really something, knocking me down completely!” My mood wasn’t great after being kicked for no reason, but since it was Sister Lin, I could only complain a little.
Who knew my words would offend Sister Lin: “I already said sorry! Why are you so petty? Are you even a man?” Sister Lin said angrily.
Already in a bad mood, her words made me snap: “Who the hell isn’t a man! Do you want me to take off my pa*nts to prove it?”
Sister Lin was stunned by my words, her mouth open but not saying a word.
I ignored her, sat on the sofa, poured myself a glass of cold water, and started drinking.
“Xia Tian, are you in some kind of trouble?” Sister Lin didn’t lose her temper like usual, which was really surprising.
I shook my head from the sofa: “No…” I didn’t want Sister Lin to know I’d been expelled from school; it wasn’t something to be proud of.
“If you have any problems, tell me, don’t keep it to yourself.” Sister Lin patted my shoulder, looking very serious.
I forced a laugh: “What trouble could I have? Who am I? Xia Tian!” I reached out to touch her forehead: “You don’t have a fever, so why are you being so kind today?”
“Get lost!” Sister Lin swatted my hand away: “I heard from Uncle Wang that you came back early this morning, so I came to check on you.”
She took the glass from my hand and took a sip: “It’s only midday, shouldn’t you be in class?”
“I wasn’t feeling well, so I took a leave.” I made up a reason, hoping she’d buy it. And Uncle Wang, why did you have to tell her you saw me?
“No wonder…” Sister Lin nodded thoughtfully: “What’s wrong? Maybe I can find some medicine for you.”
“It’s just a stomachache, nothing serious. Drinking some warm water should help.” Seeing she wasn’t pressing further, I felt relieved.
“Any other symptoms? Nausea?” She poured me another glass of warm water, and I nodded without speaking.
“Do you feel like throwing up?” she continued. I drank some water, pretending to feel unwell: “A little…”
“You’re pre*gnant!” Sister Lin exclaimed in shock.
“Spit!” I sprayed the water I was drinking everywhere, unfortunately, it all landed on Sister Lin.
“Sister Lin, this look suits you.” I laughed awkwardly. She was dripping wet, her hair soaked, and she threw a cushion at my head in anger.
“Sister Lin, I’m sorry, I’m sorry!” I quickly apologized while dodging her blows, afraid I might not survive.
“Hmph!” Sister Lin snorted, still angry. I jumped off the sofa, dodging her attacks.
“You look fine to me! Didn’t you say you had a stomachache?” she scolded while throwing the cushion at me, which I caught mid-air.
“What’s really going on? Tell me!” Sister Lin seemed genuinely angry, more than ever before.
I sighed, looking at her seriously: “Sister Lin, I’m really fine!”
“Really?” She gritted her teeth, and I could almost hear them grinding. I shivered in fear.
Just when I thought I was done for, she suddenly smiled: “Then I’m relieved!” What kind of logic is this!
“Do you have time now?” she asked while drying her hair with a towel. Since I’d been expelled, I had plenty of time but didn’t know why she was asking, so I hesitated: “Why?”
“Do you have time or not?” she asked impatiently.
“I do…” I replied reluctantly.
“Then come shopping with me!” She threw the towel on the sofa, smiling. Hearing this, I almost wanted to grab a kitchen knife and end it all.
Why, heavens, why? I’ve only gone shopping with Sister Lin once, but it was unforgettable. I even put it on my blacklist; it was unbearable! Who makes a guy go with them to buy underwear?
It was bad enough going in, but why did she make me pick out nice ones? Remembering the store clerks’ looks, I wanted to die. Carrying bags all afternoon without a break, and she didn’t even treat me to a meal!
“Ha… haha…” I laughed awkwardly: “Sister Lin, I just remembered I have something to do, so I can’t go shopping with you!” I tried to escape but couldn’t get away from her grasp.
Following her with a bitter face while she was delighted, I wondered why she made me carry a brick today.
“Xia Tian, come here!” She called, and I quickly ran over, hiding the brick behind me to avoid stares.
“Sister Lin, can I put this brick down? It’s not a good look.”
“Never mind that, look at what I got you!” She turned around, holding red boxer shorts with “Angry B!rds” on them.
“How about these? Nice, right?”
